Watching these shows from the beginning, I started to think Zatoichi was an avatar of the Sun Goddess, as he is a dispenser of Justice. He has more than human powers too. In this episode he uses a round mirror on his face to blind a very evil man...with the light of the Sun. Hypothesis proven true! ☀🌞🌅

Indeed, Very Touching Story.

Slow, dark with extreme close ups like all Katsu directed segments, but this one has a special charm. Ken Ogata pops up in this one. I remember that a young Juzo Itami showed up in one episode as well but I have no idea which season it was.
