The big minimap was a good idea until they moved the axis labels to the middle of the screen. Now it's screen clutter and a nuisance to use.

My top tier is tier 8 and it is eye watering how bad some people are at high tiers. Face palming as much as I do when playing with people who, on paper at least, are far more experienced than I am is a baffling experience.

@BigLBA1 One theory I have is too many people play it like a shooter where your team mates are little more than "the things you don't shoot" or things you shout at when you yourself do something stupid.

Jingle is in the wrong business ... It's the middle of the day, and 5 minutes into a Jingles video, my eyes are drooping, and I'm yawning! Jingles could make a fortune doing those "relaxation" tapes!

"holy s...t" is the perfect assessment in the very last seconds of the video.

Come on Jingles, you can only see the stars when it's dark. If the rest of his team were more shiny he would not stand out like the star he is. :)

The Fletcher class became famous, in part, for their work as radar pickets, screening carrier battle groups against (and often bearing the brunt of) Japanese air attack. Yet in WoWs, the Fletcher has no radar.

I have a few nice replays, but it's been some time now since I'm experiencing the endless "synchronizing" screen when trying to watch any of my replays - even the ones just recorded. It's a known issue but Wargaming seems more focused on releasing new content and improvements, rather than fixing issues and caring for the base product functionality

LMAO that FDG had all 3 caps and was gonna win on points in less than a minute, yet he still decided to rush a fletcher...

The enemy Jean Bart got more XP on a loss than all but Hans. The enemy Musashi got more XP on a loss than half the winning team.

This is indeed quite a performance of the highest standards

I fully expected the Lion to go down just as the torpedoes reached the FdG, just because that would be the perfect punchline to a mess like this.

This is the video you show when a new gamer asks, "What's a carry?"

The Fletcher is indeed a very good ship. It's an arguably better torpedo boat than the Yugumo, only beaten by the German IMO. The Yugumo is somewhat stealthier, but that only goes so far when it only really outspots ships that are either faster than itself or the Kitakaze. It is one of the best gunboats and has access to the best smoke in the game. I'd say it is one of the most competitive DDs at T9 along with Chung Mu, Z-46 and the Jutland

Flambass just carries. He has to. No matter which server. Intelligence seems to be a rarely spread seed, and thank god, Flambass has it.

I think this battle also perfectly illustrates why the entire ranking system is a broken mess. Flambass killed 2/3 of the enemy team and got a monster score of 2800 base exp in the process. Meanwhile the Buffalo on his team did litterly nothing and ended up with less than 400 base exp. Both players ranked up with the same level of progress. I know WoW is a teambased game, but how in the world is THAT fair?

on the other hand, if it takes 93 battles even for the unicums to rank out, then these accidental outcomes matter a lot less. I agree that winning or losing one star is heavily influenced by randomness, but skill* becomes the more important factor if you want to rank out. *(and availability of the better ships and captains, btw) so the real problem of the ranked seasons imo is that they are grindfests. you have to play the same few ships over and over for 100-200 battles, in an intense competition. this is anything but fun for me.(losing a star only means that e.g. you finish in 125 battles instead of 123, and that 123 is bullshit in the first place.)

I'm in favor of a relative award of Stars: 1. Top player on Winning Team: 2 stars. 2. #2, #3, #4 on winning team: 1 star 3. #5, #6, #7 on winning team: 0 stars 4 Any player on losing team that scores more base XP than #4 Winning Player: 0 star. 5. All others on losing team: -1 star And ONE big change to the XP system: you get NOTHING for living longer. There should be NO XP awarded for just being alive 1 second. You have to actually do something to get XP, not just "survive".

Erik Trimble - interesting approach but maybe too complicated. Top 7 Base XP, win or lose, get a star; however, must have at least 500 Base XP. Rest of winning team no star. Losers lose.

I've seen this one before... but can't for the life of me remember if it was Panzerknacker or one of the other WOWS replay channels (or Jingles himself even) that posted it. But that damn FdG in the end.....

The way to angle is go right in the middle of the 2 cross fires but not directly in the middle more like a triangle

Anyone else notice a difference in quality in the video (sharpness etc) from around 5:00?

I love the fletcher. Happy to go 1v1 vs most players in any ship except cv that still has planes.

very VonSpeshul!!!! Just a thought for the Mighty Jingles final release as a Captain: Salt Tokens!! Earn the Salt tokens and trade them in the Armory. So effectively we have to mine Salt to get The Gnome Overlord

I think that Flambass guy is pretty good at this game.

I can't joke about most of the mistakes made in this match, because I've made most of them :) I won't be surprised to see my own ship in one of these videos...

Fletcher class USS Johnson was good enough to blow the bow off the IJN Heavy Cruiser Kumano, so yeah, it’s a good ship.

This is why I could stomach only one season of ranked. It's so fun to consistently get 3x 39-44%ers on your team that just utterly ruin the experience for the remotely competent players. But the speadsheet says that Cirein and Waaaagh had fun!

Am I hearing things or is there a *pop* at 10:46? Ah, there is another *pop* at 13:38, so I guess it is an ingame sound.

Wow, after the Georgia and Iowa on the friendly team got wiped, and the Izumo and Lion appeared to crave getting cross-fired, I thought this would be a "Flambass almost carried but it was too much" video. Apparently, the opposing team craved eating torpedoes from a known sneaky destroyer and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I mean, the Friedrich der Große only needed to sail away, because (s)he was seconds away from winning by points with 3 caps. Yeah, Monday morning armchair quarterbacking. :>

Someone get that man a back brace.

From playing a couple of games in the last days I got the feeling that players got exceptional worse than ever before in Wow.

I had the same problem in Randoms tonight, and I have a feeling it might be a combination of two things. One is that we have the ranked sprint season so a lot of the players are doing that, and the other is that the public test for the next patch is up. Players can now test the new Italian cruisers as well as the next addition to the Halloween event.

I just finished the Ranked Sprint in 30 games. God, was it painful. It's really hard to save your star when you've got a border humping BB that does nothing but snipe, and gets credit for tons of useless damage. I've also lost stars because BBs ramming other BBs get full HP damage count and XP.

Honest question jingles, do you get paid to promote ifhe?

And there’s me, can’t hit a torps at 2 km. range. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

He’s not wrong. If I had choice between the two I would take RPF because 5in guns just get progressively worse to the point you need all the fire chance you can get and IFHE will not solve any problems and it’s also good to know where a ship closest to you as a practical torp DD is at at all times because radar. However, another thing to note is that while the Fletcher is a good gun DD, it is better to play them as torp DDs so you should already have the relevant skills needed to play as such with a 10pt Cpt.

@@TheGeoCheese Surely, but my point is that i run both my Fletcher and my Gearing (and as such also my Hill and Benham, and possible other USN premium DDs in future) without IFHE to begin with, and i don't use RPF either because i feel you can get so much more useful skills. On Fletcher i use: PM, last stand, BFT, DE, TAE, vigilance, concealment on Gearing: PM, last stand, BFT, DE, TAE, SE, concealment. That build allows for four 3-point skills which i find highly useful on the US DDs. I don't particularly like RPF, since RPF is mainly useful on DDs that either get widely outspotted or have a slow turret traverse (or both), such as the USSR DDs- in my opinion that is. I just got a Lo Yang and i fully intend to get the Gearing build on that as well, and i use similar builds to fletcher or gearing on most of my DDs- with neither IFHE nor RPF. On the Friesland i currently use IFHE, but no concealment. On the Jervis/ Cossack i do have IFHE, and concealment. Since that already throws the system a bit, i could consider RPF there. I also use RPF on my shimakaze due to low turret traverse & fragility of the ship

If we dont have the benefits of hindsight, and the point of view of the DD... what was the FDG supposed to do? Just somehow guessing the exact point in time and trajectory those torpedos where launched?

I see what Jingles was thinking. Instead of charging forward after he sees the guy in front of him get obliterated, he should have slowed and backed up a bit with his bows still pointing at the Lion who he had the HP to kill. That would have protected his flank from the inevitable incoming fire from the Fletcher regardless of from torpedoes or 5-in fire. Then he would have been in a better position to engage the Fletcher with his secondaries and main batteries on his terms.

The basic idea is ... do not sail in a straight line at the same speed. for longer then it would take for torpedoes to travel from where the DD was seen shooting and killing your teammate. Turn or slow down and all those torp would of missed. If he had stayed alive like 30 more seconds, the FDG would of won on points.

@The Mighty Jingles - a quick comment on your Mingles with Jingles from monday where you mentioned that you can't show replays with bad mouthing going on in the chat... I believe you can turn the chat off in the replays the same way you can in matches... so, you could turn off the chat and show the matches... if you wish (perhaps the person still doesn't deserve it tho).
