YXZ Beatdown! | Badlands Offroad Park | Blownbudgetoffroad

Our trip to badlands offroad park in attica Indiana was a success! Other then a few torn cv boots we had no breakage.

All the banter about which brand is best gets pretty old. Here's the straight dope. Higher end machines are pretty decent as stock. If you're going out to intentionally push them past their limitations. You must replace all the crap that is known to frequently break and your capable of years of abuse. There will always be the occasional hero moments that bring on regret. There's more blame on the operators than they're ever willing to admit. It's not the manufacturers error for taking your machine out and beating the hell out of it. Then bitch, blame, and complain when it breaks??? Just build and maintain the machine of your choice according to how you intend on treating it and you can have a great time just like these guys did in this video. I'd love to ride with you guys! This is my kind of riding style. Bleed out every bit of fun out those things. And like I was saying, you've done the work to make them tolerate how you ride. Good job with that for sure!

Well, we ride a lot of different terrain, and in the loose mud and sand the carnivore (tire on the red machine and what I’m running now) did a lot better. I can’t speak for the life of the motoclaw cause I didn’t run them long, I do still have them and plan on running them when I do hard pack trails up north Wisconsin cause the carnivore is a soft tire. Check out some of our other videos to compare the tires, now we’re both running 30” carnivores

Austin Minton no regrets here.. but I have heard the 19 isn’t the same gear reduction as we installed, so it’s really not much of a change is what I’ve heard. Two of our group actually switched from rzrs to Yamaha’s because we simply couldn’t keep them together with our riding style, and a Yamaha in our group didn’t break one part the whole time. We cannot speak for a canam cause we haven’t had one!

LMAO!!! Right! I've been arguing with people ever since I got mine that's it's no different than my old Banshee; sure it takes some setup/mods to get it to do this stuff well, as well as requiring a skilled driver. But once dialed in they work impressively well AND are hella fun - especially with the understanding in the back of your head that not just any novice can jump in one of these and make it work well.

I'm a East coast guy myself and drove a stock geared YXZ before buying my Orange 2016 - and though the stock one did well, knowing where I was gonna be taking mine, I had it geared down at the dealer before I even picked it up (I also added the Weller OD 5th gear, Kevlar clutches, and Barnett cool spring pressure plate to my tranny at the same time). I also went 28" Bear Claw HTR's since the stock tires were definitely too small with weak construction - but I didn't really want the power loss of 30's either. Overall I think my setup is an excellent all around compromise for varied East coast terrain.
