Very skilled pilot. I know this is the omega collection, but the vita version was my first vita game. I still think it's a criminally underrated IP and it's sad to see PlayStation give up on it. Rock on dude

Yeah I love WipEout! There are some good newer AG racers out there though. I just uploaded a video for Redout and hope to do more videos for other AG racers in the future. Thanks for your comment!

Bro same, wipeout and katamari was the free digital game I got in a 3G bundle along with uncharted. lol. few years later we doing cfw.

game could have been bigger if it wasn't for being a release title. What Sony did to WipEout, push the game earlier and then drop it is just unforgivable. this game really had such an impact on my interests. It was my start into drum and base music and also sci fiction. while I did played Star Wars Podracer and a rip of AceSpeeder before, Wipeout 2048 was my first time I actually realised there is a genre around this so its kinda also my entrance title to the genre.

Gosh I love this game. I never played WipEout Omega Collection, but I did play WipEout 2048 on my favourite PS console ever!

I own the playstation Vita version "(could I remote play without a sim card I'm struggling to find myself a playstation Vita sim cards

I love the fact that the alternate livery/colors of the ships for Feisar, Auricom, AG Systems and Qirex in this game use the original color ways from the first WipEout game where they first appeared.

It makes even more sense considering that this is a good 15-20 years before the events of the first game.

Playing this on PSVR was special. Just looking out the window and seeing another ship right beside you was very cool.

Unity Square is my favorite so far.

2048 was a fantastic game, but one big missed opportunity was the lack of team play between all ship classes. What I mean is, you have Speed, Combat and Agility ships (there's also the Experimental variants but those are more gimmicky). Imagine a 15 ship grid where each team has all three classes on track and each one has a role in the race: Speed ships try to get to the front as fast as possible, agility always take the fastest routes/shortcuts and Combat ships attack opponents and defend teamates, causing havoc on the track. None of this was plausible given limitations and design choices but it could had added an extra layer of complexity and immersion into 2048.

I still remember the trailer where they showed that vita will be getting this game on release. I was like I'm not a fan of futuristic racing game. But then when I got my first vita 3g bundle Uncharted. This is one of the free game that comes with it. I remember having a blast when I master this game. The sound tracks and the sfx was so pleasing. It's a premium game experience imo.

You are a god :) Downtown is so tough when doing the speed lap. There is no boost item pick ups any tips?

I haven't played in a while although I think generally for speed laps I have a few tips: 1) Hold a boost for one lap then use it right before you go over the start line. As you pass the start line you will gain another boost to use whilst benefitting from the boost from the lap before. 2) Barrel roll as much as you can. 3) Learn the optimal route (if the track has several paths). For Downtown I believe the only shortcut is towards the end of the track, you can cut through a building instead of taking a long right turn. 4) Ship selection. I would recommend Feisar (Speed) for most of the game or AG Systems (Speed). I use other ships just to have some variety in the video although from memory those two ships greatly outclass the majority of others. Good luck, I hope this helps :)

If this WipeOut gameplay was shown to me as a kid, back in 1997, I would shit my pants and question my reality... hehehe, Well done, developers, well done! KUDOS!
