Very Helpful - saved my life when I just installed my decat pipe. Thanks a lot man!
We are in the second nationwide lockdown in UK. I'm binge watching your videos. They should be called training videos. Best ever. Thanks.
A big heartfelt thank you from across the pond. Your video helped me a great deal when installing block off plates on my FZ-10 ... I mean MT-10...
I haven't started this install just yet, but I am so glad that I came across your video! My parts are on the way! I will post more later with a video perhaps.
Huge thank you from Canada, your video helped me alot installing my system. Cheers!
Brilliant! Just done mine!! Very helpful👏 Bike sounds amazing and thankfully not as loud as I was expecting 👍
great video, did mine in less than an hour thanks to this. only fitted decat pipe for the time being.
Great video Richie. Followed this to the second today when fitting my Leo Vince decat to my Akra end can. Nice and clear instructions. Video really helped. Thanks 👍
Amazing video. I’ve watched quite a few instal videos but none were as clear and detailed step but step as this. Thank you so much for this amazingly helpful Video. 👍👍
Cool stuff dude. Looking forward to seeing more
Very informative, thanks for sharing. That comfort seat looks nice, I just ordered one for mine!
Great video brother. You're my first subscribe. I like your very thorough instructions. Well Done!
great. great video richie. thank you for the instructions you film. they are a great help! regards, another MT-10 owner
Thanks a lot, followed all of your steps and fitted my dekat correctly.
One of the best instructional vids I’ve seen 👍
Sounds great! I'm about to throw the scorpion exhaust on mine :) It just arrived this morning
Hello, thank you for mt-10 upgrade video series. I'll buy mt-10 in next year, and apply your upgrades to my bike, especially r1 master cylinder upgrade.
The best ever decat video, thank you much
Great Series of videos on the MT-10 appreciate sharing! Looks and Sounds great!!
Very informative and well put together video! Thanks for uploading.
Nice video mate. Will come I handy when I'm fitting my Arrow Pro Race half system. I ended up getting that servo buddy too, should have some storage under the seat now haha
My friend I just did it!! Exactly how you did it very very thank you 😃😎😁
Thanks mate you save a lot of time for me
Good one Rich, The link pipe makes the bike run lean, hence the backfire. I think the last time we had a mag you were looking into a tune. Great video mate and that rear tyre looks like it's been ridden. cheers.
*in my best impression of your accent* G'day mate! Thanks for this incredibly helpful video. Much appreciate my brother.
Wow bro I love that sound good job brother
EXTREMELY HELPFUL MATE.
Good video. Now have the bike tuned. That crossplane sounds great
haha bet your neighbors love you.. good vid
Sounds and looks so good. 👍🏼
Thx for vids man great instructions
Best video ever Thank you so much
Ty for vid man gonna decat my mt10 with a r1 15 -21 link pipe follow by ecu flash
Hi great video, what was the cover/adaptef on the back pillion seat
Excellent video 👍🏾
Very detailed and clear instructions. Truly a great work. I am going to follow this for my FZ/MT 10 in few days. On a diff topic. Noticed the comfort seats in your bike. Does it make a lot of different for less than 4 hrs ride ?
Very detail. Thank you very much sir!!!!
verry nice video i learn a lot
Just so you know though when you de-cat the system will run around 15-16 to one which is very lean and lose around 5 HP. You then need to get a tune. Then your MT10 will unleash it's unbelievable full potential (+30-35 Hp) and a smooth throttle. (some are super choppy as they are lean from the factory)
GREAT VIDEO MATE
Great video! Worked perfect for me to install my M4 on the 2020 MT10. Thanks!

Great video thanks. Just to confirm did you re use the gaskets to get a good seal on the new link pipe ?
Hi Richie. Thank you for the great video! Did you run the link pipe for any length of time BEFORE getting the ECU flashed? If yes, did you run the bike at full throttle? I just got the link pipe but cannot get the ECU flashed until later next week. Would be fun to install and ride it this weekend. Thanks for the great vids!
Perfect video, just one question, did you connect both sensor back ? If so, why you remove the left one side completely? Thanks
Brilliant effort
very good video my bro
nice video, and very helpful. thanks a lot :)
Tres bonne explication merci a toi
Great sound.
G'day, what is the 3rd bolt half way up from the o2 sensors, cheers
Do you have to fully disconnect the left O2 sensor from the top connector?
Hey mate, What crash protection is that i see on the bike?
What is that other hole for on the link pipe. Not the o2 sensor, but you did not connect to anything.
Do you need to retune it after removing cat or no need
Well done video. The only thing lacking was the torque wrench
Hey just wondering what tire stickers those are ?
Do you know what dB this makes now? I like the occasional track day, the bike has to be noise tested before you’re allowed on track in the U.K. 😇
Great video. Made me want to just buy it and fit it myself. I am really interested in getting this fitted on my SP. I got the Akrapovic Slip-on already. But honestly, is it redicilously loud? Couse if it is I will reconsider it. I want more sound to it, but not all to much either. Thanks for the upload anyways, its great! 👊
Do you need to Dino tune the bike after this
Great Vid. Thanks man. New MT10 Owner and I have watched all your videos, used some as guides. Did you need to get it tuned after this? run into any issue with the bikes electronics? I would really like to do this mod to make the bike louder, but I am concerned about side effects.

Cheers Sean , A tune is highly recommended for the bike following the fitment of a link pipe. after all, you would have fitted it for either the sound of that gorgeous cross plane engine or to get more performance . if you follow my guide and remove only the cables for the ex-up valve and not the motor then it should be all ok . Your tuner will be able to disable it the ex-up motor while tuning. I'd also recommend doing the AIS plates before tuning .
This is a great vid Richie - Nice one. I have noticed on your vids you have a fluro Yellow yet this is a Tech Black. Did you swap out for a different colour?

Great video.
Hey Richie, is there much difference in sound between the R1 Akra and MT10 Akra.. cheers
great vid, thanks.
How can one dislike this video? Everything about the install vid was perfect! Keep the videos coming!
Great vid, nicely made. Would you do any sort of a re-map or dyno run? For me the bike is so powerful stock I would take alot of convincing to spend the cash on a link pipe and Akro for little or no provable power gains. Also as an older biker I get tinnatus from too many years riding loud bikes with no hearing protection.

Banditmanuk , thanks for your support mate 👍 Yeah following the link pipe fitment my mate did notice a little flat spot , from around 3k-4500 k rpm so tuning would be a big plus. Not to mention the back firing. Most places we called strongly suggested having a tune performed.
hey is the akra link pipe titanium?
Great video! really helped me out a lot, thank you very much. I fitted mine yesterday and I did not use the gaskets from the OEM cat, I noticed that although you mention that they should be used with the decat, you did not use them either. Am I correct with this? The Akro ends did not seem to be wide enough to fit the gaskets into them.

I have a few questions Did you install the other o2 sensor or did you somehow delete that? What do you need to delete it if you do? Did you need an ecu flash for this setup?
Hey, did you re flash the ecu after the exhaust upgrade to help with the inevitable lean misture that might be created?
quand tu démonte l'ECU et les sonde lambda ,le voyant panne moteur ne s'affiche pas ?
How much does the cat converter weigh
Thanks mate!!!
Good job.
Are you riding with just link pipe installed? Or will you be running a fuel controller slash reflash? Does the silencer bracket come with the link pipe??
I take it you're in Australia, is this legal? I want to get an MT-10 and do this to it, but i'm scared of it getting ticketed. I mean, my straight pipe, no baffle mt07 isn't legal... but it's not as noticeable as i feel this would be.
Hey mate, I’m thinking of getting the akra slip on and link pipe but am concerned about the noise, how do you like the noise ? Is it ok or does it piss you off ?
This is a few years later and I need to reinstall the catalytic converter on my bike, I have to do that because it's time for the first "inspection" by the Swedish "Motorvehicle inspection agency". Basically no way around it, the bike has to have the catalytic converter in order to pass the test. Unsure how active you still are with this channel but if possible could you answer me this: The wires for the ex-up valve motor needs to be re-installed, correct? In that case, how do I know which cable goes to with part of the valve? Great video for sure I understand why you have so many likes on it. Excellent info. :)

Hey mate , I still read the comments .. and try and answer what I can.. did u get ur bike flashed after installing the link pipe?
@legolator
3 жыл бұрын
@@RichieIsf Fantastic! Well I bought it second hand, and for all I know there was no flash done. There's no ex-up eliminator installed either, I was out in the garage the other day to check so that everything to restore the bike to original state came with the bike. From what I've read on fz10.org it might not actually be necessary as the valve stays open by default. But that's a new find since I asked my original question here. :)
@RichieIsf

If you install the cat to pass you inspection, just wire the valve half open so u can at least ride it …
Before pulling on the EXUP wires put cable pull lube on the exposed cable and it should pull out much easier. :) Also when removing bolts, screws have a label system as the where they came out of and belong. Great job, I thank you! :) (Do you ever use Hi-Temp gasket seal or anti seize on the exhaust fittings?)

Richies Bikes Thanks😅 did you do it?
What does this accomplish? Same for ais, and other parts? Trying to learn? And does not the ecu need to be remapped after removing all these parts? What if one just had the ecu remapped to remove restrictions without removing any of these parts? What makes the on off throttle response and throttle in general as smooth as possible? Just a remap or does one have to disconnect and or remove parts or replace parts?
@Cregtech

I have had the same questions in the past. I'm running a race can with the cat still fitted and a K&N air filter. I opted for a ECU flash to make the bike smoother and remove that jerky off throttle. Wow what a difference. For me its the best bang for buck mod you can make. Power gains aside it is still worth doing from the onset. I still have the EXUP and AIS fitted and working on mine but I have blanked off and removed the O2 sensors as they can try and correct the fueling of the new map. The EXUP is designed to provide more torque at lower revs and even out the power curve making it more linear according to Wikipedia and Yamaha. For me removing it just seems like a bad thing to do. As for the AIS I quite like the pops and bangs on deceleration so I'm keeping them in too.
Did you plug in the left side 02 sensor. Why did you have to unplug and remove it. Thanks.
@RichieIsf

Hey Vladimir, thanks for your reply. I unplugged the sensor as it was easier then twisting the wiring up which u will need to do for the right side . Right side connection plug is very short from main loom and not easy to get to.

Nice video mate! Is this by any chance the R1 end pipe fitted on the MT? If it isn't, do you know if it can be put on?
@RichieIsf
6 жыл бұрын
Hi mate , Many thanks for your kind words. Well spotted , this was a R1 style Akrapovic can, which can be fitted to either the Mt10 or R1. The difference being the R1 style has no end baffle in the can, but sure the flange is the same size. You may find the R1 link pipe angles the end can at a different angle.
@scoelliot15
6 жыл бұрын
No baffle sounds more attractive to me! Hahaha. Does it angle more inwards or outwards? Does it get in the way of any pices of the bike? Would it touch at full lean angle on a track? Excuse all my questions, I'm about to get an MT10 and prefer the shortened look of the R1 Akrapovic can!
@RichieIsf
6 жыл бұрын
scoelliot15 , Thanks for your questions, The end can I've found won't change the angle of the can, it's the Link pipe that will. I've read somewhere the R1 link shoots the can off at a different angle. No other bit on the bike should foul on the end can. The end can should clear at all lean angles, however it will rub should u lay it down on the track , but then so will the stock can. Hope your questions are answered
You have to reflash you CPU btw after this... Very important!
Hey! Does it need a remap? Thanks!

Tomas , short answer , yes it will to see the full benefit from the link pipe .
