@@itzluiss9311 in my almost 20 years of having this issue, i fixed mine hundreds of times by- 1.remove/install Ram 2.remove/install Grafics card 3.switch to different Psu 4.switch hdmi cable/converter 5.If monitor can Display now, shake Pc Case a little and if it Turns off right after u shake it, its the Mobo. 5.Sweat a lot, like a lot 😂😂😂

Perfect basic troubleshooting video. My friend shipped me a PC cross-country and it wouldn't start. I was very focused on the video card, but as this video points out, if the mouse/keyboard isn't being powered it may be a RAM issue. Turns out one of the sticks of RAM needed a very firm reseat. Did that and everything worked. Thanks very much!

used duster from can to clean computer wouldn't restart. reseated ram back to working MB big thanks, saved me from buying a new computer

Tysm. My uncle gifted me his old pc and I was so scared that I'd broken it but I just had the HDMI cable plugged in to the motherboard and not the graphics card. This video was very helpful and I'm so glad you got straight to the tips and didn't ramble on for 2 min

I was losing hope and I figured this was another video where it works for everyone else and it my specific problem. But, to my pleasant surprise you delivered and gave enough solid solutions that one of them worked! Thank you so much, liked the video of course.

Dude i cant thank you enough, everywhere on the internet ive only found stuff about resetting bios, removing cmos batteries, cleaning ramsticks, and whatnot, and all this time i didnt even know that the graphics driver had its own Hdmi port, until now because of you, thank you and i wish you all the luck in the world

No word of a lie this. I unplugged my old monitor and plugged in a new gaming monitor. No signal. I unplugged it and plugged in the old one. No signal. I started to wonder what was going on, I don't like it when my tech doesn't work. I tried all the usual things, plugging unplugging, then I used my device to try to find a solution. I found you on youtube on my device. Then I realised something. I had unplugged the hdmi, and plugged it back into my motherboard, rather than the graphics card. Your vid saved me. True story.

Dude just saved my life, I was plugging my monitor into the motherboard and not the graphics card! Your the shit

Jesus. Was freaking out about this for 3 days. Only for it to be my ram being not fully pushed in. Thank god. Don’t have any stores or repair centers around to try and fix stuff. So such a simple fix saved me from some major costs.

Hey man, I almost called the company I bought the monitor from to tell them about the issue. I didn't know there were more HDMI openings on my computer case. I kept plugging it inside the motherboard instead of the one on the computer case. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Thank you for this. I thought my hdmi port went bad and was getting aggravated since I ruled out the cable and monitor being the problem with known good items. The problem was in fact operator error on my part as I plugged the cord into the wrong hdmi port on the computer itself. I was plugging into the motherboard one like you showed with the arrow instead of the graphics card one.

Great video! It's awesome how you explained this step by step 'if this doesn't fix it, try this next', my issue was actually the RAM put in backwards 😅

Well, my mouse and keyboard work, I can launch Steam without a display, so I know the PC works.

I removed my Ram stick and reseated it back into it's slot and like magic my monitor is working properly again...we have been without this PC until I found your video ...you are a life saver 👍

Absolutely wild. This happened to me right after a windows update so I was sure it had to do with that. Had no other ideas so figured it was worth a try to reseat the RAM, and lord if the monitors didn't just fire right up LOL. Thanks so much!

Thank you for this information! I was using a known-working GPU with known-working cables and monitors, I was about to start looking on the motherboard when I came across your video and found that the RAM was slotted in the A2-B2 SO-DIMMs and when I put them in correctly the display came back!! Very helpful!!!

been having issues with my computer where it would crash and randomly turn off for months. when checking event viewer it said "kernel power failure". My computer stopped displaying to my monitor and i came across this video, seems like my CMOS battery was at fault and i quickly reset it. did the trick. Thank you!

You forgot one thing... Monitors and TV's have their own onboard processors of some sort or another these days. They lock up and turn inputs off and require a reset of some sort such as rebooting the PC or disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable before the HDMI input comes back to life. The joys of everything becoming computerized.

Love you man....I tried everything you suggested. Then whammo PC back on. It worked!!!! I've been at this for a couple of weeks watching all the wrong videos 😊 Your suggestions were the only ones that worked. Funds are low but I'm rich with stubborness to first try to fix with remote KZread help. 💃💃💃💃 From Oakland California. GRACIAS!!!

I reseated my RAM. Rebooted my PC And then...IT WORKED!! Thanks a bunch! 🙂

For anyone who is still having trouble after all of these methods: what I did to fix my issue was using the hdmi cable that came with my ps4. If you have an extra hdmi cable lying around, try it out and switch the input to hdmi on the monitor's menu. Idk why this works now when my original DP display cable has worked for 2 years, but whatever. I'm just glad it works now. Tech can be so fickle sometimes... Update: once I was able to get my display back via HDMI, I went into my nvidia control panel and plugged the original display cable into a second display port. In the nvidia panel, I then set everything back to the way I had it, and once I switch over to DP in the monitor's settings, the original display worked once more. My issue was caused by a game altering the resolution, leading me to turn off my PC in hopes that a restart would correct things. It didn't, so I had to fiddle with things for a while until I figured it out.
