You win more then you lose , so keep up the good work and God bless
That’s why we keep learning. It up. Nice idea
I love all your videos brother. You’re the awesome one.
Dang, hate when that happens. Sympathies! Do hope you will try it again. It was looking rather nice. Glad you still chose to share it with us.
Guil, sand the broken edge's flat and mount them to a board, hang the board on a wall, half round desplay shelves 👍

Awesome project Guil.
You are always a winner no matter what! It can´t be your fault that the faulty decieving crayons softened the beautiful wood just to make it break...

Lol thank you
Sorry to see it broke on you but good job showing the real outcome. Too many people would be too disappointed in the outcome to show it. These things happen to us all, give it another shot someday. Hope you and the fam stay safe, take care.....
That was a bugger was looking so good
Wow! That was beautiful wood! But it's all good! I'm a woodworker with a scrollsaw. I don't have room for a lathe although I would love to have one! I've been scrolling for over 35 years and I couldn't begin to tell you about all my failures! Within the past year I got into compound cutting which is a real job because you try to cut something out of a block of wood on a scrollsaw. I decided to make a chess set with complicated figures which aren't your normal chess set. One side is complete which represents England and the other is in the making which represents France. Don't give up my brother! Keep on keeping on! I'm sure you're a talented individual capable of doing many fine things!
Cool idea! You need to try that again....

I will succeed..... One day lol
Wow neat to make another one
Do it again! Not a bad idea, just don't mix the colors until the blend gray. Stay safe.
I just love you!
The dress rehearsal always sucks when opening night is a hit. I bet the next try will be excellent!
I enjoyed your project, sorry it didn’t work out, but you must have learnt all about setting the colours. In the end the colours really looked great. Hope you show your next try.

Defiantly on the cards to try again
Guil, you are AWESOME! Love the idea you were going for and sorry it failed... THIS TIME. Try again my friend! Cheers! Stuart
Good to see you back Guil and I pray you and your family are doing well. The project was shaping up to be something rather unique and I loved the grain of the wood you used. As they say you don't know until you try. I wonder if after you melted the crayons if you'd of used a clear resin to encapsulate the colors and turned the resin and sand and finish. Would that have added strength to the wood? Also, what kind of wood was that. I am awesome after watching your video and look forward to the next one. Stay safe and cheers from Tennessee.❤️🍻👍
But it was a really fun effort!
Bummer brother but thanks for sharing stay safe ✌
Had the same thing happen to me today, was going to be a good platter, but hey it happens.
Watching you try to melt the crayons and all turning to brown😅. Would it have been better to melt all of the individual colors in separate containers and make a pour? Just brainstorming here. I know that would probably take longer to do though
The question that I have for you is did you have fun and if you did then al is well.

Oh Bugger, I was getting excited to see the bright colours coming back through. Oh, well, credit fro trying.
It was looking good mate, but I feel your pain. The exact same thing happened to me yesterday turning a blackheart sassy platter. Looking forward to your next video 👍🏼
I am so sorry Guil that was so cool, with a beautiful wood, great grain, and a very neat idea, you'll get it next time !! Keep it up I look forward to the next video!

Well you can just consider that one your trial run with the crayon melting. Now that you know that works you can make the real one next.

Yes very much so lol
Heads up my friend you had an awesome idea, I hope you revisit it!!
OOOH NOOO! Sorry it didn't work out but a least you gave it a go.👍
A man's got to know his limitations.
live and learn
was so pretty though
Bummer, buddy... it happens. Next time you'll kill it. Billy
♥
Such a bummer! Sorry, Guil!
Shame . I was really keen to see how you were going to seal the wax , what was your plan with that ? Always fun watching you though . 👍

I'm not sure now lol
Damn that wood looked awesome ...thats such a heart renching moment of dissapointment.....But as a trial run a good idea, what were you going to seal it with thin resin? Dont give up! cant wait for the next installment..
Doh!
There's a bright side - you didn't make a funnel... But even if it had worked out, how would you have finished the wax bit? It will always be soft and easily scratched and I don't think resin will stick to it.

There was the plan to put a top coat of resin over the project but I guess will never know
woodworker sandwich
You have been beguiled!
bummer...you'll have to do it again, next time use a small flame torch, better control mixing the colours. them encapsulate the wax inn resin
😢😢😢😢😢😢
Cool piece. I’m pretty sure you’re not the first Turner that’s happened to. 🤓
