Excellent explanation and it worked like you explained. Thank you for speaking slowly and explaining it in such an easy way. Sometimes IT folks explain things in computer language and some of us can’t understand it. So I appreciate you explaining calmly and accurately how to fix the problem. Will definitely look you up again if I ever have more computer issues. Thanks for your talent!!!
right guys. please just try the cable thing. i am a stubborn person and i was confident that the cables weren't the issue. in the end i gave in and it detected my monitor. even if the cables look fine, just give it a go. switch cables. that was my fix. Earned a sub!

Why would my desktop not be detected if I log out for lunch then log back in. It works when I first start in the morning but we are required to log off for lunch and when I log back in it shows it isn't detectable even though nothing has changed? It happens everyday.
I have a built-in computer monitor Toshiba LX830 (Running on Windows 7). But it unable to detect 2nd display on my Dell I2312HM monitor or AOC I2757FH despite using USB>HDMI and HDMI>VGA adapters. Toshiba only has HDMI (In) & few USB 2.0 & 3.0 ports. Tried on my smart tv it works though. Any advice? Can i try using other cables/ adapters like USB>Displayport or USB>VGA? Or the Windows OS need to be updated in order to be able to detect multiple display?
thank you

Thanks for the awesome video. However I try to connect 2 monitors to my laptop. I try different way. Adding HDMI adapter. I still cannot detect the 3rd monitor. Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated. I have a Dell Inspiron 13 5000 series laptop. I am wondering if I can connect 2 monitor to this laptop. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
legend cheers mate
solved my problem thanks
Thanks man😂😂😂I just needed to extend display
Is ther any option in Intel integrated HD graphics setting for multiple monitor enable.. because I hd tried everything
I've tried everything and what you show here didn't work either. I currently have a new (bought 05/2021) computer with Windows 10 and a 2007 second monitor. The 2007 has VDI port, and my new all-in-one computer monitor has HDMI. I have the appropriate cord to link them. My old monitor is on, and when I click the input button on it it says DVI 1 not active, DVI 2 not active and goes to sleep. I've restarted my computer with all port connections disconnected (I have an infinity foot pedal, keyboard and wireless mouse) except the mouse....still did not work. In fact, I don't see a 2nd monitor option under "Monitors" either. Bought this new computer at Best Buy and was told 2 monitors could connect on it and in the questions/answers in the reviews on it, people say yes it can connect to another monitor and that is how they work. PLEASE HELP!!!
thx mate.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!
I'm using a HDMI to DP adapter. The 2nd monitor finally gets connected, but when I click on Detect it still says unable to connect, and when I either lock the screen or restart the computer. I have disconnect all the cables to get the 2nd monitor to connect again.
I am using a Asus 144hz 1080p monitor connected with DVI to my GTX 1070, the second monitor i've bought is Asus 1366x 768 60hz connected to my pc motherboard through VGA, i can't detect it, what i'm doing wrong?
I'm using 2 vga ports and using a vga splitter, and plugged it into my computer, and its not working.....or is it really won't work because of that?
Love ya thank you:)
For whatever reason after enabling the 3d option I can't get the ...how many display screen section back ... And can't install the third party video card software
I currently have 3 monitors. booted it up as usual but now it's only at 64 Hertz when it's usially at 165. only the main monitor works altho it doenst detect any monitors when I go to the system... help
my monitor is connected but it doesnt show up in the display settings so i cant change it to extend its only duplicated can u help pls
Can somebody help me because i just got a second monitor and i checked the cable and everything but when i turn on my second monitor it just says that its on the power saving mode and goes black and i dont know how i can turn the power saving mode off.

dunno if you ever got a answer to your question, but yes both have to be from the gpu.
My tv display is not giving me any picture but the HDMI is connecting. My LG display just keep on indicating "no signal". It was working fine before but just as of a few hours ago it's not giving me picture. Swapped out cables which is not the issue. Reset factory setting on display and update all drivers. Don't smoke so no matches or lighter.
Thank you so much it worked....OMG New Sub!!!

I love you
My GPU only detect HDMI but not Display Port.. I thought I can use both HDMI and DP
Okay, so, I just got a second monitor and the thing is, Windows DEFINITELY knows it is there. In fact, when I boot up the computer, both monitors work and show the same booting data, and even show the Windows symbol together. But as soon as Windows 10 fully loads, the picture goes exclusively to my primary monitor. in the Display Settings menu, monitors 1 and 2 are both visible. But when I hit "Detect," I get an alert reading "Didn't detect another display." And the thing is, only one monitor can work at a time. On my primary monitor, when I select "Extend these displays," it accomplishes nothing. Only my primary monitor displays the picture. Conversely, when I tell it to Display only on 2, the picture goes to the second monitor, and when I tell it to "Extend these displays," it accomplishes nothing. Only my secondary monitor displays the picture. Each monitor is acknowledged and works. But apparently, only one at a time, and I can't "Extend these displays" from either monitor. What exactly is going on and how do I fix this problem?
He’s legit thanks 🙏 I’m not a botbtw lol
I actualy just swap the port on the monitor and it fixed it
Both my monitors on but i cnt expand it it sees both as one
Checked every cable and the pc still can't find it. Any tips?
The answer is GeForce Experience and update your drivers that way ;) that's how I got my second monitor to pop up
My monitor isnt displaying anything at all not even the monitor stuff when you turn it on
It worked!!!!

May I ask?my laptop is an old laptop. It doesn't have HDMI port. It only has VGA port. And my external monitor has 2 ports (HDMI and VGA). So I bought the adaptor VGA to HDMI cable. The result was, weird. my pointer was able to went to the second monitor. And my laptop showed if the second monitor connected, but it wasn't showing anything. What do you think about this?
My settings dont look like this so i dont know What to do
i just needed to lower the refresh rate on the second display
It won't detect my tablet 😞 i am using hdmi to usb 3.0 but still not working even if i have all the ports, please heeeelp!

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear about your display issues. I have a few questions: 1. What kind of tablet are you using? 2. Just to be sure, one end of the hdmi is plugged into your monitor and the other end into your hdmi-to-usb and the usb into your tablet, is that correct? Quick fix attempt: 1. Go to "Device Manager" application by searching in the toolbar. 2. Click on "Action" in the top toolbar menu 3. Select "Scan for hardware changes" Note: You may have to disconnect/reconnect.
what if detect but no signal still
i upgraded to windows 10 this morning from windows 7. My second monitor which is hooked up through VGA hasnt worked all day, ive spent 12 hours trouble shooting this crap, wasted my whole day, ive come to the conclusion that VGA is messed up with windows 10 on my pc. i uninstalled different intel r hd graphics and reinstalled probably 5 different times, i could never rollback the driver after the update either. my last resort was to revert back to windows 7 bc i have a 10 day window, so after i reverted back, everything was back to normal, so if anyone has any ideas let me know.
Mines doesn't show One or two, it only shows one.
what if i see no display
It says "Didn't setect another display" my first monitor is a vga and my other one is an hdmi

Thanks for reaching out Presley, if you went through all the steps in video - you may also want to double check that your second monitor has the correct "hdmi" input selected. Feel free to reach out to us at support@helpdeskcafe.com for additional assistance.
really did not fix my issue, my windows 10 doesnt even show the thing at the top where u can see the displays and move them around

I'm sorry you weren't able to fix your issue following our troubleshooting video! Since you can't see the identify monitors section, you may have installed the Windows 10 Creators Update. The Windows 10 Creators Update doesn't display the identify monitors section if it only detects one display. If it's been less than 10 days since your update you can uninstall the update to resolve the issue (see Step 2). If not you may have to update your graphics drivers for your computer (see Step 1). --- Step 1 Here is an official Microsoft article explaining the process for doing so: support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-drivers-in-windows-10-ec62f46c-ff14-c91d-eead-d7126dc1f7b6 (Look under "Display Adapters" to find your graphics drivers) --- Step 2 How to uninstall Windows 10 Creators Update (within 10 days): 1. Go to Start -> Settings -> Update & Security 2. Select Recovery -> Get Started -> Go back to an earlier build For a more in depth walkthrough on uninstalling Windows 10 Updates, see here: www.howtogeek.com/235474/how-to-roll-back-builds-and-uninstall-updates-on-windows-10/ --- I appreciate your feedback and I hope you're able to resolve your issue with the additional steps above, if not please email us at support@helpdeskcafe.com and we will help you out best we can.

It does not show Multiple displays
It’s always the drivers… always!
Your Windows is actually detecting 2 displays.
I don’t see it
Not helpful. I have two monitors and a laptop. I don’t want to use the laptop monitor. I want to use both big monitors. But there is no one on you tube explaining how to fix this😬
Basically, unplug and reconnect was all this was. Was everyone just not plugging their cable in properly that said "thank you" lol. Where's the technical trouble shooting?
I only have one detected
poor guy just tried to help and got 200 dislikes :(
Hey you won’t see this probably but still, one of my cables is hdmi and the other is dp for some reason, the dp monitor won’t show up, I have tried updating drivers, looking at multiple videos and read articles but I can’t find a way for the to work
I have 2 displays in my settings, even when nothing is connected. Shitty Windows
So many bots below this comment xd I hate comment bots
didnt work but thanks anyway
this video almost brung out the worse in me.
not helping at all...
this video didn't help me at all. but neither has any other video. I guess I have the only fucking computer of its kind. here's what I did. my computer only has 1 hdmi port. so i buy a splitter. so it just duplicates my 1 monitor onto both. but it doesn't recognize the 2nd monitor nor does it give me options to extend display its just one display cloned onto 2nd monitor
