Jazz is like an extreme form of openmindedness. Your mind/consciousness is so abnormally open that reality itself becomes less material and more fluid - similar to being on mushrooms. This kind of openness correlates with high creativity because a lot more novel ideas are floating into your field of consciousness. But your mind is so open that these ideas literally start to morph your material world. A coffee table could start talking to you and giving you novel ideas. The trade-off is that your mind is less buttoned-up, so it literally starts to feel like you're going insane.

Our minds filter out 90% of our world so we're not overwhelmed by too much stimuli or overloaded with sensory info. When we open those filters (by using shrooms for example) to let more of the universe in, we begin to see how much reality we've been missing and how limited people's mind can be. What if the fine line between genius & insanity means the truths are so "out there" that only someone open to crazy ideas can fully bridge the gap of scientific fact & the full potential of the mind thru psychedelics and/or arcane mysticism? It's not for everyone and a tough balancing act. Intelligence itself can be isolating, but creativity helps express & share internal constructs with others. You're right and we can create our own reality. Not just thru self-fulfilling prophecies but thru self-talk, words & word choice, learning/ re-learning, and art & music. There's so much info inside mushrooms alone that it's mind-blowing (in and of itself, but also) how much we learn about how little we know...like reading the card catalog at a library. Other's creativity can inspire us to create or think in novel ways and this music is the soundtrack to our life's trip. Enjoy your jazzy journey!!!

@@jojur2545 that’s a really cool field! I’d love to study that but I don’t know anybody who does it, in my family unfortunately nobody even has a hunting permit. So no long trips through the forest for me as a kid. I became a software engineer which suits me well, but after work and on the weekend I love to be in the forest. I ride Mountainbikes my whole life which gives me a great opportunity to see many forests all around the year :) I couldn’t study at all when this music is in the background haha. way to complicated to not listened to it for me brain. But I never ever studied with music in my life because music is somehow always infiltrating my brain and getting the attention it asks for.. Complex Jazz even more and with this kind of crossover it’s a whole new dimension to discover

@@supahfly_uk Thanks so much for the suggestion! Just picked up a Dirtywave m8 Tracker as a fun way to learn the original 90s workflow. I’ve figured out a lot of the small technical aspects and quirks of the dnb/jungle sub genre sound but learning things like composition and phrasing will take a lot of practice. Cheers!
