I think OBS should make a muti scene view when you switch to studio mode . So you can see all scenes before you choose and make it go live

I want to use OBS to conduct interviews for youtube, how do I put up both my video screen and the person i'm recording with on the canvas too?

Okay so you can use the stream key but what if you want to connect your youtube account so that you can skip the stream key step?

For YTube the AutoConfiguration wizard, the 'connect to YTube' option skips me right past even the option to add a stream key.

If you link your account you shouldn’t need to add a stream key.

I have a Sony A7III camera with a Rode Shotgun mic hooked up to it. Does anyone know how to get OBS to recognize the mic that is plugged into the camera instead of trying to use the mic that is on the laptop?

It doesnt show me any microphone? Any idea how to fix that? Its plugged and everything i can think of doesnt work

When i record my game.. it comes up with a black screen but it records my game audio and my audio.. How can i fix this?

This was great and such a big help, but my Audio says that there is nothing else to put the Audio in. For example when i go to Settings>Audio the Desktop Audio and Desktop Audio 2 says Disabled, but there is nothing else to click on. A little help...?

I have two recommendations. 1- Update your audio drivers. 2 - Reinstall OBS Studio. If neither of these work you may be looking at a very specific issue that may be causing this.

Depends on the type of microphone you use. If your room is typically noisy I’d suggest a dynamic microphone. If you don’t want to get a new mic or if you already have a dynamic microphone I’d suggest setting a noise gate in the audio filters.
