On Monday September-21st-2015,I made my first visit to the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railroad.We caught several American Locomotive Company, or ALCO and Montreal Locomotive Works or MLW diesels running.We caught some in the shops and on the Road.
We caught WNYP C430 431 Switching in the yard and we chased the Driftwood Turn
With M636S 638(Southbound leader) 637 and
RPPX 85(Northbound Leader)
WNYP M636 638 had an amazing K3L AND RRPX M636 85 Had a Killer M5.Enjoy and thanks for watching!

    The 636 fired right up considering how old it is and how problematic the 3600 hp 251 engine was epic sound at the summit

    I enjoyed your video, gave it a thumbs up and subscribed. I'm a newbie to this train watching thing and I hope you can help clarify a couple of things that I don't understand. 1. The Driftwood Turn: Is this simply a turn in the track that takes it south towards Driftwood? Because in a blog I read they discuss the Driftwood Turn versus the Emporium Turn. What is the difference? Is it dependent upon the destination of the train? 2. Second - in this same blog there were pictures of the WNY and Pa with a variety of different engines. Two of the engines were to power it up the Keating Summit (this I can understand) but others were necessary to pull it through the local turn to Port Allegany. Why? Can't the same engines do all the work? Here is a link to that blog so you can read for yourself. It is very interesting - just a bit foreign to me right now.
