Karl forever, but I love these Series 0 episodes and the Claire and Camfield episodes. These are so great. Smerch and Gervais are literally at it each other's throats, no hold's barred. Pretty fantastic, considering Steve must have been, what, 22-23? at the time, with Ricky being middle aged. What great chemistry.

Having listened to all the series again and again, I can't believe I've somehow not heard this "series zero". The calls to Ricky's mum are especially delightful! :)... As much of a tin-pot radio station as it was with Karl pushing the buttons, my God- the sound levels were just TERRIBLE in this first series. Haha. :)

I've never heard series 0 before. As much as I love Karl, I feel like Steve and Ricky are in their element here. They're not relying on Karl's inane comments, their having to do the work. It's such a shame that they don't work with each other now.

This series is by FAR my favourite, pretty much entirely due to Karl's absence. Years ago, Karl was a novelty, but nowadays, I just find myself hating the fact that the later shows revolve purely around him and his idiotic mumblings.

Jesus, I was laughing and cringing in equal measure (a lot!) at their premise for Waddington's new board game 'Tip the Balance! The description of the box cover showing the whole family had me creased!

That part was a bit surreal to hear but tbf there's many cases of hypocrisy on Ricky or Steve's end or times where they surely understand Karl's point yet choose to act dumb to wring the comedy out of it.

Ricky surrounds himself with ‘friends’ who are what he thinks are freaks. Steve’s eyes, Karl’s round head, and later they reference other friends with tiny hands and other physically interesting things. And he gives Warwick Davis a lot of roles too.

I never listen to radio let alone radio from over 20 years ago.
