Just the fact that they took a land from an indigenous people only to offer some of it back it's soooo ridiculous and it shows how little they think of the Palestinians yet they are called ungrateful, terrorists and human animals amongst other degrading things.

The Palestinians had the chance to take the land back in a war that they started, and they lost. If the Palestinians had won, the Jews would have been killed or sent packing. What the Jews did to the Palestinians was what the Palestinians wanted to do to them.

Then, over time, if you do good work and build trust, you start winning more and more work. Eventually, you aim to be an indispensable and significant partner. That's something the Palestinians have never understood. They have never abandoned their dream of pushing Israel out of business. How's that going for them? Educated fools like Finkelstein support and endorse that self-destructive approach. The funny (and sad) thing is that no matter how poor his advice, he still gets to put his head down each night in a warm, safe and comfortable bed in the US. The Palestinians have made a habit of listening to the wrong people for generations.

Being Jewish means attaining the sensation of two contrasting forces in nature, the egoistic force, which is our human nature, and its opposite altruistic force, which is the force of nature itself. The attainment of these two forces define the people who, first under Abraham, developed this sensation of reality. They became known as the people of Israel, and later, as the Jews. At a certain point, around 2.000 years ago, we lost the sensation of the two forces and lived solely in the egoistic force. That is the meaning of being in exile. Exile has no geographic connotations, i.e. that we left some geographic Land of Israel and now we return to it. It is rather a matter of an inner exile, that we do not host the sensation of the altruistic nature, i.e. the quality of love, bestowal and connection, between us. When we fell from this sensation, we then entered our period of exile and ceased to exist as the people of Israel.

Then in 1948 a bunch of Europeans landed in Israel and decided to go on a mission to corral a million local indigenous people into a concentration camp and set up an Apartheid State to occupy and control those people. Israel now gets to tell the world that one group of people have been chosen by God to be Amelek and it is ok for Israel to genocide them because their book says so. Good stuff.

Problem is that the exile is a myth. Read Shlomo Sand, a Jewish Israeli historian. He said there is zero evidence of a mass forced exile of Judeans by the Romans. Similarly, the Exodus is a myth, there were never any Hebrew slaves in Egypt. The Moses and Exodus myths are a mish mash of folk tales from Levant. Archeologist, Israel Finkelstein, has written about the historicity of the old testament in The Bible Unearthed. Josephus, a Jewish historian in the first century AD said there were approximately 5 million Jews around the northern and southern Mediterranean and only 500 thousand in Judea. Judaism, at that time, was a proselytizing monotheistic religion that was spread far and wide, and appealed to pagan slaves and working classes partly because of their one day of rest for the Sabbath. Zionism is based on the myth that blue eyed, blond haired Europeans are descended from middle easterners (Abraham was from what is now Iraq) and that they have been wandering around Europe for 2000 years waiting to go back to their mother land. There is no evidence for this. Recent genetic evidence shows that at least 80% of Ashkenazi's matrilineal DNA is indigenously European. Hence the blue eyes and blond hair. Claiming that a black Ethiopian Jew, a brown Yemeni Jew, and a blond European Jew are all descended from the same people 2 thousand years ago, beggars belief.

For those who don't know, Prince Bandar set the record straight. He said the deal was backed by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan and the Gulf States. Bandar said it was not a bad deal and many Arab League states desperately wanted Abu Ammar (Arafat) to say yes. When he turned it down, Bandar said it was a lost opportunity that might never come back. He said since then Arab countries shifted their focus to their own national interests and decided to forget about Palestinian statehood. That explains their ambivalent attitude towards the Palestinians, they prefer it to be an Israeli problem.

The terms and conditions of a Palestinian state was a convoluted map with no right of return for Palestinians and no access to independence to do things that any other state has to protect its borders and its people. That is not an Independent state of Palestine. Yasser Arafat was right to reject it. Your husband was a sell out to the Israeli lobby and this was just to put on record your cold gesture towards Palestine and Palestinians. The Borders were not even the 1948 or the 1967 borders. Settlers cannot come in and dictate to the original inhabitants what they can and cannot do or have of their own homeland. All of Palestine belong to Palestinians Muslims and Christians, not to transplanted Zionists.

As the Israeli population and the Palestinian population on the land known as Israel/Palestine is roughly equal the land should be devided 50/50 but instead of the existing difficult to control borders there should be a straight line running from East to West, that way both sides will have some land from the river to the sea. The other alternative is to absorb all the Palestinian land into Israel and give Palestinians full equal rights in Israel including voting rights. The existing situation of having second class citizens living in segregated sections of Israel is totally unacceptable to the world.
