Mitch, without a doubt, the best How To DIY video I have ever seen in my life. Your style is awesome, instead of wasting precious minutes in blah, blah, like some other people. The graphics are great and self-explanatory. I will be working on my scooter to regulate the idle, because it is embarrassing when I come to a stop and the rpms are just too loud and fast. thanks again. Keep doing it because I am going to learn all of your steps for the rest of the scooter. I also have a BMW C600, do you know how to work on that one?
Your videos are of amazing quality! Both video, content, framing, everything. Thanks for making these.

The tiny hose with the s tubing! I have owned my scooter for over 4 years and it wasn’t until now that realized I was routing it all wrong. I had my doubts every time I laid in between the air box and the cvt housing. Thanks, Mitch.
This is my next step. 2004 Vino 125, been sitting for well over a decade (has only about 500 miles on it, not even really broken in) and the gas tank is pretty crusty. I soaked some B12 in it, and tossed in some random nuts and washers for a good shake, and found that the tank itself is perfectly intact. Not rust, just old crusty varnish. It's still soakin', and I got it to start with some carb cleaner... for just a second... New fuel line, a carb clean, and the hard part will probably be getting the tank clean enough. I'll be running an inline filter as a precautionary measure.

Thanks Mitch, the yamaha manual cant come close to your great tutorial on how to get to this carby! I wanted to leave a tip for folks trying to PRIME the carb to get it to start easy after reasembly. With everything apart the auto cock petcock by the fuel tank has a hose coming out of the top - if you follow this it connects to the engine side manifold of the carb with a hose. Remove the hose from the side towards the engine and put a little vaccum on it - fuel should flow freely to the carb and fill the bowl. Cheers.
Nice to see you again

@@MitchsScooterStuff I wanted to put a pic in here of me holding the carb, but I don't know how. I got it out and cleaned it just like you did ,and now I'm waiting on my new gasket. Just have to get it all back together after that. Checked my auto petcock after learning about it online. It works well. I was afraid it might be gunked up after sitting, like the carb was. You should do a video about the petcock, I had trouble finding anything good. Thanks again.
Awesome videos, thank you,,I have two vino 125, anything that can be done for better performance 👍
Thank you, I'm very appreciated !
Hello Mitch. What a great video. I have a 2004 Vino 50 and was wondering if the same procedure applies. Do you know ? Do I have to get a different gasket ?
Very educational 😺
You're killin it bro. I'm a motorcycle/VW fella too. Can't wait to see the bus when you wrap it up. I hope you take it to Bug-O-Rama!!!, You better take to to Bug-O-Rama!. Hang loose...
Any chance you can do the same video but on a Gilera runner?
What about the heating element? Awesome video by the way.
Just leaving my thanks here as this video helped me get one of these scooters back on the road today. Does anyone know why the “S” hose would drip gas when routed this way? When I took the thing apart, the hose was laying horizontally from the left to the right side of the scooter, not sure if that would make a difference. Thanks!

Hey Mitch, thanks for doing these videos. Very helpful. Any idea where I could buy a new carburetor for a vino 125? I’m trying to help my college brother get back on the road. Thanks!
Good job, Mitch! Did it sit at all? Just got one that sat for 5 years and had lots of green gum. Got it cleaned out of the jets and it fired right up.
Hey Mitch, I need an auto choke for my vino 125. Do ou know where i can find one? Thanks, Aaron

Welcome!
Are there any aftermarket carburetors I can put on the Vino that will work
Nice...👍.
Mitch, where can I get those flush mount rear turn signals?
I think I have the vaccuum line mixed up. Is there a diagram that shows routing from petcock to carb?
4 stroke is so scary compared to 2 stroke. I dread cleaning the carb on my scooter. Looks at least like 5 things i can do wrong here. But great video. At least now i know.
I have a yamaha vino 50cc you got a video on that type of carburetor
what are the two wires that you plug into the carb at the 18:10 mark? my yellow wire broke off and now my scooter won’t start. i need to know if is is the problem or not. thank you.
Luv it

Mitch, I don't know if you answer specific questions, but thought I'd try. I'm brand new to scooters, but have worked on my motorcycles for a few years. I got a 2007 w/ only 1,600 miles, but the gas tank and carb had water sitting in them for a couple years. Engine was dry, though and oil was good. Got it cleaned up and running but . . . first, it starts and idles smooth and initially accelerates well, but it plateaus around 30MPH and inches up from there. Seems like a flat spot. The one system I did NOT get into was the drive system. Do you think that might be a carb issue or a drive issue? Secondly, I rebuilt the petcock with off-the-shelf o-ring (I could not find a rebuild kit), but it seems to be hanging - sometimes fuel will not flow at start/low-idle. Do you know of a good aftermarket petcock and/or how to mount a standard (non-vacuum) on/off? Thanks. BTW, I threw you a PP donation yesterday b/c these videos were pivotal in me getting it running at all. Thanks!!!
I think I have an older model that in this video. After I rock the back assembly out of the way to gain access, and after removing all the phillips screws around the perimeter, my panels don't simply life up and off like yours are here. Is there a difference going from year to year with how they are attached?
@MitchsScooterStuff
2 жыл бұрын
Hmm I am not sure, all Vino 125 should be the same, what year is yours? Mine is 2006
mitch just a hint: you can cut a paint brush hair until it's stiff to reach those vertical holes and then clean them. no need to soak it.

is this carb the same for a yamaha 1986 xc125 riva?
I cannot find this gasket anywhere except overseas. Is it discontinued and is there an alternative aftermarket one that is just as good?

Try Google “yamaha vino 125 oem parts”
My vino starts up with starter fluid revs up and then dies.. can’t get a idle on it carbs been completely cleaned and rebuild, anything helps
Great video but one crucial point needs to be added. Those are NOT #2 Phillips screws. They are JIS screws. You run a very serious risk of stripping screw heads on Japanese motorcycles if you use Phillips driver, rather than the correct JIS driver.
My pilot jet is stripped in there. I keep stalling out and want to buy a new carb, and idea where I could get one?
My 2007 vino runs but after it gets hot a lot of trouble to restart; any idea
Does ayone know where i can buy a new carb. I can not seem o find this one.
I cant get my scooter to running on for the life of me! If I keep the throttle down Itll stay on as soon as I let go it bogs out. Any help?
I have a 2005 Yamaha 125 Vino with 290 miles. It belongs to my step father in law of 92 years of age. It has been sitting up for several years. It had two bent valves which has been rebuilt by an Yamaha dealer. I replaced the spark plug, The engine will not go to a high throttle. I have cleaned the carb, twice. Max speed is 20 mph and will not climb up a hill. What can I do to revive it back to life?
I clean the carb and it start but very weak , then die if I throttle ... Is the fuel too lean ? How do i fix that ?
