I can’t make the top perfect inline do I need to move the chain more?

When timing up, which line do you set it to on the bottom? The line by it’s self or the one joined by another line?

Bottom single line the other thing is for checking timing with a timing light its the spark firing range Before TDC , but always turn you engine over a few times by hand to make sure everything is ok.

does it matter what stroke the piston is on ?
