I think that it’s sad that a lot of women would be in denial and stay. I know I wouldn’t. I would need someone to hide the shotgun from me because I wouldn’t be able to contain my anger toward my husband.

I really hate that phrase. There is no "her truth" or "his truth" there is only THE TRUTH.

She is a strong woman. I hope she has support from her friends and family. I’m so happy that she stands her ground.

This literally happened to a friend of mine about 3 months ago and they were married for 10 years and share a 9 yr old son. Homeland security was able to trace him. Both this lady and my friend are really strong women and will pull from this.

It's protocol for any kids involved to be interviewed by detectives and mental health professionals without the parent present. Her kids have definitely been talked too. I hope her and the kids can heal from this

I'm seeing how people are calling her fool for not noticing the red flags. But if you were ever in love I think you know that most of the time you just wanna outlook the flaws your partner bears. Most probably that's the case for her. And the amount of trust she had towards him for over 10 years of marriage, damn, she is lucky to finally catch him on his heinous act, tbh. My wife and I are having to pick our mouths up out of the floor! We know this kinda betrayal happens all the time but as smart as she is he must of been really clever and sneaky! I am not sure how it works when people are in prison, but be careful burning other people's belongings. It looks good in movies, and may feel good at the time, but it is also the fodder of many a lawsuit.

This Lady is Awesome. From personal experience this is not how it always goes. My Aunt caught her newlywed husband with a 5 year old passed out in their bed while she was bathing. He is a psychopath and she is easily manipulated. Anyways she stayed with him, lied to herself and family life for 35 years. Shaming the nephew who was abused, and scapegoating him at extremely early age. At a young age the uncle was pointing out to the family how there was something wrong with this kid, blaming the mom for screwing him up. At 40 when the abused quit drinking, started meditating and put the fragmented memories back together as an adult, he realized what had happened and everything made sense. He told the family what had happened and of course they did not want to believe or hear about it so the abused child looses entire extended family. Meanwhile the accused couple up and moved provinces leaving an unsold house behind for months. They would not respond to any questions, or calls, she would cry and hang up and tell her family she is being harassed. She suffers Stockholme syndrome from the incident and histrionic narcissist disorder from living in fear and shame for so many years. There is some sick people out there and ya never know it just might be that uncle who acts like a big shot but deep down is an insecure chump so low on the dominance hierarchy that he gets off on suffocating toddlers till they black out. Pay attention to them uncles who like to reach out and grab children. In hindsight this uncle did it lots at family gatherings just to get a reaction out of his wife. Now we understand what he was doing to her, tormenting her openly in front of the family. Oh and when the story came out after they moved away, we find out he was previously married with two children that were never talked about for 35 years. Needless to say one of his kids caught him with a toddler doing disgusting acts and instead of telling, black mailed him for years getting money and vehicles in exchange for silence. Oh and when it comes to authorities in a case like this, well time for a new force in this country sadly, to many less then desirables with a badge openly willing to drop the ball.

This kind of so called man is a master manipulator. Anyone can be fooled by one of them. It's very difficult to move on after something so horrific happens to you and your children. Some people don't believe you or the child/children and others victim blame acting like you should have known, that you weren't protective enough, that you must have been in denial and make you feel like it's some kind of dirty family secret that you should keep to yourself. The predator and his family will often tell every kind of lie in the world to play the victim. She is wise not to allow any contact between this man and her children ever. You may think that you should have seen the warning signs or that there are warning signs. Not all of these types of men have any history of dating women with children, paying too much attention to children or showing any interest in children at all. As you can see, he had a beautiful wife and many of these predators will, they will also be pillars of the community, very high achievers in their careers and seem like the nicest guy around. My only answer is to teach your children well and make sure that they know that if anyone ever touches them or does anything to them to make them feel uncomfortable or fearful of threats, that they have to tell you. Nobody marries a monster, they hide in plain sight and it can often take years to find out who they really are.
