Win Hill to Crookstone Knoll on Kinder Scout - Peak District Walk

Win Hill to Crookstone Knoll on Kinder Scout a fantastic walk in the Peak District National Park.
So after a decision to head over to Crookstone knoll, Madwomans Stones and bag another Trig point on Edale Moor I decided instead of parking near Edale I would start off near Bamford and Ladybower Reservoir.
The reason for this is Win Hill is my favourite hill in the Dark Peak / High Peak area and I have not been up there since last year. So thought id go up and over my favourite hill, head towards Hope Cross and then up to Crookstone Knoll that way.
I hope you enjoy sharing this adventure with me and it may give you an idea of a hike in the area yourself.
Please comment or get in touch if you would like further information on the route.
Thank you for taking the time to click on my video!

A teams call got in the way of me watching lol!...but watch we did. You captured some solid fooathe again, to right there are some lovely little gems in that area, nice to find the secret spots hey! This area looks so accessible, loving the views too. Why is Win Hill your favourite Chris? Certainly offers some smashing views and a pretty little trig! We do like the looks of the Peak District, the trouble we have is the distance, if we travel up that far we normally drive on to the lakes, we really should book a PD trip in. That was one hell of a conga-line that passed you! Should have started singing the do-do-do let's all do the Conga! Mad womens stones sounds so cool too, right up our alley! Nice moody skys all day too, pleased the veiws stayed clear for you. Catch you again mate, nice to see your notification pop up and your smiley face on the Tube! Ceri and Kat ☕❤👍

@@TeaInValhalla Haha no worries glad you got to watch in the end and happy you enjoyed it! I just love the shape of Win Hill when you look at it from other hills and there are amazing 360° views of most of the Dark Peak / High Peak area. Not quite sure how to pin point it just absolutely love it there. Yeah you should definitely get there, id love to go to the Lakes more but the peaks is only 1 n half hours from me where ther Lakes is 3 - 4 hours depending where im going. So a mission for day trips lol. Im going to see if I can get there this week though as im off!! That line was a joke I spoke to them they had come in 2 mini busses and 3 cars and was over 35 of them. Guess where they were goin?... Crookstone Knoll!! 😂😂 Which is usually dead thats why I was going lol. So I powered on past them all haha. Definitely looked cool with the moody skies and so happy you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching the video and giving me a lovely comment, really is appreciated a lot! 🙏🏼🤜🏻❤🤛🏻😊😊👍🏻👍🏻 Take care both and enjoy your weekend... Chris

A great route there Chris. I had to laugh at that walking group that passed you. That’s the biggest group of walkers I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t think of anything worse than walking in a group that size! That’s more of a social event than a walk 😆. Those peat moors are certainly boggy after all of the rain we’ve had too. Better weather is on the way thankfully 🙂

Thanks! Haha yeah it was a joke!! I spoke to them and they were going to.... you guessed it, Crookstone Knoll exactly where I was going!! When that route is usually dead too. So powered past them... They were pretty boggy after all the rain yeah and some deep prints in there where people have gone to walk and their leg has gone in 😂 Roll on the better weather! Thanks so much for watching 😊😊👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Chris, nice to see you out again. We remember the first time we went up Win Hill. We approached from the woodland area of Ladybower which was a gradual hill until we got to a gate (looks similar to the route you took on this video back down to Ladybower). We didn't think Win Hill looked very difficult but when we got halfway climbing it we were out of breath 😂😂 It's definitely one of our favourites also. Great video as always, thank you 😊
