This mini crawler really surprised me for it's price, but it's really amazing by the looks and the power inside of it!👍

trx4m unmodified would probably do okay on the easier to harder obstacles cuz it’s bigger simply but the modified ones would blow it out the water on the steep climbs and sidelsopes. modified tho the trx4m is a beast and could keep up but definitely would be as much as the comp crawler the traxxas parts are not cheap sadly

The TRX4M absolutely walks round the course, only thing it wouldn’t do is the side hill challenge but it goes up the steps easy too…that said it’s bigger than the 24’s being 18th scale so not really fair!

The scx24 gladiator also performs very well, wish kev had one to test, all I had to do was move the shocks and it climbs like a beast

Glad you pointed out the cost comparison off the bat 👍. The Furitek is great base to build off off vs buying stock and spending more for a bunch of stuff that will just end up in the spares bin

Some mini crawlers benefit from taking the springs of the shocks. It gives them more articulation and lower cg

i got a trx4m for christmas and i love it! 😃 me and my dad have been making tracks and it handles very well

Try using Spray Glue on the treads of the tyres on Rock Crawlers and leave to dry properly for 2 - 3 days and you will get a softer layer of rubber when it's dried properly, helps alot 👍.

I love those Treal wheels. I have a set on my TRX-4M with Injora T1005 S3 tires and it's awesome.

I like it. After spending over 1k in mini Crawlers now, they offer 1 rtr that has almost everything you'd want lol

Seems like that is a good option for someone who wants to get something really nice to start. SCX24 is better for people who want to personally customize their truck to different degrees on varying budgets.

Do the incline with the upgraded SCX24 with the stock tires and see how it compares to the stock SCX24. Those tires are bigger which affects the center of gravity as you said, the weight is up high

Love crawler life best part for me was the rear steer one i made one for a event here where rear steering wasn't allowed lesson learned read the rules before spending too much money more crawler videos would be nice kev. hagd man thanks for the video.

10:35 lol @ the cat of doom! I have a CR24 and tied a string to the back and the cat chased it all over my shop. Only problem is not enough grip so when it got a hold of the string, I was stuck. So then I got one of those 1/24 hoonitrucks and he chases that thing everywhere....

Have you thought about building an actual rock crawler? You could even make it RC… and electric for that matter. Just an idea for more content. We love the videos Kev!

Your built scx24 really only needs the shock springs removed or shortened imo to be top mini dog in the shop.

Here's a challenge for you Kevvie: make a crawler with variable height shocks and springs so you can raise it up to get it over obstacles but lower it for better hill and side climbing!!!

The Treal portal axles you spec’d for the SCX24 were machined aluminum units, are the stock Furitek axles aluminum? Also can’t you add portal boxes to the stock SCX24 axles for a lot less?
