The BEST How To Vinyl Wrap Video EVER!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This is one of my best and most detailed how to vinyl wrap videos. This Ford F-150 paint job was in pretty bad shape. There are a lot of deep scratches on the tailgate and throughout the truck. In this video I will show you how to install a vinyl wrap without using tension. I'll also show you how to wrap around the emblem, tuck the vinyl in, emboss the lettering and what the wrap looks like after wrapping over the stone chips and deep scratches. No bodywork was done before the wrap.

My first thoughts exactly. He has to have watched bob as a little kid? Maybe it’s just an instinctive cadence? I keep waiting for “happy little pre tuck lines” or “nasty old glue lines but that’s all right” “we’ve got our handy air release tool for that!”
Man your like the Bob Ross of wrapping cars. I could watch and listen to you all day. You’ve got some serious skills, God given talent. Keep it up brother!
Bro, i could probably spend a solid Friday evening watching through a course on repairing socks or something with how rad you are as a host / instructor. It's always cool when someone is not only skilled in their craft but also has passion for it and not to mention knows how to communicate it in laymans terms. Super interesting stuff and god damn it - entartaining too. Mucho props.

Christian, youre such a valuable asset to the wrap game. What you do for the Wrap community is invaluable. You've helped people start from scratch, all the way up to experienced wrappers being able to better their techniques and workflow. Not to mention your teaching skills are top notch, highly intuitive, very easy to understand, and you're just one hell of a nice guy. Thank You for being you, Man. Much love.
Very helpful video. I'm preparing to do my first wrap, but have been painting for years, and thought I'd add some painter tricks, because I haven't seen them mentioned in any wrap video. 1) Keep your work area clean, and wash your vehicle well BEFORE bringing it into the work area. 2)Wear clean, lint free clothes. You don't want your body to be a lint carrier. 3)Clean your tools before starting, so there isn't left over debris like trim pieces stuck to them. 4) Before applying, we use tack rags to wipe the surface (before painting). This picks up the small particles that could be left from the alcohol wipe. 4) If blowing off with compressed air, make sure you have a good filter on the compressor, or you'll get moisture coming out.

I’m a newbie . As a pro auto painter , what are the benefits of wrapping as opposed to just painting ? I KNOW that the prep is the main answer , but even a really good wrap job only lasts around 5 years , yes ? Curious .

@@lisacolbert5987easier to change colors, don't have to repaint because of some chips it either bounces off or worst case you re wrap a single panel vs all the time/$$$ to repaint.
I can watch this dude just as intently as any artist immersed in their craft. I have to mention that this has to be the Bob Ross of vinyl wrapping. His metallic flat black is like bobs vandyke brown, his squeegee liken to bobs paint knife, You can’t convince me otherwise.
Dude! You’re ability to work and be so descriptive about your movements is unreal! You make it look too easy! Thank you!
Now the prices quoted to me make a lot more sense. This actually requires skill. Great job man.
So nice to see guys like you that are genuine, talented, with the bonus of promoting a positive/strong work ethic too. Kudos to you!
HI brother. Thank you very much for your help. I am actually greeting you from Chile 🇨🇱, I am starting my own painting and wrapping company. And these tutorials are making my life way easier. So Thank you 😊
Awesome use of your hand fulcrum to steady your hands for your cut lines. Thank you for your tutorials... learning so much!!!
DAYUM....a 1 Hour plus video. Thanks! RAW and UNCUT!
You're so good at this. Probably the best ive seen
Best how-to video I have ever seen. You make it look simple. Top notch training video! Thanks for sharing your expert knowledge.!
I can’t wait to start my first wrap soon.. and I am so thankful for your videos a tips before I made so many mistakes myself. Thank you, and keep doing what you do!
You really are the master. I hope guys watching this are inspired by your care for your customer. You're instilling a work ethic in the next line of people coming up in this game to take pride in the details and pride in knowing that the customer might not ever see that little corner, but if they do, they won't be disappointed in your work.
Just want to say thankyou. Your absolutely very patient and explain the process wonderfully. Great personality also. Thax.
Thank you for the super in-depth video, it's very helpful for a novice that's still a bit intimidated by vinyl
This is therapeutic to watch, absolutely love it 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for your videos!! I've watched about an hour a day of your videos for almost 2 months! Doing my first wrap in a week. Also signed up on your site. Huge help!

how'd the wrap go?
I've been working with vinyl for years now and have a small vinyl graphics business but have never done a full wrap. Learning a lot from you. Thank you for what you do. Seriously. You are very good at what you do.
You are the GOAT of vinyl wrapping.
Thank you for these videos on your page, absolutely clear voice, great quality. Very detailed. Good work :)
Hi Christian, Ive pretty much watched all your videos and you have been so so helpful in teaching me how to learn to wrap. I've been restoring and painting cars for over 30 years and you have given me a new direction to go. You have to be commended on your skills, to be able to carry out a wrap and spend the time teaching it out at the same time is a special gift especially when you put it in such an easy language that the layman can understand. Please keep them going (specially about corners I keep getting them wrong} your tutoring is priceless and your time is certainly not wasted doing it. Thank you.
Me and my boy are starting a wrapping co in AK.....much love to you brody, youre videos help out tremendously. God bless.
Keep relaxed…relaxed…relaxed.
Man, this is an incredible video. I've been watching videos on wrapping for like a week and I'm starting to think I can actually do this. I have a tacoma and z4 that could use it for protection and an old fading Honda fit.
I’m taking a 10-Saturday course on wrapping and been sharing your videos with the other students. Just wanted to thank you for the putting in the work and time on these videos. The work ethic is unmatched and definitely doesn’t go unnoticed. Cheers from Baltimore 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Detailed narration of a super detailed process. You're always advocating for doing it 'right', and that is what makes the results awesome. Truly awesome work. 🙏🤘
It's clear you have done this many times. Thanks for the advice.
This guy makes it look so easy. respect
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for.
I like this method a lot better than what I was taught. I was shown to pull glass, work the recesses then the rest. The problem with that is sometimes you will get those bubbles and hard creases in the middle which causes you to pull half of the vinyl back up to get them out. Letting it float and working your way down looks so much better and easier to do.
You are truly a master technician with vinyl wrap! Your precise description of technique shows your incredible knowledge of technique and experience! Thank you for sharing that experience with us and showing how to do perfection! Wow!
Thank you for sharing your professional skill and craft.
This is amazing. I wondered how it was done. Very informative video!
👍 Your thought-by-though communication is awesome. Excellent tutorial.
Omg you should see my work truck. When you say some ‘bad scratches’ and ‘indentation’ I can hardly notice after seeing my truck every day 😅❤ I watch thes vids amd consider wrapping my 94 Chevy pick up.. probably just a pipe dream 😊
This guy is a beast! Great work!
i watched this video so *relaxed as possible*, Gracias Gringo 👌🏼😎
A man with a very creative mind. enough said .
I'd love to see more videos on things like inlays. How to know when you should use them, etc. Up close and personal on how they overlap, etc... Also, another door jamb video would be dope! Love your work dude!

Thank you for putting in the effort to make this video and the way you explain your process !
Very very interesting video. Watched whole video without skipping.
Hands down the best
Bro AWSOME job 👏
SICK! What a job 👌🏼
I grew up in my family's custom street rod shop. Spent 15 years doing custom auto body/fabrication. In 1999 i bought a Roland sticka 15" vinyl cutter and began experimenting. I personally wrap like i paint and remove all emblems, trim, and body panels and wrap in my downdraft paint booth and never leave open edges. For me, the time spent de and re assembling is mostly offset by ease of wrapping. The heat lights in my booth gently and evenly bring the panels and vinyl up to temp without creating hotspots like heatguns do.
Professional teacher 🤘🏻🦾🦾
great video and instruction.. looks gratifying ! looking forward to doing my 87 Montero!

Well that makes painting look easy.
It's a real good demo. Ive learnt a lot.
I love your videos man, I discovered you about a month ago and I’ve been watching about 2-4 videos everyday, you’ve really taught me a lot I appreciate you
Great video. I'm thinking of trying to wrap my own car, after I watch a # of different videos. You did a great job of explaining how to do that tailgate. I'll have to see how much it'll cost me to buy the film. But Thanks for the video. 🔥🔥🔥👍🏼👍🏼
Making this look so easy!
Great job I love wraps I want that color
always a pleasure
Amazing work!
This is exactly what I was thinking of doing with my black Ford F150.
Just came across your vids in my planning to changed up the silver interior trim on my 20 f150. I have a few other ideas now as well. Thank you for all the learning I've been doing. You do a great job.
For a DIYer that wants to wrap small projects like door handles, badges, etc what brand film/s would you recommend? Also i appreciate the time to detail you shown us. Exceptional work and craftsmanship 👍
Thanks for the video. I am almost ready to pull the trigger and try this myself. Maybe I will offer the neighbor kid a chance at my first wrap before tackling the Alfa Romeo.
Very informative, looks great... thanks
Coming back to see this
Grade A+ content, thanks for sharing your hard earnt knowledge.
Gosh you make me want to start wrapping cars!!!
Great teaching!
Thanks for sharing this video. The ongoing explanation and activity creates such wonderful clarity on the process.
This guy is GOOD!
This video lives up to its title!
What a great craftsman!
Howdy. Thanks for that video. I was hoping you showed us how the left and right edge looked. I saw you make the cut with a little extra, but didn't see how much it wrapped around to the back side of the edge.
You are the best Fr Fr
I did one of these tailgates this morning. But it was a solvent commercial print. Kinda goopy. I started just below the Ford emblem. Everything fed in. No tension. Also when working the F150 indent, sometimes instead of a wrap glove you can wipe your thumb on your nose or forehead and get some grease for better feel and a decent slide.
Super nice work wow 👏 👌 👍
Excellent instructor. You never stop explaining, if you're moving you're talking and pointing out even the smallest detail.
Thanks this video and your amazing performance
Awesomeness CK Boss 💖👑🙌
Bad ass video. Boss u are a real chingon 💯
i want to wrap around my tail lights and head lights. First gen Raptor, If all goes well I will do my wife's 2005 Tahoe. Its mostly flat, thanks for doing some accents in the future. Thanks Art
This is the best technique I seen jet thank you for doing this video.@@
Nicely done! I don’t know about Ford, but GM and Dodge truck tailgates can be easily removed. If I wrap my truck, then I might take the tailgate off, put it on sawhorses to work it all the way around the bottom edge. Of course, there might be value to the tailgate being rigid and not moving,
Awesome video

great video bud, tip for plastics QUIXX scratch remover for plastics, i just did my Yamaha R1 fairings and glass with it, amazing, truly amazing.
Nice video. Can you show how the door jams are finished. Type of blade you use. TY
I just bought an old civic because gas is outrageous and the paint it hideous! Quotes were crazy for wraps. Im about to do it myself this weekend now 🤘 THANK YOU
I doubt I'll ever be able to afford a wrap on my car, but if I could I wouldn't want it done by anyone other than you. Your explanation, knowledge, and attention to detail are incredible.
Hi Chris, When you were pushing in around where the handle will go, would it have helped to do a couple relief cuts in the corner areas where you said you were stretching aggressively? Or is the area small enough for it to not make a difference? I'm super new to wrapping and watching a lot of your content.
