    The whole aspect of a very few wealthy arab owners selling arid or semi-arid land at 10x the price is something on one talks about. I can't quite get a sense of how MUCH land we are talking about, but it is such an important detail. Another thing that seems to have happened, around 1850 there were about 300k people in the area. Once Jews and Brits moved in and started improving the land, Arab populations PARTICULARLY in Jewish areas doubled or tripled. So in fact, of the 700k or so refugees, many were Arabs who migrated to the land recently and those Arabs came from the surrounding areas.

    @m.chumakov1033 it was more than just 1940, it was most of the war. This was really sad because many jews ended up dying. The British made promises to the Jews and encouraged their migration to the region previously for many years before the war and promised them a state. They bought land from Arabs that were willing to sell. Then when the war broke out, the Brits didn't want the Arabs against them and put immigration limits on Jews. The Brits flip flopped a lot.

The invading zionists, according to Israeli author Shlomo Sand in his book "The invention of the Jewish people are jewish converts alien to palestine. In the 8th century ad the Khazar kingdom in ukraine converted to judaism and would go on to make the ashkenazi jewish population in europe. Yemenis converted to judaism during the yemeni kindom o Himyar in the 5th century ad during the rule of Dul Nawas. There were jewish kingdoms in iraq and north africa as well. This confirms what I found in my study of the Ottoman Land Registy Project of 1853. Much od that land was actually unowned used by nomads, much od it desert and swamp. Upon launch of the Registry, wealthy Muslims came from Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, etc to claim these lands as theirs, although they had no proof of deed ownership. Those were the lands sold to Jewish settlers. So if the Palestinians want to claim land theft, they had better go back and make their claims to the large Muslim absentee landowners.

  • @MoseleyJon

    @MoseleyJon

    Wow, interesting on many levels. Of course, one small thing, is that in contrast to a nomadic culture our (to the other extreme) concepts of land ownership are not shared by the whole world or every society in world history. No doubt there are shades of everything in between. But the idea that wandering nomads have to draw up deeds and file them in the local courthouse is a mindset we have that was not always shared by everyone. If anyone takes that as arguing for one side or another, you miss my point. But I'm not sure how to say it better.

    Which pulls the rug out from under the Fake Palestinian grifters. They have no claim to Israel's land, which was 4 times bigger in the past and includes all the land claimed to be Palestine. Nation states? What nation state was ever Palestine, meaning the current grifters who moved in after 1917? So when we go down the list of considerations we find a perfect ZERO for any claim of any of the modern "Palestinians" The United Nations and the UK which was given a mandate after the Ottoman Empire collapsed Gave the so-called Palestinians a homeland in the newly created / defined country of Jordan. By every modern international agreement and status, the Palestinians live in Jordan, not in historic Israel. But there is a problem: The Palestinians were so violent and criminal that Jordan kicked them out. I'm not saying that is right. I think a dictatorial country such as Jordan could very well arrest the guilty and leave the innocent alone. Proper law enforcement should have been able to solve these problems. But Jordan got tired of the Palestinians trying to assassinate the King of Jordan and over-throw the government of Jordan. So if we consider only modern status, a) The Palestinians belong in Jordan b) The Jordanians won't have them c) The Palestinians do not belong in the land they now claim d) They have no right to murder Jews because the Palestinians can't live at peace with other Arabs. @@Handle1969

    Relax handle, the book you pray to has stories as old as the blasphemy you speak... The fact remains though that palestine wasn't a nation until 1988. So why it exists on a map before that without specifying region is beyond me. Furthermore, all this land was ottoman. A conquered people do not get to dictate their borders, they get to be conquered. The government that came in to rule allowed Jewish migration and formed plans for a Jewish nation to be born again. Then ww2 destroyed that nations economy and the region was handed to the United nations. The UN then followed in line with brittains previous plans. They sent offers to the leaders. Isreal accepted, palestine did not. At which point the proposed Palestinian nation was invaded by 3 nations. Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. When this happened Palestine died. Israel also found itself at war with these nations. They fought and took lands as well, most likely to defend their borders and the holy land. The war reached a stalemate for 20 years. 20 years in which there was no palestine. Finally in 1967 Israel launched a massive assault taking more lands until they could force a peace agreement that gave them all of Israel and palestine by treaty. The people of Israel which had fought and bled for land not considered theirs then turned to the Arabian people of palestine and said here you go this land is yours. The Arabians once again said no. Israel then peacefully backed away from these areas to allow the Arabians to govern themselves. Then 20 years later in 1988 Palestine finally became a nation, thanks to Isreal. The world lived happily ever after... or Palestine is crazy. You decide!

    If religion is the basis for solving all land issues, then we are in for never ending conflicts. Ethnic cleansing can never be the answer. It also shows how world powers meeting in NY decided to carve out a country without asking the residents of the land and setting up a intractable conflict. In Palestine, the returning Jews dispossessed the local residents of their lands and now want the locals to further compromise on property rights. “Whose land is it” is a world-wide question. Isn’t this Q relevant to North America, Australia, New Zealand etc. Criminals and economic migrants from Europe looking for a better life displaced local residents and colonised these areas. Should these migrants return to their ancestors homelands?

    SO you don't mind if migrants go back to where they came? But what if all the migrants took back all the fringe benefits ( modernisation) with them. I'm sure the ethnic people wouldn't like that. As a New Zealander , I've seen the government bending over backwards for Maori, and reimbursing them over past wrongs. It's never ending. Also a lot of Maori welcomed British government rule back in the day, because it put an end to Maori inter tribal wars.

    @@daveyboy6985 yours is the argument of the whiteman the master & slave owner. The slave owner says the slaves love me because I feed them, house them in shacks, provide warm clothes- all free of course. All they had to do is serve me in the fields or in my house. Just imagine without me they will be sleeping under trees, hiding from wild animals and wondering where the next meal come from. In fact the slaves are so grateful that I provide work from sunrise to sunset. Come on man, you are smart than your excuses. The whiteman benefited tremendously in the past 300 years all over the world taking lands and resources. I wonder what will be the position if the Jews were not considered white.

    After WW2, Europe was divided up differently from before the war! The US is divided up into 48 states plus Alaska and Hawaii! If one of the states decided to take part of a neighboring state just bc it could, how would that go over? I am tired of the indigenous argument! The American Indians came from another land and fought among themselves over territories! The Inuits in Alaska came over the Bering straits from Russia! The US had the Louisiana purchase from the French and Alaska from Russia! How did those countries get that land? We got land from Mexico to get Texas and California! I could go on and on! These are considered legit! Why not Isreal getting their land from the British?

    Truth matters to the humble and lovers of truth, but that let's out most Muslims, especially the jihadis. Most Palesti Ian's don't realize that the Nakba was launched by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, in exile in Cairo. But when his "glorious Arab armies" lost, he made NO PROVISION to try to care for those who fled upon his command, who would have kept their homes (most of whom did not own them), and would likely not have been driven out by Israel, had they been willing to live in peace. If someong should be blamed,, it's a negligent, arrogant Mufti.

    I've heard both sides of the story, and heard from eye witnesses (Palestinians that were there that lived to tell), their stories were very real and horrendous, they were shot, bullied off their land and the little boy that lived to tell his story had witnessed a father being instructed to throw his son into the fire and when he refused, they did it for him and then threw the father in after him, another man remembers the Jews forcing his dad off his land that he had nurtured for years and years, he had such a connection to his beautiful fertile land, he had sought some comfort that even if he was taken away from his beautiful abundant land filled with fruitful trees and bounty, at least he thought the trees / farm would be kept however, they ripped it out to build over, when he learnt of this, he cried and cried and eventually soon passed away, his son witnessed this and still cries today as does the other man that lived to tell, what happened to the Palestinians were horrific and barbarak and the Nakbar was unimaginable, my heart goes out to the people whose lives have been turned upside down and traumatized for years and years, THIS was the reality, it WAS occupied and law had been broken under international law following genocide, I pray that this injustice stop and an end to this war in Jesus name amen*

I'd be interested to see the history of jews being kicked out of different countries, the reasons or justifications for doing so, how much they got for their land, how peaceful the removal was, how well compensated and taken care of they were, etc. I feel like most of that was sarcasm cause I know most ejections were mass slaughters and the rest were booted with barely the clothing on their backs. Yet they persevered, and are now demonized for daring to overcome those tremendous hardships instead of succumbing to the victim mentality, and victim hiarchy they were "supposed" to follow, according to todays western elite.

    Skipped is the fact that pre-Zionism, the land was repeatedly described by Western visitors as desolate and deserted. The towns were shabby and sparsely populated. Jerusalem was a wreck of 20,000 inhabitants, most of them Jews. It was only after the Jews began to work to give that region economical value that Arabs from surrounding countries began to enter, ending is a torrent during the British Mandatory period. The British, charged by the League of Nations with helping to establish a homeland for the Jewish people, instead gave the land away to the Arabs, closing the door on Jewish immigration (even those trying to escape Hitler) and allowing unrestricted immigration by Arabs. The Tribe of Judah are not all of Israel and few "Jews" today are even Israelites, but are descendants of proselytes. According to the European Journal of Public Health February 2007 issue, Hebrews in Israel categorize themselves as Secular 38% Partially Secular 21% Observant/Traditional 29% Religious 10% Orthodox 2% Because there are numerous biblical references to the Hebrew nation, the northern kingdom after the death of Solomon and at least one reference to Judea as “Israel”, many people assume that the modern political nation of Israel IS biblical Israel. There are several ways (methods) of interpreting Bible prophecy. Some of those ways ignore the following: It wasn’t until the 1950s that I encountered the teaching that the Christian church replaced the Hebrew people as the object of the Lord’s supreme regard. I rejected that doctrine immediately because I considered (and still do consider) the faith of Jesus to be the true CONTINUATION of the faith of Abraham, Isaac and Israel (aka Jacob). Ruth (the woman whose name is also the name of a book of the Bible) was born in Moab but I think of her as having been reborn as a descendant of the patriarch Israel (aka Jacob). .....and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God. - Hosea 2:23 By itself, the statement by John the baptist might not be conclusive but it’s included here because it’s the first such reference in the Gospels: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. - Matthew 3:9 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. - Matthew 8:10-12 .....For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. - Romans 9:6-8 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid.....God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.....And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? Romans 11:1, 2 & 17-14 I Peter 2:9 & 10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. - I Peter 2:9 & 10 If the above passages are taken literally, it is the Israel of faith - consisting of both Hebrews and non Hebrews - to which Paul was referring when he wrote, And so all Israel shall be saved:... - Romans 11:26 I’m neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet so please don’t consider this a “prediction” but I expect I’ll live to see a greater percentage of Hebrews than non-Hebrews come to have the faith of Abraham, Issac and Israel - faith in the true Messiah. All they need to do is to read and believe what is written in their own Hebrew Bibles instead of the commentaries of rabbis who have preferred to interpret the prophecies as anticipating a political messiah. Christians are in danger of making a similar mistake - of anticipating a political messiah instead of him who said, “My kingdom is not of this world”. The city of Jerusalem in the Middle East is an important city, historically and in other ways. We just need to be careful to not be so distracted by political events pertaining to the earthly Jerusalem as to fail to understand the significance of the heavenly Jerusalem aka the new Jerusalem.
