Welcome to the Wintersun craziness.

By far, this is my favourite song in a couple of recent years. It includes almost everything I like in music. It is melodic, it is pretty heavy. It combines aggressive riffs with top-level technical playing. It is epic and powerful. It combines symphonic black metal with opera elements. Jari uses both a clean vocal and growling and there is a choral singing in the background. And just like all epic songs, it is rather a few separate songs combined in one mega song. Time by Wintersun is simply a masterpiece.

Jari was way ahead of his time 13 years ago. I can only imagine how Time II will sound when it finally sees the light. Timeless pieces of albums. What a master at his work.

What a rolercoaster of emotions. Joy, hate, anger, Melancholy, amazement, love, loneliness, rage, euphoria. This is so powerfull ... i am a grown man but i still get watery eyes listening to this track. 15/10 will listen again.

Am just a little cat drunk but I still feel the same. So much of everything! I just love it...Like I love everything from Wintersun. *Hears a knock at my door after hearing sirens which is unusual for my area and answers the door in sweats, slippers and a Wintersun tee, Wintersun in the background, nearly killing myself falling on my cat and other crap as I forgot my glasses:* "Uh, what can I do to help you this fine night and please do come in, but mind yourself around Kai. *chuckles* He's a good kitty but goes as berserk as me when something epic being played by his namesake is on! *The cops:* You just mentioned exactly what we wanted to talk to you about miss. *They hand me back my ID* *Me:* "Oh?!" *Cops*: "You see we are going to have to take you in as your neighbors complained that, 'While your music may be awesome or epic to you and maybe others it's just too much so to keep it out in the open! So please do understand that this isn't for a noise violation but'..." *Me:* *Cuts him off standing right by the speakers knowing cutting him off AND going for the knob could get me into more trouble if this ridiculousness is true. However, it just seems so absurd that I have to do anything to try and figure out just how "real" this madness is! Flicks the knob up casually in the quick moment they all slightly turn their heads and talk to each other and they miss it until they hear it and Kai starts jumping and scampering about like he's at a concert and lands in my arms purring! Notices a few doing all they can not to join Kai and they clearly see the strained look on my face too trying not to so I don't make this farce any worse if it's real!:* "Sir, excuse me please I have to ask you 'but what'? I have heard of and read many a random and seemingly comical law in my life that would seem better fit for a stand-up night at the college and university I went to for my legal aide degree than an actual law book! *thinks to myself, then again I did see some ridiculous one about not being allowed to let ducks and geese cross to the left side of town in a small city in Alabama!* *The Cops:* "We all agree that this new law is a disgusting and disgraceful over reach of power, '...but, like I was saying earlier, none the less it does exist now and so I am going to have to kindly ask you to please turn that off and come with us. We will not hold against you the boldness of cutting off an officer and being daring enough to test this law as I did spot your degree when I came in. So, I had a feeling due to how new this law is you've yet to cross its path!' *eyes me as I turn it off* We will allow you to make arrangements for your little beauty at the station. *He notices me open my mouth again and holds a finger to his lips* It's time now please." *Me:* "Wait! Surely they thought it was also too epic as well and you have them rounded up!?! *hears a knock*" *Cop:* *Looks at the lady standing there slightly disheveled* "Who are you m'am?" *River:* *glances at me and then answers him getting her ID out* "I am her friend and neighbor River Montigue. She also happens to be a legal aide working for me! *She starts to get just assertive enough to make them uneasy, but not enough so things could go downhill* Please fill me in here immediately!" *Cop not by the door:* *I look over at him then down at my cat* He whispers, 'Don't worry, I own 3 myself.' *taps his notepad directing my gaze down and I read it* 'The reason no one else is going in is that they reported the music as meh or OK but have always heard you say things like, "This is the greatest, most epic, et cetera music ever and sited you turning it up extremely loud as if you are trying to overly emphasis the point anytime of the day you are in, driving home, et cetera.' The law also has a slight law similar to covering noise ordinances to try and counteract the whole thing about this law just seeming to present itself as a freedom of speech and other first amendments rights violations. He's been a little sick lately and they were actually, somehow able to give him tasty meds I've had to do everything to hide! *I can tell they are trying to hide suspicions about it and think my reason is a little beyond flimsy. They have every right to as it was actually a nonsensical code we came up with due to how similar the designs of both our houses are in case something like this happened! Kai's actually quite healthy and his food's in the cabinet directly to the left of the microwave! Pets Kai and tells him to be good for River and his sitter. Then heads out with them trying to look just ashamed enough for a perp walk and at the same time keeping enough dignity as a neighbor that complained steps out shouting 'Good on ya officers!', just before we get in the car. I submit to the required handcuffs and raise my free hand to my face pretending to sneeze, but actually stifle a laugh and grin, then sneezes for 'effect'! River deals with Kai, brings the things in the places I mentioned that were actually 'essentials' should someone in law wind up in something so pathetic or severe as this and handles it much more smoothly than it could go than without them! After River takes me back home not actually leaving Kai with anyone as we both knew we could get this dropped in less than 4 hours we blast Wintersun on the way back, starting just after we are 3 feet from the precinct's parking lot and less than a minute walk to the courthouse, rubbing it in their faces!*

One of the best metal compositions of all time. Hands down

For me, this should be the national anthem of Finland.

Fucking epic... no other way to describe the experience watching this for the first time. I am a 53y.o who loves her classical music, my Enya on a Sunday morning, my Alexa "play 70's rock" channel and My John Denver ... but this body of music is so powerful. Best chorus riff I think I've ever heard and your vocals are so passionate. Wow! And that drummer.. holy hell... Just quality. So happy my son introduced your music to me. I may not be able to handle a full album, but these songs I will listen too over and over....

On the contrary, I am not impressed at all :-/ To me, this sounds over-compressed and I can barely hear the drums, especially the cymbals which sound quite dull. I am discovering this band and I will definitely search for other mixes though.

How fucking phenomenal is this performance. If there was no video, i would just assume this was the studio version as it's absolutely spot on.

Drummer loves the opening scream. All of them love what they do, amazing band.

I love this piece so fucking much! Especially this version right here. It's utterly perfect.

First time listener. I came looking for more bands/music like Wilderun. This definitely comes close and I'm impressed. The only thing I'd do differently is the incorporation of the backing track synths and sfx. They make up a great deal of the composition, yet they are -what sounds like filter-cut for most of it.

There sure is loads of talent in the same place here.. Hahto may be top 5 drummer in the world, Jari is beyond epic guitarist as is Teemu.. So yeah.. it just blows your mind watching/listening this..

Back in 2012 I was still studying in university and pretty much broke so I couldn't afford Time I CD and just simply stream WinterBorgirr's videos but last year I bought the Forest package on day 1

@@steveh88 They need (the record industry) to come up with something better if people are gonna buy records in the future. Vinyl sounds better for some reason but that's probably not an option.

The heartbeat 💓 of the song - drums Kai Hahto 🤘🤘🤘

One of, if not the greatest project ever to grace this world. There is so much more in a single WIntersun song than there is in 90% of all music combined. Raw emotion, absolute musical mastery, perfect arrangement... This is as close to perfection as it can conceivably get. It's incredible how music can drag you through the pits of Hel and yet makes you feel you can fight another day, while at other moments soars up in euphoric bliss. What's even more mind boggling is how Wintersun manages to do all that in one single song. And then do it again in several others. The kind of emotional roller coaster I can't help but feel privileged to have witnessed.

What a band... Finest musicianship !

The fucking vocals, the fucking guitars, the fucking drums, the fucking background tone and the fucking Jegermeister I am drinking makes this fucking heavens anthem. And the word "fucking" here is not a swearing word, it's just my inability to describe how beautiful this song is. Every single piece of this song is on its place. Thank you for making this music, it makes me happy in some incredible way.

What kind of northern sorcery is this that allows you all to get such amazing sounds from your instruments and voices. I can’t quite find the right words to convey how this epic song makes me feel- uplifted, transcended, emotional, happy, in awe- doesn’t quite convey the impact it has on me and my soul. Kai’s and jari’s faces at the end says it all. Thank you all for your 🎤 🎼 🎸 🥁 🎶

Brutal, Legendary song

Just played this to my wife (we're just hitting 50) and she liked it and commented' reminds me of rainbow rising'. What she means is 'i know class when I hear it'. Wonderful band

Just turned 48, loved Rainbow, especially Rising, since my music teacher recorded the album on C-cassette. Was -78 i think. Still on my playlist, Stargazer being THE song for me. These guys are amazing, painting the melodic picture, just like Rainbow used to do. I can just put my headphones on and drift to another world. Old guys unite! :D
