This popular poem by Ameer Khussrau is especially unique because it uses two languages in its form. The first line of the couplet is in Persian and the second line always in Purbi (old Hindi). For example:
Ke taab-e-hijran nadaram ay jaan, (persian)
My patience has over-brimmed, O sweetheart!
Na leho kahe lagaye chatiyan. (purbi)
Why do you not take me to your bosom.

Amir Khusro, born in Etah, UP, India, 1253-1325, wrote poetry in "Purbi" in addition to Farsi, Urdu, Punjabi & Sanskrit. Here he weaves magic in synch in Farsi & "Purbi". Subtitles add the zing and insights to the lofty thoughts. Guys embrace it. It is Indian, ours. Riyaaz, what a fabulous rendition you have done !!!! Gratitude.

Omg so close by Dallas .I lived in Belgium and saw Nusrat Fateh in 1989 in Brussels Since then His music always stayed in the Heart later i explored all the Sufi artists.Abida Parveen and Ghulam Ali where the favorites. Just a few days Rahat Fateh performed in Garland and I was partly disapointed by the cut the corners and Bollywood style. He is holding the Heritage. I love this resourcing of the true qawwali . Bless You guys. I keep a close eye on your troop. This music deserves the best there is. Erwin from Dallas or Antwerp Belgium...

Assalam o Alaikum. Nicely sung kalaam e Ameer Khusro but requires improvement in pronunciation.
Koi pyasay parindoon ko pani pila day allah kay wastay
Man you drifted some pronouciation, as if you read it in Roman Persian. Like T in "Tali" another was che.. which in Persian sounds totally different Need to struggle more

Thanks for your encouragement and positive approach. I assume you're a native Persian speaker? BTW how's your Gujarati? That's what these guys first Indian language is I think and I would bet their (imperfect) Persian/Farsi pronunciation is better than anything you could attempt in Gujarati - just saying
