    4.05 To make it easy to unscrew the screw 13 on the back there is a little trick. The upper casing of the boiler consists of two parts. so you unscrew the two screws at the top and pull the plate off

    Another good one CP. Well explained as usual. Do you need to do a negative fan pressure check on these to determine whether they need to be stripped down and cleaned ? Or do do you strip and clean regardless ?.

  • @hdhanji8006

    @hdhanji8006

    Yes mate, just under the fan you'll find the -ve pressure test point cap. Good practice to do a full strip clean even if it passed FGA and fan pressure checks, it's all about preventative maintenance, not reactive!

I downloaded the boiler pdf but it only stated there is an internal drain point. I’m going back next week to service the boiler so I’ll have another go at draining the boiler

    Great vids as always mate, quick question as a newly qualified engineer I’m servicing friends and family’s boilers for the next few months just trying to get more experience . Where is the best place to source spare parts in London / south east London ? would you typically order them in then return to the job ? Invest in a range of supplies Would be good to get some feedback it’s hard graft starting out

    Find a local boiler spares and build a relationship with them. I get my bits from Essex Boiler Spares. But you can look at online merchants too. I keep a variety of van stock to get first time fixes but you'll learn what to carry as you go out on your own and finally which common parts you're replacing

    Taking out the top burner is two fold. It allows you to flush through the heat exchanger properly and replace the burner seal that can fail over time.

    the easiest and less time consuming way is to purchase a baxi. takes 2 mins to gain entry inside the burner. worcester like to make it as difficult as possible.i have no idea why people think worcesters are the best. they take twice as long to service and cost nearly twice as much to purchase.the o ring seals fail just as much as any other boiler,and they arnt any more efficient as any other band A boiler. complete waste of money in my opion.that opinion has been collected with over 35 years of fitting boilers@@karenmatthews9522
