Man Moth

Man Moth

The Ricky Gervais Show XFM archive. I'm adding proper transcripts to the subtitles, It's taking ages but we'll have a proper archive once it's done. I'm adding full track listings and links to the tracks too.

If you're feeling flush and you'd like to buy Man Moth a Twix, you can do so here: www.buymeacoffee.com/manmoth or head over to www.man-moth.com/ where I've made a load of rubbish that's now for sale.

I feel like Karl is very different in these than in the Ricky Gervais show. This feels like his true self and maybe on RGS it’s a slightly exaggerated character. People swear that’s actually how he is but I’m not so sure

The impressions kill me xD 1 of the best episodes imho. Hearing about their early gigs and overall, a cheery day. Tights and cigars for everyone! PS - I bet lighthouse keepers get knackered from walking up the steps to turn the light on.

Does Karl think, that cats or dogs or whatever, drink from saucers, because they like it, so a dog child would stand up, fill a saucer with milk, and sit at the table or on the ground, or does he think that they must drink from a saucer because the aritocats did, and the dog childs parents do it because they are a dog and cant do it themselves? As if its genetic that humans only use cups. My cats use cups

You know where that comes from, right in the olden days, and im talkin ages ago, right when you really loved something as a sign of respect, like say a radio show, you'd count your feet, and thats where that comes from Karl. 41:20

Heard all the rare interstitials on spotify, heard the rare moments tapes, series 0, covid podcasts, Steves bbc stuff, the steve show, Steve on 6Music, the Simon n Nick tapes from Edinburgh fest, all of it. everything. Can anyone recommend anything rare i may not have Listened to???

Karl didnt think using a pole as leverage as a tourniquet to spread pressure equally, is not useful. But that if you throw bricks out of a shopping cart, you move thw other way, he was glad to know.

Whenever I listen to this episode, I almost wish I could retroactively email in to explain to Karl just how horrendous tonsillitis is. Steve doesn’t stand up for himself enough here. People think it’s just a “sore throat” which just doesn’t encompass how absolutely miserable it is. My chronic-tonsillitis PTSD has been triggered

Ricky's comment at 15:08 about Jordan was something I always thought as a teenager. Jordan was one of the few Middle Eastern countries I remembered as a kid, and a model having such a name (I didn't know the term "stagename"), always struck me as weird.
