Hi Marcel and Libby! I use the suspension of the rycote also on the H1n zoom even if without it it is less cumbersome (handling noises are always annoying with these hand recorders). At 11:14 you risked roasting the windjammer with the blaze. Beautiful scenarios in Bangkok

Very helpful video ! Well over a year ago I've been watching videos of a guy who is hiking and camping in the wild places, his adventures was one thing but the quality of sounds of nature in his videos was something what really made me watching his work with real pleasure. Since then I became very passionate about field recording, however after finding out what equipement he is using I though... well... maybe one day... recorders, microphones and all equipement worth thousands of dollars/pounds. While doing my research I found your channel and been following since. Few days ago after watching couple times some of your latest videos I finally decided to order my first recorder - Zoom H1N, I am very excited to get into my new hobby and I have to say it wouldn't happen without your excellent content !! Thank you ! PS. Videography on your channel is now at the same high standard and quality as sound effects you are recording ;) All the best !

Hi ihr beiden. I found your channel and loved it instantly. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I tried out the H1N by myself recently. I like the lightweight and small size, but unfortunately I always have very much white noise in my records of ambient sounds when recording nature sounds like birds. Especially when I plugin headphones (ATH M30x) the noise is extremely dominating over the sound I want to record. Did I just got a bad device or is this normal? Anyway love your work and purchased your sound library! 👍🙂

Hello, just subscribed, good channel! I want to ask a simple question. Can we attach any external mic easily to Zoom H8? Like Rode NTG4? And do i need a external microphone for dialogue recording? I know filmmakers use ''shotgun'' microphones for dialogue recording. So as a wanna-be filmmaker, i need to buy two things, one shotgun mic and one zoomH8 for my audio production in general right? Thanks!
