Our Thai daughter received more and better education from me than the Thai public school in Udon Thani. So at the age of 11 We , my wife and I brought her to Australia to complete her education. Next year we will return to Thailand but now our daughter is 21 she has decided to stay in Australia. Best of luck with your daughters.

Hi Ricky, If you are lazy you buy, if you are smart you build :-) I belive in your area it is cheaper to build then up here in Chiang Mai. When you build you get it exactly what you want, and you save money. The trick is to find a good builder. We are adding a new bathroom at the moment and we will come in at around 150-200k bath depending of what materials we choose. Good luck to you and you great daughters!

Gday Ricky.. hope all is well mate.. it’s pretty much the same here in surin, i just moved to a street very similar to the that one with the new houses, except it’s a dead end.. there is one 2 story house in the street that just came up for sale, very nice new home, i think it’s 4 or 5 bedrooms but it’s basically just the house, it’s fenced in pretty tight.. they want 1.5 million for it also… just rode to chong chom and back today.. its so nice and lush and green down there.. looks amazing ✌️

Have fun in Phetchaburi and Cha-am. That's actually where I spend most of my time in Thailand, in the Phetchaburi area. That's where the wife's family is from and where the wife grew up. Eventually we will build our home there in the next couple of years, once I retire full time. Anyway, have fun and enjoy.

Cha-am is a great place, we purchased some land there 10 years ago 3 Rai for 800,000 baht per Rai, now it is worth over 7 million baht per Rai, but we have a 7 bedroom 5 bathroom house landscaping and a huge pool, we just knocked back 55 million baht for it. We are happy here have be3n married to my Thai wife for 35 years , first came here in 1979 as a young 16 year old, have had a ball being here.

We have been married for 19 years now. Maybe when I get back to Petburi full time we can meet up for lunch and a chat.

how ever the big issue in thailand is always the way of owning witout depending on someone - and this will always be there! the other is that I pesonally want to have a stabel situation about work about life about everything and so on myself I think I would keep renting mostly becouse I would like to prefer to live in the city and not outside in a rice village

Great video mate. Yeah, most land purchases are word of mouth, like if your Thai family or their friends know someone selling a plot. Buy land that’s elevated if you can. 10 metres or more can make all the difference. That elevated road in the first section is ideal. Quite often a farmer will sell a corner nearest the road if the offer is good. You just need to know people who know local people if that makes sense.

yeah It's a DJI mic I have the same and yes very good for less wind noice once you put its fluffy muff on it but only upto about 40 - 50 kph after that the wind comes thru it

My sentiment’s about trusting your Thai misses? Do people say that about their western partners, because the way I look at it, if my misses and I split up, then if I lose a house, which is effectively the cost of Subaru Impreza in Oz then so be it. I’d lose a lot more in Oz if we split up.

@@rickyisaan keeping this in mind build something modest, comfortable to live in. Can you buy land in your daughter's names? No need to spend 200K for a bathroom. As you know bathrooms in Thailand are simple. And being a wet area it doesn't matter if things get wet. Unless of course you want to recreate a western home in Thailand which I suspect is happening.

Thailand is one of the worse places to invest in property. Even if you rent for 20 years, you still wouldn't spend £50k in rent. Depending on what the rent is of course. But each to their own. I feel it's better to put something in a business or you can pay for the schooling fees with that.

But it's never an investment to sell. It's an investment to live in. My current renting price would take 13 years to be about 1m baht. Like I said in the video, it's all ideas in the future not now

I’m the complete opposite. I would love to live in the country, but there’s just no way I can manage. I’m a city boy. I am building a modest little home for the in-laws ฿2 million. I’m never going to live there, but since god has been very fortunate to me successful in life I feel grateful I’m able to change some lives🙏

G'day Ricky, the worst thing for mental health is a high carb and sugar diet. Carbs are turned into sugar by your liver, and sugar overload causes inflammation especially in your brain.
