Now, that is an art piece.
Laburnum is just the most beautiful wood, I could never get tired of turning it. Great work Jack
I always hated having a piece of wood like that waiting to be split, but what you did with it is a work of art.
I'm fascinated by how you carve out the inside of a vase like this so that the thickness of the wood is consistent. It's amazing.

A stunning piece of wood turned (literally) into a stunningly beautiful piece of art. I love what you do Jack Mack. You could not have made a better career choice. Portland, Oregon USA
Beautiful! Admired from Albany NY.
This is beautiful and it's so nice to see a piece made from a huge lump of wood with no resin. But I have to say the thumbnail does look like you're about to carve a legless torso!
Beautiful piece! Missouri Ozarks, USA
Beautiful watching from India
I love the slow motion-it really shows what the tools are doing.
I'm in Kansas. Great work, Jack, with a starlingly beautiful chunk of wood. goog jo
I love the grain ❤
There are some incredible brain features. And it appears as two trees grew together at the base. Another special piece. I’m in Arizona.
Newly designated, amateur turner here, Jack. Learning more & more from you in North Carolina.

I am watching from my bedroom. Love the wood. Great job
I'd have never thought to position it to start as you did. Stunning result!
The grain and color are gorgeous. Excellent work Jack.
What a gorgeous piece..! I never saw Laburnum at all, even though I lived on a street named Laburnam Crescent here In Rochester, NY for a couple years.. I don't think it grows in the US, but I could be wrong. Well Done...!
You are a mad, brave, genius.
OMG❗️This wood is very stunning inside. The more you started working it, the more the beauty came out of it! What an amazing piece of artwork you created! I would have loved to have seen a epoxy shine finisher on it -that’s just me but either way it’s gorgeous!
Understatement of the year! What a beauty! Well done! Thank you for sharing! God bless!
Gorgeous! Love from the Netherlands!❤
Hello Jack. You never stop surpricing your audience. Great artwork. I am in the northwest of USA 🇺🇸. Take care, thanks 😊...

One of those things that draws the eye and never get tired of looking at. Nice, really nice! Roundup, MT.
This is a beautiful vase! Almost asked you what kind of wood this is, but I read some of the comments, and somebody said it was laburnum wood. Like the crack in the vase, too. Watching this from Detroit, Michigan.

Stunning!! The simple elegant shap truly shows off the grain of the piece.
Lovely piece. Greetings from Muggy, Kyushu, Japan!
You do use some really beautiful woods Jack, and this one is no exception. I really like the grain and where the crotch is just amazing brother!
That is insanely exotic!
WOW! That is so amazing
You captured the elegance of this art piece. I’m so glad you didn’t add resin, it gets used way too often. The craftsman obligation is to bring out the wood’s final beauty. Well done. Thank you for sharing your video.
Although you never repeat yourself in creating works of art and beauty, I have to repeat myself due to lack of adequate words for appreciating your work. I absolutely love the colour and grain of the laburnum wood. Thanks for sharing
Ohh, I understand it was a handful, but what gorgeous grain!
Hi Jack fabulous piece of work I’m turning a lot of Robinia pseudo acacia at the moment and the grain is just as beautiful. From Hampshire England
Beautiful piece
Wow what a piece the grain is incredible ❤
Absolutely beautiful piece of work! Thank you for sharing your genius
Usually when I watch one of these videos with a woodworker trimming a piece down with their bandsaw, I'm jealous and amazed at how effortless both their skill AND their saw ZIPS right through the wood. This time, however, I was greeted with the familiar sound of the various metal parts, the guide wheels, the blade spinning and all of it whining in protest. Your blade also looked far narrower than most other's that i watch. My bandsaw has a thin blade and also whines ,and the blade likes to bend and flex with every cut, always makes using it an absolute adventure! Watching from central Illinois!

Hey. The blade used here was almost full and ready to go to the big bandsaw resting place in the sky, I’m not one to waste time, changing this blade for a new one for rip cuts would have meant I’d never put this dull blade back on the saw, so instead I got one last use out of it.
Wow. The grain on that piece is amazing.
Wow, amazing grain. I love the flare.

I've got several pieces of wood very similar to the one that you started with so this gives me hope that I can turn something half as nice as your piece 👌
