For those of you wondering if The Killing Of Georgie was a real story after Rick and Steve’s libellous comments on the song, I hate to say it is a true story. Here is how Rod Stewart explained the songs backstory in a magazine named ‘Mojo’ “That was a true story about a gay friend of The Faces. He was especially close to me and Mac. But he was knifed or shot, I can't remember which. That was a song I wrote totally on me own over the chord of open E.” Mac in Rod’s story, is referring to Ian McLagan, another singer-songwriter in the same Rock ‘n’ Roll genre as Rod. Hope this comment was helpful to those of you as curios as me over the songs origin.
42:59 ''Query and question it. That is what has made Ricky Gervais one of the premier thinkers of this country. He will not accept anything on face value. He queries everything. ''Anastacia. She looks glamorous and twen..wait a minute. Those glasses. What do they suggest? --> Actually she's forty. --> I'm not gonna buy her records.'' One of Steve's most genius moments.
