Hey Christian, just wanted to let you know I've been wrapping my 2009 f150 at home. I'm using Avery Gloss Black. I've done a tailgate strip, the rocker panels, hood spikes (curves of my scoops) and the rear bumper. I've also done my brother's roof on his mustang. Long story short, I couldn't have done it without you. I watched 10s of your videos before doing it. The Avery is very easy to work with, as you've said. Thanks again

I so wish I lived in Canada, and could actually afford to be trained by you in person. I'm 45 and always love learning new things. Your KZread page became a page where I watch your videos at least once a day, and I've wrapped quite a few areas of my Accord. It's not perfect which is highly annoying to me because I'm a bit OCD about details, but without any training I've done a pretty good job just by watching your videos. Thank you so much for your channel and videos, your work and the way you teach is amazing.

Thanks for the insight Chris. I've been watching your videos lately and decided I will use my 2001 Renault Thalia as a practice car, because it already has lots of surface defects and needs some care on the outside. I will also try to do the inside (dashboard mainly), but I will need to see how the foil will go down on a non-smooth surface first. Keep up inspiring people, you definitely got me :)

Ive done a couple side mirrors using your guidance and they can out good. I was told (by inoztek video) that iso alcohol should not be used because it will dry the film. Is this true for all wraps? Ill be doing my first overall as soon as I decide a brand (leaning with vivvid since ive used it before). Thanks for the vids. Subbed.

If you’ve never wrapped anything before I’d definitely say practice on different things before attempting a full vehicle. Even after wrapping a few parts for my car and watching a shed load of videos I’ve learned a lot but I still wouldn’t jump into wrapping a full vehicle. Be patient and learn before you try it or expect to get frustrated quickly and wasting money on wrap.

The first thing I wrapped was my r6 and even though it was a challenge and required effort, it was worth the challenge. Now my bike is a gloss canary yellow and I’m about to change it to something else. Only advice I would give is try to make sure you have nothing planned for that day if you’re trying to do the whole bike in one shot lol. The worst thing that can happen is that it doesn’t come out as nice as you want but by that point you’ll figure out your weaknesses, do some research on how to fix those weaknesses and you can give it another shot.

After spending 3 days wrapping a hood and spoiler first time (and raging many times with wrinkles) I want to design some sort of rail system to hold vinyl clamped to posts above the surface to wrap. So then I can glass surface without the rest of the vinyl bunching up laying across that will have to be pulled up. I had a incredibly difficult time trying to work wrinkles on the removed curved spoiler that also angled 3 directions on the ends/bottom. And that's with 2 inlays on bottom. I had to make relief cuts like every inch on the corners to heat stretch tuck the vinyl in. I have some speaker stands on tripods maybe I'll modify with metal plates and spring clamps next time. Also that wrapcut pro cut-tape does suck for curves. Its useless and wont stick on mildest of angles. Wont buy it ever again

Christian for clarification there is no difference whatsoever. They are the same chemical. Unfortunately there are many different naming conventions, this does lead to some confusion. So look for the two commonly used names Isopropanol Alcohol 70% or Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol 70% are both the same used for cleaning hope this helps. Some shady people add acetone claming it's Isopropyl Alcohol as acetone is cheaper was really bad during the Covid outbreak.
