Hi, British gas installed my boiler five years ago, has been indipendantly serviced, and they just came for an plumbing/boiler cover inspection and as my fan pressure was -4 they wouldn't cover unless I had a new heat exchanger fitted by them £800! They said that these cannot be cleaned properly, though the engineer only managed to get a little dirt out and his scraper went in smoothly. Thanks for the enlightening video.

If heat exchanger blocked will boiler make humming noise

Hi how many minimum minutes it should take a Worcester boiler engineer to carry out Worcester 30Cdi boiler service including cleaning heat exchanger, replace electrodes and change seals and clean condensate trap and change seal etc. Full boiler service as per manufacturer’s instructions?

Just done one, took 2.5 hours, recharge vessel, clean magna clean fit new o ring, cleaned heat cell, cleaned burner cleaned bearings, put it all back carried out flue gas checks checked top seal found it not sealing and leaking, stripped it down again whilst boiling hot, redone seal put back together got out about 2.5 hours later
