My housemate's husky doesn't howl at me when I tell him no! He does this whole weird 'duck dive dodge and dibble' thing where his head turns into an owl and he'll lean his entire body against my leg! My housemate, though. My housemate gets howled at *constantly* LOL

My 21 yr old dachshund did that a couple of days before he passed.... He had stopped chasing squirrels for a couple of years but he suddenly decided that enough was enough and got within a few inches before the squirrel made its escape through a chain link fence! My dachshund was SO proud that he defended us from the evil tree rat one last time! RIP Opie!

A true border collie would use this as HIIT herding practice. If you can herd a husky then herding sheep, goats, and cattle is trivial.

So many have no clue their abilities! I agree 💯!! I'm a Heeler lady myself. 25 years, 2 of em. One 14 yrs one 11 yrs. I still cry. They'd heard my dumber dogs for me and carry things for me at my kids ball games, mainly their own leash. Leash law, but didn't say who had to hold it. Lol. Kids gathered all over her. She'd not leave my side for nothing. Loyalty!!! Smarter than most people. Love herders. ❤️

Yes! My boy sometimes acts like he is all grown up and then one day I’ll try to make him come back inside and he takes off across the backyard after just scratching to be leg in.

I don’t know many who can be just like him about a certain kind of dog breed and crack up whoever watches his video’s… but it’s also great that there are many video’s on social media that can make us laugh a lot where we just keep watching them. I must have the most unhusky husky ever. She doesn't get Zoomies and prefers to just be a couch potato, she doesn't howl and I can count on one hand the amount of times I've heard her making noise, she doesn't dig and hates getting her paws wet or dirty, and has never tried to escape our yard (our German Shepherd American bully mix is another story). The only husky quality she has is she loves the snow.🤣

As a petsitter who works with a wide variety of breeds and lives with a husky, yeah, this is spot-on. When a border collie says you need to chill out with the running around, that's some serious shit 😂😂😂😂

Makes me think my great dane is part husky sometimes with how crazy she can be, running around the living room kitchen, bedroom. It's just when she runs into you and she takes you out because she also weighs 140 pounds.

This reminds me of my brother's Mom's great Danes. She had 2 and they lived in an apartment. We would take them into the Forrest preserve so they could run the zoomies out. They would give us huge head starts and could keep up with the deer. I loved those dogs so much.

“Short and not-so-sweet” perfect for the chihuahua!!

My 14yo mix is like 15% husky, and I think it's her life's mission to become full husky. Everything except the howling - she has the zoomies, the love of snow, the digging. I try to tell her she looks like a sad, cold, old lady and call her in, and she just rolls her eyes and continues becoming a snowbank 😆

My husky died three months ago. Scarlett was the greatest running partner I ever had with her and I going for daily runs up hills and mountains. We scattered her ashes in her favorite running spot during the next snowstorm. Nw we have Indigo. She is a 9 week old husky puppy and is already doing zoomies whenever she isn't teething on me or trying to tear my socks off me. Puppys for ya. We also have a Chihuahua named Ruby. She... Doesn't get along with indigo yet saw Scarlett as a mother. Hopefully the two dogs will get along soon enough

My old boy was half husky. He always got the zoomies after a bath, even though he hated baths more than anything else. This brought me back, I gotta say 🥲

As a chihuahua owner and a Husky owner - you NAILED that zoomie grin. oh my that was accurate. haha, loved it. You know so much about dogs and their personalities - why do I get the feeling your life's work will have something to do with dogs? lol - amazing as usual.

Yeah I have a part husky, and everyone tries to tell me he isn't part husky, but between his mouthiness, his vocality and his incessant need to zoom EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME AND DESTROY THE HOUSE WHILE DOING IT is clearly a husky thing at this point

One of my faves. One of our dogs unexpectedly has been doing Zoomies (or as we call it, 'Running Dog')lately. I keep trying to get it on camera but she gets self-conscious. Go, Zoomies! 😂🎉❤🐕🐾⏩

So hilarious!! My pup is a Chihuahua mix, and find the I hate you message spot on! He either hates, tolerates or loves-without a second to think about it. I'm wondering how to 'channel' my pup. A list in his dna though shows mostly Chihuahua, Cocker Spaniel, mini Schnauzer and yes- German Shepherd! On walks he thinks he's a sled dog, looks like a mini one. Fibromyalgia and joint hypermobility & arthritis, CFS, ibs combined with depression, anxiety and PTSD (also adhd and autism 😅) - so I totally get that the shitness never really lets up. So much sympathy to you and I hope that this particular patch of difficulty eases up soon. I for one can’t wait for it to get warmer again! Xx

Huskies are such great dogs, and they're no problem at all, provided you can give them their (minimum) five walk/runs a day. (And that you have eight-feet tall fences around your yard) (And that nothing softer than stainless steel is anywhere within their reach) But seriously, they're smart, loyal, and so funny!

i have 2 huskies and a border collie. the huskies used to always be filled to the brim with energy and would be prone to zoomies a lot of the time but as soon as i got my border collie… he tires them out within an hour due to them being unable to keep up with him and now they almost seem like 2 lazy dogs but when they spend a day with my border, they’re back to their zoomy ways 😂
