They never gave an answer - I am assuming it's a no - based on how their system and dongle usb license pinging server works.

I know this vid is really old but im having a really weird problem Whenever I try to redefine rest pose it works kinda normally but when I hit cancel or apply it sends my character model (not the animation) to the left rotated at 90 degrees. When I got the characters in pose so they were both facing the same way (Without redefining the rest pose the first time) it does the exact same thing Can anyone please help??

I dont have any means of recording motion data yet, so I'm trying to use BVH files from the web as a practise before investing into anything. But all of the BVH-files have this massive "Joint_Root" bone, any idea what I'm supposed to do with that? Just ignoring it and not linking it to any target bones messes it all up and creates a twisted monster. Turns out the .FBX export way probably doesn't work the way I thought it would with SFM. Instead, just reposition the model in SFM, then export it as a .DMX. I would reposition the .dmx model in the same default 1st frame of the motion capture file, and export it into blender so that way you don't even need to move any bones and just hit "Apply" for redefine source rest pose! 21:42 for help Watch PART 2 for additional help. You don't need internet. The wifi router us intended to be used without internet. A dedicated wifi connection just for your suit and laptop is what you need if you have other traffic riñunning through your wifi, your gonna have a bad time.

Thanks for the advice. I'm just looking for a suit for a low price + good quality. Overall, the video made me think... Before that, I was confident in Rococo, but now I'm thinking. In my first job, I worked with Avinda and it was... well... challenged. Of course, after working with an optical mocap, you look at Rokoko or Xsens like "Toys". But the price, of course, is also not for "Toys" there XD. Therefore, for personal use, it doesn’t even sound bad you know. Thanks a lot man! P.S I realy like your videos! Great works mate! But you clearly lack the skills to mocap clean. I have been doing this for 5 years in an outsourcing studio, so if you suddenly need help or some advice, I will be happy to help you figure it out, just like you helped me right now.

I mean honestly you would nearly be better off just taking out a loan on a camera setup for what they are asking....because I seriously doubt that the output will match the cost.

Hi. I could really use some help. I am able to do everything up to adding the animation back into Source Filmmaker. Not sure what I can do to get it back in because as soon as I hit import animation it crashes within 15 seconds. Any advice would be wonderful. Thank you.
Not sure why it'd be doing that, but I'd reinstall SFM and make sure the proccess is being correctly as show. You may want to watch Part 2 for further context of this video
