Zenyatta - 2010 Santa Margarita Handicap
Спорт
Unable to make her patented outside move from the center of the track, unbeaten two-time champion older female Zenyatta looked to be boxed in turning for home and in jeopardy of losing for the first time on Saturday in the $250,000 Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap (G1) at Santa Anita Park.
Instead, Zenyatta and jockey Mike Smith angled to the inside to find sunning room for the six-year-old Street Cry (Ire) mare to lengthen her stride and she drove for the finish line.

Love this video. She's so versatile and athletic. I love it when she's looking for her opening.
she's just breathtaking to watch!
I'll have to admit, I was really worried in this race. When Zenyatta slipped down on to the rail, something we weren't used to seeing her do, and it looked as if she was going to be boxed in with nowhere to go. I breathed a sigh of relief when she finally got into the clear and took control of the race.
i know her strategy and everyoen says animals are stupid but not this one she has the heart to run and she takes control of the race her jockey is only there to supervise!!!
