I remember an interview Billy did where he talked about this performance. He said that's exactly why they hadn't done live TV before. 🤣 He said his in-ear monitors were extremely low, him and Dusty could barely hear Frank. He said the only thing they COULD hear was that "Dog gone loud ass Trumpet"!! 😂 Anyone who has seen ZZ Top knows they are extremely tight. RIP Dusty!

Billy is a genius and a lot smarter than the other two.....Frank lives right outside of Pecan Grove Plantation in Richmond, Tx and I lived in that subdivision for years and saw Frank running up and down Pitts Rd on his golf cart. I did electrical work at Dusty's house in San Leon in the 90s and his business manager gave us each one of those caps. I still have mine. That property is in sad shape now. It's sad to see it when you drive by. When I was there, it was the original house, not the one now. It had a winding staircase and the wall was lined with gold and platinum records. He turned the tack room in the barn into a bar/man cave.
