    @@user-kz8mq8co8i Sorry, but it's absurd. Who's to say who's filming professionally and who's not - and it's perfectly legal for anyone to film outside or inside anyway. The only control can be banning those likely to cause a breach of the peace. There are no laws against anything else to stop anyone filming. None.

    unfortunately they would not be able to charge as even though its military there is a public right of way through to St James park ( think thats what its called at the back of horesguards) so the public can freely walk through the yard and the parade ground Agree some sort of crowd control is needed such as a one way walking path the left hand arch from street to park right hand arch from park to street nobody walks through the middle arch that is for guards and horses only.

    I've been noticing something in the couple of weeks the King's Troop has been on guard - but it may all be hooey - based on the psychological aspect of 'space'. With the King's Troop [smaller guards on smaller horses] the tourists seem themselves to have taken up less personal space thus making themselves smaller, not stood so close to the horse and allowed other tourists their pics without barging in, lingering too long or photo-bombing. When its the Blues and Reds [ bigger guards on bigger horses - and especially the Reds I've noticed ] the tourists are right in there, as close to the horse as possible, always touching and stroking the horse, pushing in to get their pic taken before others have finished, returning for another pic or to touch the horse again - really asserting their personal space thus making themselves bigger!

  • @Angie-pl3uw

    @Angie-pl3uw

    I have noticed the same thing. I had not thought of the personal space, but it makes sense. I thought that the crowd had been better behaved as they did not want to appear fools in front of these lovely young ladies. Sorry male gunners but you weren’t enough to be influencers. Also, I think that less shouts from the gunners automatically took all the fun out of trying to tease the guards into shout outs.

    A meeting to be called between those who film regularly ( perhaps those in your group chat ) HCav , Kings Troop , MOD , London Division , to draw up a set of guidelines and a contract to be signed once background checks have been completed , then an official lanyard and I.D badge issued . Anyone filming without lanyard to be yellow carded then red card and removed from the area . I know outside the gates is Westminster Council so they would have to be involved as well . Those of you who have morals and ethics are known , unfortunately there will always be wherever you go those who have neither ! Best wishes to the gentleman from Florida and to his family . Horses names , at Trooping the Colour , Claire Balding spoke to an officer from Kings Troop with his horse , official name Marmaduke Mollygrubbs , stable name Basil ! Thanks John xxx

    @@kathellison8084 I'm sorry, but this is simply absurd. Anyone is allowed to film both on the pavement outside Horseguards, which is a public pavement, and in the courtyard which is a public right of way. Hundreds, sometimes thousands, use it every day including locals who use it to commute or to exercise - I used to run through it regularly from school at Blackfriars. You can't stop any of them filming if they want to! All you can do is ban individuals inside who are causing a nuisance or undesirable or outside who are likely to cause a breach of the peace. You can't ban someone for not having permission to do what everyone has permission to do 😂.

    Excellent video again John. The crowd number at Horse Guards looks madder than a cat in a milk churn! And yes, this has it all, a gunner not afraid to let rip when needed (plus he had the look of someone who really didn't want to be there!) and the exploding water bottle did make me jump! In regards to servicemen being filmed off duty, it's so disrespectful and risky to the soldier with their families, that needs to stop. Like you say, it could affect those who film and vlog respectfully.

As you've said, people wouldn't want people going to their place of work to take photos and identify them on line of any other way. When I was working the owner of the business wanted pictures of the staff to make a web site. I didn't even want that. I admire your suggestions about licensing videographers a certain amount and being able to make them accountable for what they post. I find that lately I've only been following your channel even watching older videos to have my daily fix of horse guards instead of watching others. Stay true to you ethics and forgive my carrying on so long. Peace😃🇺🇸

I really only follow 3 of you. I have noticed a huge surge in creators. I hate to think that the troopers are being disrespected on their own time. That just isn't right. I hope you guys all work together to find a solution, that you can all live with. We take out the trash in our households. Maybe the 'Household' should do some cleaning of their own. It's time the visitors stopped being allowed to touch the horses then they wouldn't get so close to the troopers. You can see in their faces and the fact that they laugh that it is a challenge to try to get the reins, and some clearly don't understand what's being said to them. Give them time to settle down and start back slowly. The horses are being stressed by all of the foolishness.

    As a rude American I believe that people taking pictures should have to stay behind a line. No touching of the horses (stresses them out) If the crowds get too large they should have to go through a gate on the left and the right and regulated as to how many people are allowed in front of the horse guard entrance. People who are you tube (or other) creators should have to get a free permit to stand for a longer time in front of the horses. Just my thoughts on it and I realize all or most of the aboven may not be practical. Too many of these people have no respect and are completely unaware of their intrusive behavior. Good job you do handling the chaos !!!

    It is your educational commentary combined with your tremendous and visible amount of respect for all of the soldiers- including the horses- that makes your channel such a delight to watch. I happened to see the off duty video you are referring to and was shocked that it was posted. I was also shocked at Buska although I’m glad that he has taken his videos down. It’s disturbing that it affected that lovely young woman in such a public and embarrassing manner. I do not like any of the other channels- there is nothing special about just watching people with the horses and inside the gates with the guards without your commentary. It is educational and so entertaining- I love the sound of your laughter and also respect that you challenge tourists who are disrespectful of the fact that they are privileged to glimpse this historic guard and active duty soldiers. Much respect, John. I’d be delighted if they kicked these charlatans to the curb and just kept you. There is a reason that the troopers reach out to you off camera. You have earned their respect and admiration which mirrors your respect and admiration of them. My thoughts on these other idiots? They deserve to be embarrassed and humiliated via social media in the way that they do others. Turnabout is fair play.
