    Why is this not more well known? This is an awesome fix to this problem that is unfortunately not well known. I stumbled across this last night and couldn't even find it through a google search. I recommend adding more key words like "extruder mod" "feeder clicking" I am printing out the part now, and have the tap on the way. THANK YOU!!!

    This is probably the best mod so far for that faulty feed system of the Da Vinci Pro.

    If da Vinci is still selling the Pro, they should modify all the new ones, and send out a part like this to retrofit the old ones. Thanks so much for your excellent work.

    Interest, but I just lowered my extrusion rates down to 92 and 94, that got rid of all the grinding/clicking sound and taped a piece of cardboard under the top of the printer that stopped the banging noise from the Bowden tube hitting it as it moved around. Just another means to a end I guess. Happy printing!

    Great video, this problem has caused me no end of trouble. The problem I have right now is that my printer simply won't allow me to print anything anymore, and I am going to have to clean off a lot of epoxy from a failed attempt to fix this.! I am going to do something else for a while, and get back to fixing this when frustration levels have subsided. I wonder if anyone is willing to print off a few of these and mail them, obviously I would recompense the person for that. I'll have to look into how to do the tapping, as I have never done that. XYZ should definitely have done a better fix on this!

    i've found the zip tie is crucial for smooth operation. i also have 3 velcro ties along the curvature. also buy better teflon tubing. its cheap. and my biggest advice for this thing is BUILDTAK

    The zip tie was a poor afterthought to a design flaw and causes the binding issue. This mod eliminates the need for it.

    Can you do this for the Da Vinci Junior 1.0?

    Does anybody know what will make the print head go to the far front right and grid? I think it might be an "X" axis sensor gone bad. The only thing is you can not find the parts for these machines anywhere.

    Can you tell me what the threaded fitting is? Mine does not have extras of this. Having lots of issues with filament not moving through and have printed the mod, but want to make sure I get the right threaded fitting

    Thank you for taking the time to do this video. Any idea how the bowden tube should be? I have mobility issues and "trial and error" is frustrating. I will try your fix this weekend

    Could you just add the fitting and plug the Bowden tube directly into the new fitting bypassing the issue all together ?

  • @howtodostufff735

    @howtodostufff735

    Sure. The tubing may rub on the roof of the printer, but you could do it that way.

    The pneumatic fittings are designed to allow the tubing to swivel or twist in the fittings without damage. Where is it cutting the part?

    Would anyone be willing to make one of these for me and I will pay them for it? I don't have a TAP. Would like to do this to my printer. If anyone can link me to the correct TAP needed for this via Amazon or eBay that would also be great. Thank you!

    You will need to also tap the cartridge for this to work. Printing and tapping the part alone won't help. The tap is a M5 X 0.8. On Amazon Here: amzn.to/2kQZG6O You will also need a tap handle. On Amazon Here: amzn.to/2kBbU53 Good luck and Happy printing,

    I've added a design revision and G-code to the "thingiverse" item. Try downloading the gcode and printing from that.
