Most of them are 9mm. Just by way of odds and how many of the stupid things are made on the market. And they commonly boast of their capacity, boast of their magic bullet and magic powder technology that has turned the bare minimum caliber into magic. The facts are LEO's in countless videos show just how magical and effective it is. 🙄 I don't feel weak and ineffective with 6 or 7 magnums in the cylinder. If I feel like I need to carry a speedloader or strip, fine. Hitting what I need to aim at is the main thing, and being able to do that when I'm not at a range staring a threatening piece of paper in the face, that's another main thing. Tactically blaaating steel swingers for 10 years doesn't prepare anyone for facing a lethal threat and being able to pull trigger on human life, overcoming that thing that is NOT natural to decent people with a conscience. All the tough-guy range time won't change that.

But there is nothing more rewarding than shooting a single action with ammo that you crafted. True classics are tried, true, and will always be viable. Thank you for your contributions.

One of the things that always keeps me coming back to your channel is the fact that when you speak you really do talk like I’m just a friend you’re having over just to shoot the breeze and what not. Lol. I really appreciate you, brother. I'm sure you don't have a clue about my past, but I have been fighting for gun rights for quite a while. I started the Winston County BamaCarry over 10 years ago and we're still at it today. Many up hill battles against self-righteous people, politicians, and governments. I've educated many and left a few sitting in their own ignorance. Chalking them up to what they are... Just like Ten Bears said. There is iron in your words.

I appreciate the way you present yourself on this channel. When you speak in terms of "talking to us like friends/brothers" that resonated with me. I too have outlived many of my friends and I tend to view (some) youtubers as friends who are invited into my home on a regular basis. That said, I feel like I know you a little bit, but you don't know me. So here's a little something... I was born in 1973 so I believe we are close in age. I'm also from Alabama. I was born at Fort Rucker and my people are mostly from that area: Enterprise, Elba, Dothan. I lived most of my life in Pensacola, Florida and currently my wife and I live outside Tallahassee, where she is from, but we spend a lot of time in Alabama. My weapon of choice is a Fender Stratocaster, but since some folks need more convincing than that, I've got a 1966 Smith & Wesson model 28-2 chambered in .357 magnum with a 6-inch barrel. It was my father's sidearm in Vietnam. He bought it after his first tour. He was a combat helicopter pilot and an officer and as such he was issued a 1911 for a sidearm. He very much liked the 1911 but he thought a wheel gun might offer a tad more reliability in the tropical environment that they were operating in over there. Especially during the monsoon season. After that, the magnum spent the next 50 odd years in dad's nightstand until he passed about 2 years ago. It was the gun he taught me to shoot on and so I've got a certain comfort with it. We aren't an open carry state, but I don't have too much trouble going CCW with it. Unless it's a thousand degrees and I have to get creative with clothing choices. As far as your content is concerned, I love the channel. I've got plenty of channels I can watch for all manner of things that interest me, but you are one of the handful that feels a little closer to home. It's funny, you always thank us for "tolerating" your rants and such but honestly, I could handle more. I enjoy your discussions on the state of affairs in our nation, and more often than not we agree. I also appreciate that you seem to have a interest in history. Hell, I wish I could hang out and talk Civil War with you. It's always refreshing to find folks who understand that we've been propagandized to hell and gone about that war as well as the events leading up to it and the reconstruction era that followed. My 3rd great grandfather served with the 5th Alabama Infantry until he was wounded. He caught some grapeshot in the thigh at Chancellorsville. Two of his brothers, my great uncles died in that war. One was serving with the 1st Alabama when he was captured at Fort Morgan. He died in the prison camp in Elmira, NY. The other one died serving with the 33rd Alabama Infantry at Perryville KY. As far as I know he died from a gunshot wound and was in a mass grave on the battlefield there. These fellers never owned any slaves, and I can't imagine they gave a damn about the aristocracy who did. Rather when Lincoln decided to raise an army to murder Americans, they did what any of us would do if we gave half a shit about our homes and families. Most importantly these men were my family and I'll be damned if I'm going to allow some shitbag Marxist dishonor them. Anyway... I could go on for quite a while, but I better stop there, I don't mean to take up too much of your time. I just wanted to reciprocate a little bit and say that I for one am here for what you are doing. Take care brother.

Some people are just too full of themselves to see any other point of view that differs from their own. I like your video content btw. I like the simple approach that doesn’t seem like I just turned on some TV show. I can do without the flashy intros and gimmicks and click bait thumbnails too. Keep doin what you’re doin.

I enjoy getting to hang out with you. I'm pretty close to your age I don't have friends outside of my wife and kids and a few people at work. I chose to be a responsible father and provider for my family and it cost me my friends along the way. Not complaining wouldn't change anything. It is amazing how the world changed and especially after covid. People are afraid of other people now. It's almost dangerous to strike up a conversation with a random person while in line at the store. People think that their way is the right way and everyone else that is different is wrong and stupid. But this is how we fix it , people like you and me show everyone that we're just folks living our best lives not hurting anyone. But we stick up for each other and for those who can't for themselves. Really enjoy your channel. Can't wait for the next video

Absolutely agree. Even if a person don’t agree with open carry or any of the other things. They still should know and understand that the people out there who wish to do another person harm are the ones who are hiding their weapons. I have yet to see an open carry guy who was the bad guy. Those gun guys/gals who want that banned don’t even realize the damage they’re doing to their own community.

I say this sincerely....please take care of your body. It's what you have. Reduce or eliminate the alcohol. 🙂 I agree with the sentiments. I personally believe a better choice is concealing, not open. But I'm not going to fuss over open carrying if I see it in public. My State allows it. I have never seen it happen except in a video of a motorcycle (sports bikes) group who toured the area, one of the female riders was open carrying. No one gave her trouble, only mentioned that she was packin. I believe there are more benefits by way of perception to conceal a firearm, than carry it open.

Before Connecticut banned open carry, I carried my 1911 on my right hip. Most guys would come up to me and give me the thumbs up. But unfortunately now I’m restricted by the communist state of CT to conceal my pistol. I’m still carrying, just not where anyone can see it. I stand with you! Any responsible citizen that wants to carry open or concealed is great in my opinion.

Well I guess that I have to get on here and comment as well. I started watching your channel about a year ago and I enjoy your style and the content that you produce. As far as approaching an individual carrying an exposed firearm, "open carry", I think that Darwin's theory will sort that problem out soon enough. There is a fellow that I see here occasionally in my little town that likes to dress in the "Old West" style and his choice of carry is the 1851 Colt Navy and yes it is capped and ready. So far I've never seen anyone at Walmart confront him about carrying. Mostly just a smile and a polite nod. As to your channel I think that it will grow to the height of it's capability, what ever that is. Continue the march.

Your videos are like me leaning on a fencepost talking to one of my younger neighbors about shooting, or the last big hog one of us shot on our places. Here in Texas we are open, or concealed carry state. I try to go concealed whenever possible just to avoid attention. (There are some whimpy folks that freak out about an armed citizen). However, if I choose to carry a 45 Colt SAA, well it's in a finely made belt holster on my hip. And if I see another citizen with his or her weapon on their hip, I'll nod my head to the men folk, and tip my hat to the ladies. They get it. But if some pinhead ever started in on me like you described, I'd just tell him to kiss my rebel ass, and walk away. 😒

Well said. I do subscribe to to that other big channel and was unhappy with those comments. Let the man have his opinion as an old FAT guy I couldn’t appendix carry and if I could I WOULD NOT. As for the open vs concealed thing… different circumstances dictate different carry options. Montana and Philadelphia are in the same country but might as well be different planets. Plus you never know when you are gonna run into an ALABAMA grizzly

Not a bad "rant". Years ago when the Internet was new... barely out of it's Arpanet stage, I ran what was then called a "webzine". It never really got all that big, but at my peak, I had more people visit each month than Jesus had in his Earthly ministry. This kind of put things in perspective for me, so I tried to do my best. Got in a sort of flame war with the local Satanists and discovered how far gone our society was even twenty some years ago. You keep up the good works! I don't have a Ruger .41 YET. Might attempt to fix that soon.

Love your videos! And yes you are a cool dude. After watching most of your videos I bought a 45 LC Taylors & Co Pietta with 5.5 inch barrel with a case hardened frame and I am loving this gun. Now it is my everyday carry instead of my M&P 9mm. I am enjoying the cowboy loads and I do not load my own so I am using HSM Cowboy action cartridges. Question, these rounds have small primers instead of large primers like used in other rounds like Hornady which is more money, does it matter?

shocking what some folks say on YT. Besides my wheel gun and lever my other passion is motorcycles, been riding 55+ years. the other day some content creator was calling for EU regulations in licensing to ride... in the US! Shocking because it is very hard and cost many dollars in their step-to-be-able to ride, that it is crazy to be able to own a good SIZE bike across the pond. Heard that! I'd prefer to get along, myself. Some folks can't just let others be.

I notice when People are Carrying if they're doing so Openly but unless they're waving it around or Pointing it at me I don't Care. I can kind of understand the whole "police your own" thing but that doesn't apply to someone whose just doing something they're allowed to be doing. I think the Idea is that if we "Police Ourselves" then it will somehow weaken the Constant Degradation of The Right to Keep and Bare Arms. I think That's the Idea but I also think that Idea is a Foolish One. we can Argue the Merits of whatever Guns vs whatever Else as but long as you've Got an Iron you like and it works I don't see the Point in taking the Banter too Seriously. I just like to See and Hear and talk about Guns.

Watched all the videos on the Cimarron (Pietta)Frontier SAA clone .45 Colt, was the action and trigger that good out of the box? Are did you have a trigger job done?

Some are better than others. The Uberti guns are typically heavier actioned than the Piettas gun...when they aren't "tuned" models.

@@jray7577 I've never had any aftermarket tuning done...but I've had one tuned model from Taylor's that felt as nice as a buddy's tuned Cimarron Evil Roy. I do some polishing at home and call it a day

Hell, even if someone is carrying a long gun openly its still none of my business. It only becomes my business if they point it at me or some other innocent bystander. Then again, I'm a 2A absolutist. If the Bill of Rights says shall not be infringed, it means just that. I'll play nice, but, honestly all these laws and regulations are unconstitutional in my opinion.

I talk to everyone about the same but.... The 'brotherhood' of gun guys or car guys or fabricator guys etc? that makes it easy. I had thought of doing a channel. Well... my son did anyway LOl.... they think that what I have to offer on tips etc is worth hearing and my 'enthusiasm' I guess. But that is how I am. Maybe I am manic? but if you arent enthusiastic..... I mean seriously? I see guys on KZread who frankly bore me to death no matter what info they are imparting. To me? even tho not a fan of tacticool? to each his own. Driving an old C`10 truck hot rodded I get people walking up to me... and that is what it is all about

No clue who the other tuber is, but we have enough karens running around making people miserable, we don't need any (more) in the gun community. If someone is afraid of an open carry, they would be very scared if they could see how many guns they are in close proximity to in a normal day about town. Fear of firearms is a neurosis.
