Women with THIN FINE hair LOVE this Haircut (I can see why!)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Women with thin and fine hair (myself included) love this haircut and I certainly know why. In my experience as a licensed hairstylist, this style of haircut is the best haircut for thin hair. **How To Make Fine Hair Look Fuller WITHOUT Extensions • How To Make Fine Hair ...
Females with less volume often struggle with areas of thinning and are unable to pump up the volume in their strands. This haircut tutorial is intended to help YOU as a client talk to your hairdresser about what you want out of your haircuts. This short bob hairstyle provides thin hair women with a strong baseline, excellent styling capability and tons of versatility. This easy female cut is one of the hairstyles that made me feel absolutely amazing after my hair transplant surgery.

Hey Gabi, a couple things; Great video And I am a 45y female with a scar where my cowlic was, than spans about a 3 in diameter. Plus fine, curly hair 2c and 3a, length to past the bra line. Usually wear it in an offset braid, to ensure coverage of the scar/hairless area. Been a year and a half since a trim, because I need help with knowing what's best. I am scheduled for a consult to possibly expand the skin and remove the scar(lupus related). Any suggestions?

Love these cuts! MY problem is very damaged and very bad thinning at the top of my head, caused by a bad dye job gone bad 😱! And, no matter what I do to my sides, which I part to the left, I have barely any top hair left. I have tried parting from left to right , middle, just about everything. Nothing can be done for me now. Soooo embarrassing! Good video, though. 👍🙂🙂

I have always wanted to have a blunt bob which is slightly angled like your demo. My hair is fine and I have had a layered bob with a fringe. Now I am growing the fringe out and my layers and slowly cutting the back myself (with two mirrors!) to allow the shorter front to catch up (angle going the wrong way here). Thanks for the tip of a shorter piece at the back to cushion the curve. I am sure I will like this style but will have to wait at least 6 months to achieve it. I will get there!

Great, Gabi, this is it. An irregular bob is best for fine hair. I have managed to create my own style for my medium-fine hair during the long months of the pandemic. I layer, then blunt-cut. I'm quite proud of my results, but then again, I would have liked to be a professional hair-stylist, but ended up in Adult Education. I'm 62 now, and professional re-training is too late. So I keep watching videos like yours. I will do as you say, you're spot on in everything.

Amazing what people give up on. Many States charge senior citizens NO tuition for community college, State college, and State University classes. Most only allow non-tuition paying senior citizens to 'audit' classes. However, depending on State licensing requirements, passing a State licensing test may be enough to qualify for some kinds of State licensed. The places to enquire include the State Secretary of State's Office (usually in charge of professional licensing), State Department of Education, and the campuses if interest. Often, benefits are included such as access to the Student Placement Office and free versions of student computer programs for downloading. The medical community is warning women that women ought to be preparing now to live to be 100. Of your potential 38 years of longevity, 35 might turn out to be far more active than you expect. You might consider whether your retirement budget is set up for that. Licensed hair dressers volunteer once a month at women's and family homeless shelters and cut hair in nursing homes and private homes for fees and tips. S.C.O.R.E. (Service Corps of Retired Executives) hand train individuals fir free in hie to create and manage a small business. Community college, college, and university classes can include auditing public relations classes in journalism or Communication to learn self promotion. Senior citizens are frequently found in the studio art classes, photography classes, literature classes, and history classes. Classes are selected in consultation with advisors who assure that campus requirements are satisfied. You might reconsider at 67, if you become bored in retirement once you get several years of rest and see how your budget developes.

@@nancy9478 And check on State community college, college, and university fee discount programs for retirees and the disabled. The typical offer is retirees being able to "audit" for free. This is to add mature experience to class discussions, so basically the school gets you for free, and you get the school for free. Maryland is in the minority of States that allows retirees to take for credit undergraduate and graduate courses for a few hundred dollars instead of for thousands of dollars. Retirees are allowed to earn degrees through Maryland discount programs for retirees. If your County runs the community colleges rather than the State, check on their discounts for retirees and the disabled. Our County in Maryland runs a multiple campus community college system that allows those on Social Security retirement or disability to pay only the registration fee and lab material fee while paying NO tuition. Also, be certain to visit the Student Placement Services Office and read their webpage on the school website to discover what they can do for you free. They keep an elite job list of employers who prioritize hiring part or full time with college experience. The most typical deal is that you get lifetime access to Student Placement Office services free for your lifetime upon earning 15 credits. Furthermore, ask Registration and Library Staff whether the school has a free computer download program. These are common. You might be entitled to about $500 worth of free computer programs for your home computer or laptop free as soon as you are given a student ID number or campus email as part of registration. These programs are generally for currently registered students. Find out about free access to the swimming pool and workout equipment. Keep in mind that Student Government has many interesting experiences to offer. Often Faculty Committees manage the school and seat 1 undergrad and 2 graduate student as voting members to set school policy. This can also get you invited to an occasional party. It certainly allows you to add an Administrative Experience section to your resume. The process is to walk over to Studen Government offices and chat with them -- but avoid making the visit the first week of classes. CLASSES are only one aspect of college culture. As a registered student you can usually volunteer at professional society conferences in exchange for free registration. In retirement it can be very beneficial to carry 1 credit hour to get the perks. That 1 credit hour can be in an audited or pass/fail pe class in folk dance or skill class, etc. Studio art and photography and beginner foreign language instruction before traveling are also very popular with retirees. Inquire whether the college has an Interdisciplinary Major Program that allows a 4 year degree you uniquely design for yourself. Typically, those require a balance among freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes with some reasonable connections. For example, the college might not have a Social Psychology major but allow a combination of Sociology and Psychology courses to lead to an Interdisciplinary degree. A person might to study one part of the world or etc., taking an Interdisciplinary degree in Eastern Culture or European Studies or Third World Commerce, or Allied Arts. On average, those who earn a 4 year degree live 8 years longer than the general life expectancy tables. If/When you get to the level of being able to teach yourself fully through independent research, feel entitled to stop going to school. As long as guided study helps you more, you are welcome in classes.

Love this - this style is exactly what I've looked for - for literally decades. I have carefully written down instructions for hair dressers very similar to what is offered in the video. I have brought and shown pictures of bobs just like this. I have carefully explained my "difficult" hair - over and over and OVER. "Rinse repeat" every darn time without ever actually getting the cut I want and the cut my fine thin hair truly needs because most hairdressers just do not listen to or respect what the customer wants, IMO. They decide what THEY think you "need." Then to disguise a poor haircut, or one which does not even ballpark resemble what you have asked for/written down for no possible confusion on their part/provided photos of - they then pressure you to buy expensive hair products to use to "make the style happen." The last time this happened to me, the $200 cut was lopsided and literally 1/2 inch "holes" had been cut in my hair so that several cowlicks stood straight up while some shoulder-length hair remained. I left the salon in tears then next day drove 130 miles to a toprated salon in the nearest mega-city and got the shortest pixie available. I still trim it myself (no more 130 mile/260 rt with gas prices so high) and call it my "pandemic pixie." At least the cowlicks no longer look out of place! Every hair tutorial by every KZread beauty advisor needs advice on how to deal with hairdressers that refuse to give you the cut you want or worse give you what they "think looks good" but never does! (Followed by really good advice about growing out a pandemic pixie without resorting to scarves or wigs.)

I totally understand the struggle. The thing is that layers DO give volume on the crown but it doesn't matter if you have no baseline. The most important thing when working with fine hair is to keep the baseline strong or you lose the entire structure of the cut. Some people literally cannot have layers! I'm sorry that you have had some frustrating experiences.

So many time I've requested a slight cut angle and want a little shorter in the back like you explained. You are point on. Anyway, my hairdresser said a simple blunt cut is too difficult to get straight. Huh? She also would not highlight the way I asked. You couldn't even tell I had highlights after paying $190!! @@GlamGirlGabi Oh my Gabi. So it took me another 6 months to find a new hairdresser. By this time my hair had grown so it would be easy to do a blunt bob. I explained how I wanted it cut; she commented that she had been cutting hair for 20 years and she would do a good job. She also highlighted my hair. I wanted golden blond highlights; no ash. What did I get? Ash. So... the cut. I even asked if she wanted to see the video which I had transferred to my phone. Answered no. She started with the back. The first chop she started cutting in and layering. My breath stopped and I said I thought we understood I wanted it all one length. As she continued to cut, she said I don't know how to cut straight across. Result: a layered haircut! Devastated. I'll have to wait another year for it to grow. I live in a town of 350,000 but can't find a hairdresser who will listen. I'm ready to fly to your state just to get a good haircut. Are you on west coast, east coast, or middle of America?

While I take extremely good care of my hair, and it’s super healthy, I’ve noticed that it’s thinning more and more due to hormonal issues. This video popped up randomly in my suggestions yesterday. I showed my husband the video and I broke down and let him cut my hair. He ended up cutting off over 12” and I may have had a moment or two where I was wondering what possessed me to let him take scissors to my hair. But I’m happy to say I now have a super cute cut and my thinning hair doesn’t look so thin. This cut literally breathed new life into my hair! So thank you, thank you, thank you for making such a great video that even a husband that’s a complete amateur could follow with success.

THANK you! I really appreciate all your specific answers, YES! I have very little hair thickness on the sides and front sides of my head. Layers don't work well for me unless they start below the chin and my hair is long. I try bangs, then don't want them and growing them out doesn't look good! Oh boy, so much to learn! Great video. I appreciate your explanations very much. Best to you!

Finally affirmation of how I want my hair cut! Hairdressers are so bought in on point cutting, do it when I ask not to. Must be the seminars they attend.

I have fine hair and always ask for this same cut! It’s truly so flattering. I side part my hair and one side starting to feel a bit heavy so we did some minimal face layering there and I regret it! It’s just like what you said about how it thins it out in the front. Growing it out a bit so I can re-cut it.

You beautiful woman! Honestly, I'm tearing up a bit because I have been struggling with hair loss due to significant amounts of weight loss (which is great, but my confidence began lacking when my beautiful mane started thinning out a great deal). I have been needing a haircut to get me through this temporary stage and I have been unsure of what to get, nor how to even determine and then explain what my specific wants are. I have no clue about things when it comes to the inner workings of cutting hair and so getting my haircut is always a hassle because I don't know the specifics of what to ask. I just point to a picture like a kid and tell them to use their best judgment, lol. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for going a step further and letting us know specifically what to ask for and why. I am looking forward to a new haircut and now I can do so with the confidence of knowing how to relay what I am looking for. Thank you!! God bless!

Great advice. Even for if you have longer hair. Never do layers, it makes your hair look so thin and short especially if it is long. It just looks shorter and thinner. So the advice you basically give for short hair also works for long fine hair.

Professional here! It’s ALMOST NEVER OK to point cut baby fine thin hair. Blunt lines are key to creating a weighted look on most styles therefore making the hair appear thicker. I can’t tell you how many times co workers have point cut my hair and I have to go back and blunt that out cause it makes me look bald. I tried this haircut during Covid, let my hair grow down but it was so raggedy and thin I took it back above my ears again. I do love this video and I hope a lot of stylists are watching and taking notes!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Thank you so much ! .. finally the proper verbiage to tell the stylist! I have always had very thin fine hair. Recently I have struggled to find a good hair cut because I moved away from my stylist I had for years , I am also aging and my hair is changing, and it has become more difficult to find something that I am satisfied with. My question would be how does this look when not styled and if your hair gets affected my humidity, what would you recommend?

Hi Gabi, Thank you for the video and the great advice. I had a shorter hair cut 6 months ago with layers, on my fine hair. It was cute but it made the ends so wispy. I have moved now and found a recommended hairdresser and plan to get this cut, I have waited 2 months for the appointment and its grown a lot. Its out of shape and I tie it back to look styled. As my hair is greying it gets a bit wild, so a blunt cut will be perfect. Thank you.

I've been wanting to change my style from "middle of the back length. with a bend", to something shorter. easier to care for, more versatile, easier to color, easier to condition! I absolutely love your channel! Thank you for addressing all the problems that us thin fine hair girls have. Several years ago, I started using Wen. It too 3 different bottles for me to find the right one for my hair even though it says they all are for all hair types. BULL! But, I loved it for about 5-6 years. My hair was healthier, color lasted longer, it was fuller! For some reason I quit using it. I was wondering what your thoughts were on the "no-poo" shampoos

OMG this haircut is the best one I've ever had! I have very fine, wavy hair with 3 cowlicks and oily skin and scalp. I sent this video to my hairdresser and just got this cut for the second time. The only modifications are that I didn't get the slight undercut or forward angle because the hair below my crown is much curlier than the longer hair on top, so it looks shorter naturally. I rarely straighten my hair so this works for me. Byebye limp, wispy, straggly locks! My hair looks so much fuller and healthier. I can finally go a day without washing without my hair looking stringy and terrible. I hope you offer a follow up video on different ways to style hair cut in this style. This truly was a life changing haircut, no exaggeration! I feel so much better about how my hair looks! I'm spending much less time styling since I'm working with my hair, not against it!

Hi from down under. You must be the only stylist on the planet that knows hair. You confirm what we all think and want, have been requesting but getting something else. I'm so misunderstood by my hairdressers that I've been cutting my own hair in frustration. Guess what? I recently cut it (using my common sense) and it turns out to be the same as your tutorial. Confirming I'm not mad. Keep up the great and thoughtful styling.

Thank you for explaining how to cut your hair into a bob. I’m growing my hair from short, cut out over the ear. And I want a bob. Now I know exactly what to tell my stylist when I go. If my sides would grow out long enough. I did get the back of my hair cut. The lady just said, “ Oh, you want it stacked.” I told her not to cut the sides after I saw my hair falling on the floor, and felt it gone on my neck. I now know where not to go too.

Thank you so much!!!! This is exactly what I always ask for but not always get. The worst thing is when I ask for this exact way of getting my hair cut and it looks perfect, only for the hair dresser to point cut in the last few seconds because they just can't resist doing it, and I walk out feeling like I have thin ratty awkward strands for hair while just minutes before that it looked full. I am saving this video so that I can write down the exact things to emphasise to a hairdresser, or even to show them some parts of this video if the salon is quiet/empty enough and not busy. Have a blessed 2024! XXX
