Thank your video was very helpful, wasn't picking up any connection to hdmi from laptop to tv after a recent update, I went to Intels website as you advised and installed latest drivers for graphics card and problem solved thanks again!

I solved it by changing the herts (screen refresh rate). First go to 2:33, then click on"Display adapter properties for Display 2" after having selected display 2 on the top right corner. Then go to the monitor section and reduce / play around with the hertz by lowering it. I lowered it to 48 and it suddenly began working. Hope it helps

Hi there, thank you for your question! IF you tried all the steps in the video can you provide me with some more information can you turn the laptop on when not plugged into the TYV via hdmi does it still display if it does then its most likely and issue with the port or cable and I would recommend trying a different cable.

A simple restart did the trick thank you

Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried all the steps in the video I would recommend trying to update the display drivers as this can sometimes cause the issue. If that doesn't resolve your issue I would recommend trying a different screen/cable.

Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried all the steps in the video and nothing worked try going to your power options and select change plan settings and change advanced power settings and verify that nothing is conflicting with your HDMI connection.

Well... I DONT KNOW WHY THIS IS WORKING,... at first I told it was so silly to unplug the cable but I tried and it works :))

Been dealing with this issue for going on 3 days now… Gonna try these methods and see if they work on my Haytch DMI!

I'll share how I fixed my HDMI port that just decided to stop sending a signal to my secondary monitor... I was watching Invincible on my secondary monitor, walked away and when I finally came back to my laptop, when it woke up, the secondary monitor wouldn't come on. I swapped out cables, power cycled it, rebooted my laptop, updated the graphics drivers. Nothing worked. Then I went to the support page for my laptop, updated the BIOS and then it started working again. It's so bizarre. Oh well, at least it works now!

Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend turning off your laptop. then repeatedly press the F11 key as you restart your laptop. Select “Troubleshoot” and then “System Recovery” and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password as part of the factory reset process.

Bro but my laptop screen broken someone said install windows 7 to work hdmi cable when I installed it also don't work any suggestions

Mine is worse, laptop monitor died due to water damage. The laptop only worked when connected to TV, but not to monitor, even with the same HDMI cable. Tried again today and now the TV isnt connecting. It shows the boot loading screen and then goes blank. But i can hear the computer respond so i know it has successfully booted

It's most likely that there is water damage in the port itself as when u spilled on your laptop you should leave it to dry without touching it for a days to make sure all the water has evaporated I would recommend taking it to a professional for further assistance to see if they can fix the issue.

for me it says " display 2 isnt active "

Hi there, thank you for your question! First, ensure secure cable connections between your laptop and the external monitor. Try different cables or ports if needed. Turn off the laptop, disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery (if possible), hold the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect and turn it on. If none of those work try resetting your graphics drivers.
