    ***UPDATE*** New information has come to my attention: If you have a LOWER END CPU or are NOT RECORDING, are using NVENC and looking for BEST PERFORMANCE: try NOT using Rescale Output in the Output tab like I explain at 4:37 - and use only Output (Scaled) Resolution in the Video tab. According to NVIDIA PM @gerdelgado: "If you rescale your output in the Video settings you do it on GPU. If you do it on the output section, it's rescaled on CPU, which undoes the optimization". If you try this and notice an improvement, I'd love to hear about it! Thanks to @JoshPro for bringing this up in our Discord.

    i feel like when i record everything looks stuttery, not sure if its cause im used to playing at high fps then watching recordings at 60fps is making me just think its stuttery or if it really is. have 3080TI, 5900x 32gb 3600 ram and everything to go with it, no dropped frames but feel like it looks bad lol.

    @@Rhyfelwr_Cymreig Hey! sorry for the delay I didn't see your response 😭. I watched your video. I think I see what you're saying. It's very hard to see while you're moving during the scene with the moving platform (right after you miss the bot 2-3 times) it shows some stuttering there. Are you updated to the latest version of Nvidia? What settings are you using to record? Maybe it might be best to talk in discord where you can send screenshots. I'm worried about any other processes using your GPU as well as potentially your power to the GPU. I'm curious about running HWMONITOR to see if it's running with proper levels and voltage. But that's last. Right now it looks like you're recording in 60fps but it's actually not at some instances. Film yourself not moving and watching that platform would be good test footage

    Would this be the same on streamlabs obs? I’ll be building my first dedicated streaming pc streaming on twitch with a c922 pro camera and capturing ps5 gameplay on hd60s* capture card. My resolution i play at on my gaming monitor and ps5 is 1440p 60/120fps, my question is should i use downscale feature on obs to 1080p 60fps or 720p 60 fps to get a crisp stream to my followers and at which bit rate? I will be plugged straight in using ethernet cord on both console and pc. I use fiber optics internet and on tester from both phone and console my download and upload are always 170-200mbps, on a bad day test so to speak, i have never saw below a 140mbps download 30mbps upload on console test reading and always 170 up and down on cell phone tester. Any insight to what resolution i should downscale to and what bit rate i should use would be appreciated. My build is ryzen 5 5600x cpu , gigabyte b550 aorus pro v2 motherboard, and rtx 3050gpu , 32gb 3200mhz ram/memory and 1tb samsung 980 pro PCIe 4.0x4 ssd storage. Look forward to your response and knowledge. Great video. With respect, Mike So i only change the downscale at video option under canvas bas resolution?

    Most probably same settings in Streamlabs yes. Can I ask why use Streamlabs? You're setting up a whole new rig, just go with OBS so you're setup for the future from the start! I'd also recommend the HD60 PRO that you install IN your pc, less wires, clutter and headache and better performance if your mobo has an extra PCIE slot. Try 1080p60, or 936p60, 720p is too low. And don't forget, it's more about content & value then "crisp quality". HD is better than "crisp" low-res. PC & internet will be no issues 👍 don't forget to change the Ram settings in your BIOS to marketed speeds with XMP Profile. Read my pinned commend about the Output Scale & Canvas Base Resolution for best performance.

    9:19 I don't do streams. I only record my MMO gameplay for KZread uploading. So since I'm only doing video recording, would Lossless at Max Quality preset be better than CQP at 14?

  • @DapeachTVStreamTips

    @DapeachTVStreamTips

    Жыл бұрын

    Great question, Max Quality Lossless might be really heavy on your PC/GPU. I'd suggest recording both and having the OBS Stats dock open to see how much of your resources are being used, then compare against the quality, AND watch the video back to see if there's any issues with the video. CQP 14 will maintain the quality level of 14 (whatever that is) and Lossless is going to have 0 compression therefore MASSIVE file sizes. Try a 10 or 20 minute recording on both and let me know which one you choose!

    Oof sorry to Hear. I've never come across that but what I'd recommend is to take note of the OBS version#, and export your SCENE COLLECTION and your PROFILE. Copy out any plug-ins you have. and Reinstall the same version of OBS (I haven't gone to OBS 28 just yet, lots of issues with compatibility I've heard). Then re-import your SCENE COLLECTION then follow my video. If it doesn't work you can re-import your PROFILE which is your original settings. I can try to help you more in Discord we have a section for tech support. That way you can share screenshots or we can jump on a call. Goodluck 🙏

    dumb question: I play and record at 1440p (RTX2080 Super / 3700x) via OBS. On youtube it looks good, so far so good. But in terms of Streaming i only have 10Mbps Upload and use OBS + Restream to Stream on KZread and Twitch at the same time. So 1440p 60fps streaming is from the Table. Even 1080p 60fps will be difficult at 6000kbps (i could set it to 8000kbps but as soon as twitch has high traffic, there will be a disconnection or massive stuttering risk on the Twitch Stream). Should i rescale my Stream Resolution to 1664x936p 60fps at 6000kbps, or 720p 60fps at 6000kbps?

  • @DapeachTVStreamTips

    @DapeachTVStreamTips

    Жыл бұрын

    No question is dumb! First off I'd ask why you're restreaming to multiple platforms? Second, 1080p60 at 6k is the recommended for Twitch, I'm not sure what issue you're coming across? I'd rescale output to 1080p60 and stream at that, but keep your recording in 1440 if you want to. 10mbps is OK if you live alone, if not, it could be tight. Finally, it's not Twitch's high traffic it's your bandwidths high traffic that will cause disconnection/massive stuttering because it's trying to output 6k/8k but your internet bandwidth is being used up so it's choking. If anything Twitch will just default to source (no transcoding). It's almost never a Twitch server/traffic issue, usually a user internet/bitrate/bandwidth issue.

    Did you update to OBS 28? It's a native feature now. If I was to choose "Optimize just for recording, I will not be streaming", can I upload this video on Facebook or KZread? What does 'streaming' means? If I choose the 2nd one(recording), can I later switch to the 1st one(streaming)? My goal is to make videos, use OBS to add pictures and short videos in my videos, then upload in Facebook and KZread. What do I need to choose?

  • @DapeachTVStreamTips

    @DapeachTVStreamTips

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes Recording is for Recording videos and uploading them to social media. Streaming is for LIVE streaming like on Twitch - the quality will be reduced and bitrate is managed differently. OBS is not used to add pictures/short videos in your videos, unless you're doing it on the fly. OBS is a live streaming tool, not a video editor. You can use OBS to record the video, then use a tool like Davinci Resolve to add those pictures/videos on top, then after export it's ready for upload! Let me know if you still need help
