No matter how old I get the word fartlek still makes me chuckle. Sorry. Anyway good work ladies.
Me: * throws up * My coach: * takes picture of my vomit * “That’s what I like to see, Good work”
I like watching this kind of training videos while lying on the bed
I have mad respect for runners.
The fartlek was made by a sadist who enjoys watching people suffer physically and you can't change my mind.

One of the early proponents of the fartlek session, Emil Zatopek, used to hold his breath and challenge himself to see how far he could run before inhaling. Insanity.

@hednersgame911 I think it depends on body chemistry. When I ran track in high school and junior college the "vomiters" were usually athletes who already vomited in previous practices whereas I never had a workout that made me feel ill even though I was a 400/800/miler (a not very good one).
Omg that looks a lot harder than what I do in high school XC
2 years later and they're Cross country national champs!
*mormon guys have entered the chat*
i'm getting second hand anxiety just watching this workout
Great content!! Appreciate the new stuff!🤙
Great pack running and keeping the squad together!
This is the best one in the series

I love these workout videos, just a quick suggestion to at the end add a little update of how that team is doing during their season. Thank you
Love the coach , love the team , love BYU, love this vid!!!

What paces were they doing?
We usually have tap out Tuesday’s instead of workout Wednesday’s and the name comes from the workout being so hard you want to tap out and quit but Tuesday’s are literally the only days you are not allowed to quit xc. Like Tuesday’s are the only times I have cried while running

Well you don’t automatically get that good and run fast, you have to progress there. Start off with a very short 1 mile run and go a pace that’s comfortable for you that you can maintain without stopping and build up your mileage from there.

"Whoops." Fartlek is speed-play, not intervals. Looks like a great breakdown of a workout ("This is FUN!"), but the surge (of a true fartlek) is missing -- that's a miracle 5 seconds or so.
Is she Punjabi "Diljeet"

Those skinny guys are still stronger than the women. What you think looks powerful is actually a higher body fat percentage of the women, not bigger muscles.

@azteacher26
4 жыл бұрын
Women biologically hold more body fat. Men's testosterone lets them cut to very low body fat. Women just can't get under 10% due to hormones. These girls look healthier because they have more fat. The guys are ultra competitive and have cut as much fat as they can safely cut. Looks as some professional distance running women who are illegally using hormone blockers and they look more like the men.
Ladys all beautiful.

This coach has some good philosophies but the fact that she doesn't want them to use their individual goals to push themselves during a practice seems kinda wrong to me 🤨
When I first read the coach’s name, I thought it said “Drillbit Taylor.”
