Xsens DROPS PRICE $4,000, but there's a catch? - Motion Capture suit ( Xsens Awinda Starter )
Комедия
UPDATE Xsens and I had a meeting, they explained a LOT! Watch my newer updated video: • Xsens FINALLY EXPLAINS...
Personally I'm not a fan of the apparent changes. [This video is not a paid promotion, and represents my own research/opinions]

I have spoke with Xsens, WATCH THIS VIDEO INSTEAD! kzread.info/dash/bejne/g595lduBk9inf6g.html
I can almost guarantee someone will setup a 3rd render Xsens service, where they take other people's recording and "process them" for $. Then Xsens will clamp down saying only use with suit that came with, but probably going to end in lawsuits
That yearly fee is what kept me from purchasing this suit, and it'll continue to do so. It's an affordable price for small-large studios but for freelancers/hobbyist who have experience hand-key animating, Rokoko and PN Studio is enough to keep our clients happy. Also, now their nifty HD Algorithm is being held hostage... A different business model would be recommended, I think they should cater to the masses now, specifically VR industry. Those gamers are itching for real-time full body mocap

Yeah, the annual subscription was the reason, why I decided to buy PN Studio instead.

@@mszczesnik I'm also interested in PN Studio, but can you tell how good it is near magnetic fields? I've seen people saying that it is bad and people that say it's good, can you please tell your opinion?

@@uzizizu So I haven't experienced any problems with magnetic interference. You can even turn off the magnetometer for the most challenging situations (like recording near a car, or in a car). Having said that - I've had a problem once, where my upper body was not aligned with my hips and the direction of the movement. So when I was walking straight, I was walking on a diagonal in the recording. But performing magnetic and "steady" calibration helped. My honest opinion is that if you plan to work on the animations (retarget them, do some cleanup) PN Studio is great. But if you want to use the animations "as they are" - you will not have super great results. But I guess it's common for all mocap solutions including optical ones (I just always add this disclaimer, because people tend to think that mocap animations are ready to use in games, film etc. without editing).

@@mszczesnik thank you for your answer! I aslo have additional question - have you checked your floors with magnetometer? (you can install app on your phone) Do do you have fields with 80u-150u in your floor and how suit behaves when it's near it for a long time?
Thank you for being honest on the pricing
There's always Noitom Perception Neuron Studio (and Pro). Studio version is really comparable to Xsens. You need to touch up the animations afterward, but it's the same with XSENS if you're say making animations for games.
After spending more than 4K I even cant export anything unless i paid more than 2k? really....:( wedding suit has value ,at least it serves one day.
and xsens costs TWICE as much in other countries from OFFICIAL distributors
How much have you spent on The Lost Wolves so far? Making these sort of motion capture animations seems really expensive.
its possible to only buy 1 month of Animate Software and pay less no?
it is very difficult to choose a product
can i get my motion of my xsens suite into unreal engine with just the motion cloud subscription ? or do in need the extra program blender for doing this ????

Yes but you'll have to do it manually.
If rokoko could sort out the magnetic influence on their suits, particularly with the foot-locking, they could run xsens out of town.
I mean honestly you would nearly be better off just taking out a loan on a camera setup for what they are asking....because I seriously doubt that the output will match the cost.
i would like a complete motion capture suite with headset like they used in the movie planet of the apes and in ninja turtles . My question is how do i capture my facial expressions if the suite doesn't comes with a headset . Do you have to buy the headset seperately ?

Look up Reallusion iclone with xsens plug-in and iPhone x liveface
So if I only buy the gloves then I still need to pay that monthly fee? The gloves wont work without it or how does it work ? Im thinking of using it with unreal engine.

Manus glvoes I dont think have any subscription
but do i need only the suit or do i need to buy a software as well
@BryantFilms

Software is $350 a month currently
why do you need to pay for the motion cloud subscription if you cannot export anything ?
@BryantFilms

I believe it's 350$ USD a month currently. You may export stuff once you pay for that
Not sure if you can help but I'm trying to start a KZread channel, being a Vtuber. I dont like the overly anime style some people use with steam apps or vseeface and such. Wanting closer to Codemiko's style using unreal engine. Do I really even need a bodysuit? Or do you have suggestions to point me in a good direction?

I think for VTubing, rokoko would be a better choice considering it could get the job done. And it has free software and face stuff and finger mocap on the side (different purchase), so ya for that rokoko would be best. If you have the extra money, I'd go with xsens
THAT IS CALLED GOUGING BECAUSE THERE IS LOW COMPETITION. GO ROKOKO!
HORRIBLE BUSINESS MODEL. HARD PASS.
+1
This is a bad change
60hz is 30fps.
