JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA - Welcome to Jeddah and today we’re going on a food tour, where the main event is going to be a whole lamb roasted for 5 hours over fire, basted with its own oil, and then eaten with honey. An absolutely incredible lamb experience in Saudi Arabia!
Thank you to Hisham: / @misho_baeshen for taking me around eating in Jeddah!
To begin the day, there’s nothing better to eat than ful, mashed fava beans, but at this breakfast restaurant in Jeddah they specialize in smoked ful, when some ghee is burned on an onion to give the ful a lovely smokiness.
We then headed to a nice restaurant to try traditional Jeddah style breakfast, a meal that would typically be eaten on special occasions. The variety and color were beautiful!
Hareed Restaurant: goo.gl/maps/kAYm2siEUrHvwnDZ6 - Finally on to lunch and the full lamb meal experience. Chef cooked the lamb for 4 - 5 hours over a wood fire, continually rotating it and basting it in lamb oil. It’s the most golden crispy lamb I’ve ever had and eaten dipped into honey. We also tried quite a few other lamb dishes, all the lamb coming from their own farm!
Later in the evening we tried a nostalgic fries stall with all sorts of different sauce that you put on, and my personal favorite - chickpeas!
It was a great day of food and exploring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia!
Hisham: / @misho_baeshen
Thank you to Visit Saudi Arabia for arranging my food trip to Saudi Arabia!

WOW! I WANNA VISIT THE KINGDOM!...Years ago I drove limo in l.a. and was honored to drive a Prince from Saudi. In the evening the chauffeurs and bodyguards were invited into the Royal mansion and there was a lavish buffet of THE MOST DELICIOUS FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN! Saudis are very warm, friendly, generous and most of all hospitable people!

@@AhmadM25 Because I'm a sailor I'm proud to say that I have visited many countries some of them being Qatar, Saudi Turkey, and Yemen...I have discovered that Saudi is a melting pot of cultures. You can find different types of food from different countries also it's typical in the middle east to find the same food in many countries and each adds their own take to the meal. But have to admit in Saudi they make it taste ten times better with better hygiene. For example Foul, it's famous in Egypt & they made it delicious there, I eat the best foul in Egypt, but the foul in Saudi is different with another take on it. Also, eggs with tomato are famous in Turkey, but in Saudis, they have another recipe and it's delicious. I have failed to find any original indonesian meal in this video. In Yemen too since I've been 4 times to Hudaidah, I only find the same widespread common food that is present in the whole middle east like Foul, eggs variants, and lentil. Nevertheless, the food is amazing in ever,y middle eastern country that I have been to. Also I have seen another comment from you & it makes me wonder why you are so pissed, the hate in your heart is unnecessary, if you watch mark's video you find that Saudis never claim what isn't theirs. The presense of food doesn't mean they have claimed it. Chill you are runing Mark's channel .

The chef hand feeding Mark is so genuine and heartwarming 🥰 I Love the way they season and cook their food, using the whole animal from head to toe! It reminds me of my own Mexican heritage. We love using all the cuts of meat and similarly use chilies, onion, cilantro for garnish. They make the bread reminds me of tortillas even though I know it’s different. I related so much when they drank the juices out of a bag with a straw!! Same is done in small towns in Mexico!! Agh!! No doubt we’re all connected 🙌🏻 If God permits, I would love to visit there one day. Blessing to all 😇❤
