How must she feel, thinking the one person who should be protecting and loving her unconditionally, seems to be putting her second for a man, who’s not even her father and even if he was she still should put her daughter first. I say that as a man and a father myself. I would never want my wife to put me ahead of our kids. If it meant kicking me out then so be it.

She’s a monster just like her boyfriend. “I had a lease that I couldn’t break so I sent my daughter who was molested away from me (her mother) and stayed with her abuser”....there are no words.

Even if they were going to try to charge you until your lease is up you still have the ability to pack your stuff and move out. Yep, when I told my mom I had been molested by a family member, i was so mortified to say what had happened that i wrote it down in a letter so i wouldn't have to say it. Then I ran and hid behind the couch, terrified to face her. Thank God she was supportive.

Children being coached by the ex partner is nothing new. But parents should always side with the child unless it's proven to be wrong. Sending the child away? That poor girl... how abandoned she must have felt... worth less... its being her fault. How could a mother do that?

Yup when I was a kid I wanted to tell my mother but I was disgusted and embarrassed by these things !

Usually it's innocent until proven guilty but I STRONGLY FEEL in cases of child abuse/ molestation etc its GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT!!!!!!!! She was 8 years old!! This poor girl.

My mom did this with me too when i said i was being molested. She lost custody and visitation for years.

No jury would want an innocent man to go to prison. Mom doesn't believe this man hurt her child, the jury looked at the evidence and thought differently. This woman is disgusting, I hope that her consort is never able to hurt another child. No man would confess to abusing a child unless he did it and tried to justify his bad behavior, no way. Most men would be apalled at the idea of harming a child in that way.

Well, everything she said was a lie. When she said that he confessed because the police "promised to let him go." That's illegal in many areas of the United States. Police can lie about what evidence they have, but they cannot tell someone that they will be let go or get a shorter sentence if they confess. Any attorney worth as little as salt would be able to argue such a confession should be thrown out and any judge who knows anything would have been happy to do so. The fact it wasn't shows that there was no proof the interrogation wasn't done clean.

Women (and men) who are desperate and broken want someone else to put them back together because they’re hurting. And rather than deal with the situation they want everything to go away. One night, my stepfather was drunk. I had came in the room to sleep after a nightmare and my mom put me in the middle of the bed. I was around nine. He began to touch me, believing I was my mother. My mother was the one who stopped it and put me back in my room. She told me to not talk about it, and so I didn’t. When I brought it up to my therapist years later she swore up and down I was a liar. Only after she began the process of divorcing him four years later did she finally admit that she remembered seeing him assault me. She wanted to keep her family together and she wanted it to go away. I pray this mother gets a backbone soon and cuts this bastard out of her life. It will not only heal her, but begin a healing process for her daughter as well.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. My mother also chose to ignore the fact that I was sexually abused and defended her friend even though she was 100% aware of it and it had been corroborated by other adults that witnessed it. Very sensitive question but do you really believe that he thought that you were your mother when you were in bed with them? Or do you believe that his actions were intentional?
