Mr. Michaelis was a long-term sub for my history class back in 2006 in the PNW, and boy the guy was funny as hell. You’d be hard-pressed to find a student that didn’t love him. A few years after I graduated, I saw him directly before a show and he was mortified to find out a former student of his would be in the crowd - the jokes were killer, though. Wishing him continued success!

This guy is actually hilarious, I hope he goes far.

An old dentist I no longer see from a whole other state emailed me happy birthday. My mother doesn't seem to have "Happy birthday" or "I love you too" in her vocabulary. She claims she doesn't even remember her own birthday, but when you say "Happy birthday" to her, she gets the fakest look of shock on her face "OH! It's my birthday?!? I DIDN'T EVEN REMEMBER my own birthday!!". 😒 It's just an excuse so she doesn't have to put any effort into anyone else's birthday, in my opinion. She's never given a birthday party to myself or any of my siblings, except my youngest brother when he turned 1, and that was 29 years ago! I'm 38 now. She bought me a cake this year at 9 pm the day of my birthday (8 days ago) after my uncle told her he was coming the next day from out of state 'for my birthday'. Which was also really weird because I haven't seen him in around 10 years and I was never close to him growing up... They must know something I don't?? Why all of a sudden? I'm 38 now. 🧐 lol Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear human... Happy birthday to you! Aaaaand maaannyyyyy moooooooore... I was never sang to and I know how I felt forgotten on my day and I don't want anyone else to ever feel forgotten on their day. I love you simply because you exist. Happy belated/early/actual birthday!!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to pronounce french names. Used to deliver beer and wine. One of my customer's who owned and operated a fancy restaurant was named Pepiot. Had been referring to him by the same name for months until one day my employer was riding the stops with me and overheard me call him "Mr Pee Pot."

My best friend taught Black History at a college prep school. Short, old, pudgy white guy. He always got a "great teacher" rating from the mainly black students.
