WNYP Sept 2013

An Autumn visit to the WNYP on Sept. 24th and 25th. As the early morning fog lifted, we caught a Cuba turn heading out and back. While the big Driftwood Turns have wound down for the year, our second chase of the day was still exciting with some good six-axle MLW sounds, finishing up in Port Allegany. The second day we chased a Hornell turn with a single unit as far as Hornell and back to Andover. The foliage was spectacular. Thanks to the WNYP folks for a great time.

Awesome video! It’s such a shame they don’t run to Hornell anymore.
Another fantastic video. Thanks so much for posting it. I especially love the segments around the 6.00 to 7:30 (and in numerous other sequences) where the engineer of ALCO 85 sounds that Nathan M5 (pretty sure that's what it is) in his own unique style and it echoes off the surrounding countryside. It's beautiful! Those ALCO's can certainly make some decent smoke when working hard. The railroad also has a neat website. Thanks again for such a well done video. It was a pleasure to watch.
Excellent film, keep them coming. It's almost like I was there.
Thanks for filming the old bridge abutment at Liberty. The old Potato Creek Railroad.
Fantastic video, thanks for posting.
Looks like you had a nice DFT southbound that day and certainly much better weather than I had, great video!
