I have the same issues AND the same thin, fine hair problems because of them. This was quite informative and helpful. I can't use curling irons (and have the burn marks to prove it!) and am only marginal with a round brush and a hair dryer but your "tips" made me feel like I might be able to learn. Thanks!

John Frieda makes a 1-1/2 inch hot air brush that is awesome. I started with the Revlon One Step which I love, but then I got my hair all cut off and the Revlon styler was too big so I bought the John Frieda. I love it just as much as the Revlon and you could achieve the same look as she does in the video without having to wield a round brush and separate dryer.

Thank God for dry shampoo! It has made my life easier. At age 72 I finally accepted my fine thin hair and I follow much of the way you do. I have a bob which works for me, try not to shampoo more than twice a week and use my dry shampoo for volume. I really think the fewer shampooing is helping. As a child I only shampooed once a week and had lots of fine hair. It is a pleasure to see someone with my struggles instead of a thick haired woman PrENTENDING to have our type of hair

Carla bobs wife here….I saw a doctor about my hair the shafts of each strand felt stripped and my hair was falling out all over the house. The doctor said I had inherited male pattern baldness from my father and there was little I could do except take hormone therapy or use romaine. I already use vitamin d. I really hate having to spend hours on my hair. I already have to shave my face every day. Does anyone have a reasonable helpful routine that does not require so much time.?

Remember to also take care of your hair with nutrition… bone broth, gelatin, vitamin e, whole food vitamin c, etc… 18 months ago I was loosing hair big time. Frightening. Now I have a lot of healthy hair. Once a week I dampen my hair and then massage scalp and hair with a 50/50 mixture of coconut oil and castor oil… leave it for at least an hour and then wash and style. Finally, I sleep with a hair bonnet…
I started to have hair like this at age 13. I was so young. I trust the hacks from people like you rather than younger people who don't actually have thin hair but think they do. So thank you!

Hi Mona, I am 60 years old and 5 years ago I stopt dying my hair. My hair has become thicker. I have more of a grey ash colour now. During the lockdown i gave my hair more freedom to relax it. After washing my hair, I stopt blowdrying my hair, and I stopt using hairsprays for months. I think we have to concider to give our hair some naturel freedom for a few months, without damaging our hair with blow drying and putting other products in our hair. It was my own idea, and my hair looks beautiful now.

Guaranteed super volume for fine hair - crimping underneath layers, where it cannot be seen. As well as that, I use volume powder at roots, then tease, then setting spray those same layers. The top layer is left straight to smooth over all that work. Takes some practise to get it personalised, but absolute massive volume. And stays that way for days unwashed.

Very good and instructive tutorial. Until my hair turned grey it was thick. Now it’s of a different texture and flattens very quickly, and is straighter (it was frizzyish before!). I’ve been a slave to my hair all my life - slept in rollers when young so hair would be straight 😮. Thank the lord for straighteners. Have a good day.
My daughter suggested biotin and it’s really helped my hair and nails. Went through an annoying stage as all the new baby hairs grew, but holy cow (!), I have a bit more hair. I’m 63.
Finally, a video of someone who has hair like mine. Fine hair. Other folks talking fine hair n I just don't see it
Your hair looks beautiful the way you style it!!! Mine is falling out, due to menopause. I gave myself a mullet, following a tutorial. I did a pretty good job! But the layers only make my hair appear thinner...so now I'm going to grow it back out. I kinda regret cutting it now. 😕

I am so appreciative of this video! For the first time my post menopausal/post BC hair looked normal without frying it to death! Thank you.
Hurrah a real person with real thin hair. This was great advice would never have thought about dry shampoo shots
Love this! Looks awesome. Thank you for jumping right into it and being specific.
Your hair is very straight, try this. Wash your hair and leave it to dry naturally. I recommend you then use rollers and a small amount of a setting product on dry hair. Then, use a hairdryer to dry, keep it on a low setting or go up, as long as it's hot and pointing across and all over on top of the rollers.. Then put the Hairdryer on cold , and give your head a cold blast for as long as you can bear it, or for at least a minute or two. Leave the rollers in, and do something else. You see, when doing your hair and drying it, it feels dry. It's NOT dry really, your scalp is still a bit damp. This is something that people either forget or don't even realise. This is often the reason why people feel let down after paying a lot of money in a Hair Salon only to find their beautiful hairstyle has begun to unravel. I know rollers are looked on by some as a bit old fashioned, but many Salons still use them. You could have your hair permed but only on the crown, This will give you some body on top for ever day . You can use the upside down drying, you know, blowing your hair when your hair is upside down. Buy a set of electric rollers if you want. I still have a set given quite some time ago, and they are great for those times when you're in a hurry. I don't think using a dry shampoo every day is a good idea. What did your hairdresser say about that ? It's not necessarily good for your hair every day, but that's up to you.. Good luck!
Thanks for the advice I will try the dry shampoo I am 75 and Thin hair. I don’t mind getting older, but my hair used to be really thick

I went to a hairstylist a long time ago and the woman was flabbergasted when she noticed thinning hair on the top of my scalp. She acted as if that is the worst thing in the world and kept saying: well, there is nothing we can do about that. Lady, I did not ask you to do anything about that, but I would think a real professional hairstylist could at least give suggestions like this lady in the video does. Thinning hair comes along with aging for a lot of us. Menopause changes our hair completely and we need practical help.
Great tips - thank you Jennifer!

Salt spray helps my texture, flatness, and static electricity. Dry shampoo too often is so drying. I still use the Kenra texture spray I read you use. Also use Drybar Southern Belle root volume mousse. My hair stylist has thyroid trouble, at age 36 she is having thinning hair. She recommends rosemary essential oil about 20 drops in an 8oz bottle of shampoo. Smells wonderful, not sure it helps. I could always improve my diet.

Hi Lisa! how're you doing?
Trying to grow my pixie hair out . Thanks for the tips . Will try these tips out. Thank you.
Great tips!!! The struggle is real!
I have fine thin hair also and the Dyson Air Wrap has been a game changer.
I am your age and have pretty much your exact amount of hair and this is fantastic. Thank you!!! Subbing.
A tip for thinning hair is to massage the thinning area 2 mins or so, 2 to 3 times a day. This stimulates hair growth in the area being massaaged. (I do it while I watch TV)

A good idea, but I have greasy hair so the massage would stimulate the oil production unfortunately

Rosemary oil is very good for scalp massage and encouraged new hair growth ,for greasy hair just use rosemary in water instead and rinse over the scalp leave overnight x

@@50angeleyes just use rosemary tea instead of the oil x
great job I use dry shampoo every day and hair spray. I also have found Gemmist shampoo and conditioner. I also use Cel tincture on my scalp. It's taken a year for it to really make a difference. My hair hasnt gotten thicker but it's definitely filled in on my scalp AND grown 5 inches !!! Just thought I'd let you know what's worked for me. Best of luck!

Hi Robyn! how're you doing?
I love this video. An older real woman I can relate too. Thank you.
Thank you for this great video. My hair is just like yours - except curly (I hate the curls because it looks stringy, so I blow dry and straighten with a very large round brush). But I never heard of using dry shampoo! I just put some in my Amazon cart and can't wait to try it! One thing I just want to add... last year I purchased a "hair topper" (like a partial wig that just snaps on and gives me thicker bangs and crown) and I have gorgeous hair in a second! It's really comfortable too - and unlike a wig, I can wear it all day if I want. I don't use it for regular everyday wear because that's my preference. But on bad hair days and special occasions - I love it!

You could be my twin ...fine, thin, curly, receding hair. I also have never heard of using dry shampoo but am going to try it - especially since I now only wash my hair -1 to 2 times a week now. I also bought a hair topper last year and it is awesome! I wear it on special occasions and bad hair days when I want to look nice. It's been a game-changer for me! No more baseball hats!
My thanks for your encouraging how-to video!!!! I love your look,, Pretty Lady.
This morning I washed my hair and copied you! It is perfect!

I have the same hair and same haircut! thank you for the tips.
Absolutely beautiful!! I love it!! 💖💖💖
thats exactly how I used to style my fine, thin hair. The other tip was only shampooing it once a week. Now...game changer...I finally got K-tip hair extensions. couldn't be happier. Your video was perfect!!
Thanks for the tips . A good haircut doesn't hurt either !
Great tips!! Thanks!
Looks great! It made a big difference. Thank you for sharing.

Dry shampoo can build up on your hair and Scalp and cause your folicals to get clogged. That can cause hairloss. I bet you'd get these same results with the way you blow dry your hair and the hairspray. The dry shampoo is overkill. ♡
Many thanks for this video. My hair has recently starting thinning and good to see how you styled your hair.

Hi Suzanne! how're you doing?
Nice look! I to have the dreaded hole at the back of my head. I didn’t realize it was actually a cowlick, but I’m always trying to cover it up. I don’t use a lot of product I found for myself. It tends to weigh my hair down, but I am taking in the tips that you’ve provided.
Thank you for your tips. My hair is thinning as well. I use dry shampoo but I haven’t thought of using it in this way, also the drying tips were very helpful.

Brilliant! And you look amazing.
I have thin , fine poker straight hair - I kept it short for de ades then decided to let it grow to jaw length - wear it in a pageboy.I've never been happier with my hair.
