What is the L shape bracket for? The video doesnt show the use of it. Also the ebay link is not working.

This seamed like a great printer combo when I first got it. Then I found that the scanner didn't work and had to send it back XYZ for 5 weeks for repair. In the end they sent me a different unit that worked for a few days until the nozzle got jammed with filament and deformed during cleaning. I purchased this replacement a few days ago, installed it this afternoon (watch video in full before trying to follow along). My 20mm box quick test came out perfect so it is now working on a lithophane. This greatly increased the length of the nozzle. I had to lower the bed 5+ full turns and max out the Z offset to manually level the bed.

To manually level I made a bracket that clips onto the rails and a digital tire depth gauge fits into that, works better than anything I've used before.

I finally got around to fitting mine, physically measured the difference between the old and new and I came up with 12mm, fitted up with new z angle (+8mm difference). In the end I had to change my z offset +6mm to what it was otherwise it would hit the bed ( was at 1.31, now at 7.31), not sure exactly why but it works perfectly, new nozzle prints much nicer. thank you

Watching this video I realized that XYZ Printing could sell these parts as they are all simply "plug and play" items. I just replaced my heating rod ($2.50 on eBay) but had to cut, solder and reinstall the connector myself. I would have gladly paid $10.00 to XYZ if they had just sold me the damn part instead of trying to rip me off another $100.00 for a complete module. Totally ridiculous!

I've replaced my $100.oo+ part once already due to clogged nozzle. It would plug after 20-30 minutes of printing. I will NOT be buying another of their crappy $100.oo parts just to get a nozzle. I'm going to do this conversion to my printer! Thanks for a great video!

Where can I get this kit plz

Permatex brand (the original anti-sieze) does not smoke or stink. It's a genuine high temperature product.

Does anyone know if this works for the 1.0A? Looking to updgarde nozzles and this looks like it will fit the bill but I would like confirmation before pulling the trigger on this.

If this mod had a slot for the stock auto leveling pin this would be perfect and still get you all the functionality, but overall a great idea.

I can't find your kit on eBay. Can you please tell me where to buy it?

L'angle n'est pas un support mais il sert à situer le plateau en hauteur; En effet conre l'axe vertical, il y a un angle d'origine. Si celui-ci est plus court, il faut le changer car la tête est plus basse.... et hop

Hi, bought one of these from you last year, but the printer has been so good, I never changed it, today I decided to install it, and found a hole in the bag, and the nozzle has gone, can I buy a few 0.4mm spares from you, or could you tell me the thread size, as the spares i have for my delta do not fit, they are too small, thanks in advance - bob

You can buy the nozzles for around $1 each, like this BIQU Upgrade Wear Resistant MK10 Nozzles M7 0.4mm Threaded Stainless Steel No... www.amazon.com/dp/B01GG1F006/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_OrmTDbQ0QBDQM via @amazon Please make sure that the larger tube does not stick out longer than the nozzle, I added pictures to the listings. I found when the larger tube sticks out of the nozzle, the tube get squashed and causes jams.

Can you do a video on how to change the extruder head on the Da Vinci cartridge. I was able to take apart the cartridge but need to know what size nozzle to get.

I don't understand the request. XYZ uses .4mm holes on the nozzles.

Auto leveling is non existent after this mod i take it? Yea, i know... manual leveling is what most do with this printer... just asking.

We do now ship a screw that can be added for auto leveling. We made the screw a little shorter than the tip so you will have to use a metal shim between screw and the leveling pads. I assume must people just use manual leveling. Chris

The video ends before showing how to install the angle bracket. Not good.

Undo the screw, remove old bracket. Put on new bracket, reinstall screw. Done. Doesn't really need a walkthrough video.
