Intake 19mm exhaust 17mm, If I remember correctly.

Something happend to my wr, loud banging in the head of the engine like smashing with a hammer from the inside, was told it might be the timing belt but the final moments before it stopped I lost power and couldn’t do more than 20mph it was chugging along and was stuttering it sounded like a two stroke stuck in first gear, so much pressure built up in the engine that a pipe burst and coolant came out wasn’t sure if the oil and coolant had mixed somehow but I don’t know.

That's the first time I have heard of that happening to one of these engines. Did you get it figured out?

@@LegendsGarage ended up buying a rebuilt engine and selling the broken one to the people that I bought the engine off, thinking now the piston was making all the noise and for it going crazy I’m guessing it smashed something in the engine that built up a lot of pressure that caused the coolant hose to pop off, tbh tho I was riding around with this noisy engine for over 1000 miles I couldn’t be bothered to sort it so I just waited for it to go pop and it did.

Just wanted to add that the engine gave up at 20,600 miles i got it at 11,500, engine lasted just under 3 years for me but I did abuse the bike, i speed on every road it was just a toy for me but now I got the new engine I take it easy I don’t want any more engine problems because I plan on selling the bike next year.

Did you tried installing big bore kit. The aftermarket parts for this engine type is massive in asia

We are taking the big bore off and installing stock cylinder.

i didnt think that yamaha used a SOHC intead of a DOHC. i always tough honda was the only one that used a SOHC.

@@LegendsGarage susuki gsx125s, ktm 125 and the new cb125r is DOHC i think. also the kawi z125. but i dont drive a 125 anymore. moved on to A2
