I am from the EU but I am not EU, my voice is for Palestine! I come from Romania. I fled illegally because the regime became too harsh for several years. But that was far from what the Palestinians experienced for decades. But what happened to Ceausescu? He was assassinated. Where repression and dictatorship are simply resorted to, sooner or later there will be aggression and escalation. I think it is very difficult for Westerners who have lived in a democracy to understand this. The Palestinians, unfortunately, have no opportunities, especially as the screw is tight, while the Israelis have always received support from the powerful. It was a David against Goliath with our consent. Although the EU is not against, but on Israel's side, most people will (I hope) realise (I hope) all these games of staging and interests and stop being manipulated.

Funny how you neglected to mention the part where they attacked Israel with 5 countries with the intent to wipe them out. They lost and Israel won so they are occupied because they can't like like humans. Act like an animal you get treated like one. There are repercussions for evil intent. There is no genocide against Arabs in Israel. I was military policeman in the IDF. Every single use of weapon is monitored. As a soldier, the only way one can use a weapon is if there is a danger to one's life or to others. So this moto of genocide is simply untrue. The people who committed the atrocities of October/7th exist in great number also in the West Bank. The only way to prevent a second holocaust is to keep Judea and Samaria under martial law. It is a law, not a genocidal law and not a persecutions law. The problem is that most Europeans think of Hamas and even many of the PLO as normal people but they are not. I haven't seen anyone who's vile/rotten/cynical be truly objective and rational (they just spit half truths, oversimplifications, generalizations and anything that is cheaply popular and convincing and will become trendy due to how stupid or/and extreme it is, and will reach&influence more ppl - while objective angles get buried and mocked), but I've seen plenty who are sensitive be fair and logical (not all are or try to be that for real, but yh). That said, Varoufakis feels like Sheldon Cooper to me past a certain point, it's hard to notice any strong emotion in that man and he talks so logically but does never convince me fully. I've voted for him several times (sadly, most ppl etc prefer the unfathomably worse options instead so the Greek parliament went "full retard" again recently) but still... There's no real side of reason in political parties afaik, not one that can matter enough, and everyday ppl aren't any better too, from what I've been seeing and experiencing. So, seeing anyone pointing fingers looks ridiculous and infuriating to me, with the double standards everyone resorts to constantly and shamelessly. The fact that so many (as usual, mainly of a certain circle and its "victims"-armies) think that they're on a holy "truthbearer" crusade and members of some resistance, and others are welcoming death, only makes any sensible person understand how much of a dead end and vicious cycle we have been facing. Now, in a world where confusion, greed and cynicism (obsession with effectiveness and (financial) success too) have won, and dialogue (like how simply being good equals being an exploited sucker, as if the hateful and fanatical wannabe exploiters and troll-villains aren't, in the big picture) is widely considered "boring" unless insults fly between the participants and there is a dominant side that is able to troll and provoke non-stop... and also where most ppl try to convince each other no one is wrong or bad and everyone is good and evil at the same time, and all kinds of similar stuff have been parroted totally innocently by God's children and have created a grey madness on top of the usual black-or-white madness and its division, one can hardly find even more problematic and self-destructive techniques to expose or utilize (and there's no need to, these are doing the job and very few truly resist or stay (partially) unaffected, most don't even notice them and join whatever group/side/tribe, to "survive" in this jungle, and cling to some religion and "woke" activity to pretend to cope with everything wrong... well, yh, literally nothing is wrong in this world but you get what I'm saying). The self-inflicted prophecies are intense. If ppl won't truly calm down and unite in resisting the real deterioration and decay (instead of blaming whatever they're told it is to blame for whatever is labeled as decay etc by totally innocent ppl, and having their anger be misplaced and turned into hate and violence, and their judgement all the more clouded and less objective - nothing wrong with any view tho, move on), there's only one direction and destination ahead (but as we're all so strong and amazing and successful, and raised by holy parents+society, we also can't be affected by any silly unrealistic fear regarding these negative and pessimistic stuff, a fear that could cripple us and make us cynical and part of the problem, so we surely can and should continue being this positive and carefree before we suddenly panic when it's 100% too late - if it isn't now). And I don't mean Harry Styles' one direction, altho that was kinda close to the kind of destination I refer to, for my ears. Brb I'll need something with which to catch all the tomatoes you'll guys throw at me. I hear they sell good lately (as long as crops still exist, ppl can only worry about the prices...).

@@Placid_Cat I think people who were either misinformed or support Israel are starting to realise this, as I've seen a real drop in people openly supporting Israel. Since they can't come forward with any moral argument as to why its happening, all they do is make snarky remarks or repeat what the mainstream media is saying, but when confronted with the facts they have nothing to respond with. The truth will only continue to grow.

I'm rarely proud of my government here in Ireland, but over the last few weeks they seem to be the only non Arab country speaking up against Israel. We've had huge pro Palestinian protests here too. Today the radio was full of people demanding the Israeli ambassador be expelled from Dublin as well.

To get rid of European Jews they didn't want, to cause unrest in the Middle East, and build a military base in the Middle East to guard the oil. This is geopolitics.

I was talking about the attempt of Arab states to kill all the Jews in 1948 after the establishment of state of Israel as they attacked the newly established country.

The UN should be dismantled because they do not do, what they were united for, and that means if you or me are having our rights and life destroyed they will not intervene because they are not who they pretend to be. It's time for them to go and we can look after ourselves like we have been doing, actually the UN makes it harder for us to be treated fairly.

When in reality a lot of ww2 facts were twisted or completely made-up (lies) and influenced by specific "people" *wink wink*. Nowadays majority of our european leaders are nothing more than an ordinary bureaucrats. It's not that hard to find and connect the dots between Israel and some powerful men in the west, especially US. Big old family names, bankers, The Hollywood to name a few. Most of them have a common ancestry and upbringing. Juice.
